Koensayr Manufacturing

Koensayr. It was an odd thing, seeing the name back in production. For the longest time from what the clone could remember, it had been a name tied to the Black Sun Syndicate. Now it was under a new banner, a new owner, a new purpose. One of which was to bring to life the new BTL-S12 K-Wing for the Galactic Alliance.

Aeri was here on behalf of Mara Tibx & Fuels. Not just for a fueling contract but also to explore the potential of providing the raw materials for Koensayr and the Galactic Alliance for any future Bombers. To complete the deal they sent in the sultry Zeltron and the woman wasn't one to skimp on first impressions.

The former Companion and little known ex-Valkyrie had legs as long as the Kessel run and she was in no way unwilling to showcase them. The tight steely grey pencil skirt did a number on that svelte figure and coral legs, hem falling inches above her knees and that billowy white blouse two extra buttons undone to see the lacy black underneath. An icon of Aatrox the Deceiver swung between that dangerously low decolletage along a strand of Krayt pearls, as if a singular argent flagship framed by an armada of black pearls.

Her violet hair was cut in a posh A-line that ended right at her chin. It framed her angular face and the bright lavender eyes lined by a dark, smoky smudge of kohl. Top it off with salaciously crimson tinted lips and the woman was set.

Each step made a distinct tattoo on the polished floor, her dark heels echoing a distinct purposeful walk.

The Zeltron was set to meet someone here. Question was, would they be on time or late?

"[Late as expected Janes.]" Commodore Vern Vhabb exclaimed in her native tongue. "[The industry rep is already here and waiting.]"

Asmus gave an apologetic bow of the head. Under one arm was tucked his datapad and in his other hand was the white and gold hat that formed part of his regular naval officer's uniform. Had to dress smartly in front of industry apparently. He enjoyed coming to these sites where procurement was carried out. Lots of people from across the galaxy in civilian clothing. On top of that the canteen was far better than on any of the true military bases.

“I apologise Ma’am. Is this a technical or sales rep?” he asked. Not because he was after freebies of course. He trailed after the sullustan as she headed at a brisk pace towards the meeting room.

"Need to know basis, Janes." Commodore Vern Vhabb replied curtly, the pair reaching the double doors that would allow them entry to the conference room atrium. They were to meet in Aurek Nine, one of the smaller conference rooms with a large holoarray for presentations.

Two more double doors slid open and thus they would both be graced with the presence of one willowy tall Zeltron standing by the viewport. She was rather statuesque, coral skin bright and complimentary against the dark grey and white of her attire. Swiveling on the balls of her heels, Aeri Vyn turned to meet the Commodore and Asmus. A dazzling smile grew over her lips.

They were late.

"Greetings. I am Aeri Vyn of Arceneau Trade Company." she informed the pair, those exotic lavender eyes drifting from the Commodore to the dashing officer in uniform beside her. A perfectly manicured brow rose in interest.

Hmm. Maybe this will be interesting.

"[A pleasure, I'm Commodore Vhabb from procurement division and this is Squadron Leader Janes, better known as Rogue One,]" she said as she crossed the space between them and offered her hand. Asmus left his datapad on the table and kept a couple of steps behind, but stepped in closer when Vern moved away.

"Pleasure to meet you," he said with a slightly tilt of the head and a subtle, one-sided smile. Goodness, she's tall. Nope stop it. Danger.

With a professional decorum he returned to the table to find a seat. His cap was placed beside the datapad and he connected it up to the rooms projector. He brought up an agenda on the screen based on the slides he'd finished of for Vhabb.

"[The K-Wing, are you reasonably up to speed on the overall capabilities we require, or would you like Asmus to give you a run down?]"

They all took to their assigned seats. With the predatory grace of a Bha'lair, Aeri sank into her own. Right leg swung over the left, giving a slight rub of coy skin in between before she settled down. Everything that Aeri did evoked a tantalizing mental image. Was it the empathic nature that allowed her to sway others into liking her better? It was it her natural charisma that had been enhanced by her Companion training? It didn't matter, she was temptation incarnate and the posh executive reveled in it.

Turning towards the Rogue, Aeri gave a slight cant of her head to the right.

"Oh please," she began, gesturing for Janes to feel free to elaborate. "Tell me all I need to know." The way her lips moved along with her slight accent only painted the picture in brighter hues.

"I'm all ears."

It was the best way to discern what would be the needs that the trade company could fulfill. And who didn't like a pretty boy in uniform explaining all the details?

Easy on the eyes wasn't the half of it. Asmus decided he would have to start coming to more meetings with civilians if this is what they were like. Good caf and biscuits on the table too, he noted. Not what his appetite was focused on, but it couldn't have the other thing.

"We have two bomber projects running..."

"Of which one we have not bee cleared to discuss," the Commodore interrupted.

Asmus' smile tightened, but he held eye contact with the Zeltron rep. He despised it when people questioned his abilities. Then again he had turned up late. The holographic image changed to show a K Wing silhouette and a black cube with D written on it.

"Nevertheless there is public information on both procurements. Project D focuses on a lighter bomber. The K-Wing is a four man super heavy class bomber with flexible externally mounted ordnance. The armaments and shielding mean the vessel is intended to act as the wedge of an assault, with covering fighters in their wake. This is instead of lighter bombers following fighters in an assault." He held his hands out to make a wedge, representing the ship's cutting a path towards a target. In this case Aeri.

In crisp, clear tones he continued to describe the overall design. In his best middle class Eriaduan he outline some of the issues they were having with power management.

He amused her.

The corner of the Zeltron's mouth gave an upward twitch. One of the pros of being her species was that she was apt at picking up the subtle nuances of emotional shifts. Officer Janes giving the presentation was a distinctly amusing array of such. There was the subtle annoyance followed by distinct confidence. Having his abilities questioned had struck a cord or two.
Listening in to the distinct needs of the Aerofortress, Aeri tapped her stylus lightly and then began to take a few notes. One item in particular she'd be familiar with would be the VT Gatling guns. Haven Shipyards along with Mara Tibx and Arceneau Trade already worked hand in hand with Vanir Technologies; it helped that the CEO of the company was married to none other than the Queen of Trade herself.

These Gatling guns were a particular beauty too. The Particle Gatling, as its name would imply is simply the adaption of a simple Particle Beam weapon into Rotary Cannon Form. Its final form was the MK VII Particle Gatling. The MK VII as it's name would imply was a late variant of the Particle Gatling and was a reduced direct power consumption model. This meant that the weapon drew power directly from the Generator of the ship it was directly attached to. It also meant that the Particle Beams fired from the Particle Gatling were slightly less powerful than those fired from the SI-74.

The beams from the MK VII do less damage and strip less armor overall. However this was seen as an effective trade off due to the weapons rate of fire. Since Particle Beams work through explosive contact it was found that even though the MK VII packed less of a punch it was still more than capable of taking out lightly, medium, and through continued fire, heavily armored targets.

For most Rotary weapons, including some, Laser and Master Turrets this is not an issue. The barrels are simply fitted, the weapon is introduced into the feed system, and all goes well. When Vanir Technologies attempted to do this with the Particle Gatling it found that traditional methods were not supportive of the weapons heavy power draw.

Of course, because of the weapons massive power draws there are also other failings that could be presented, though this depends on the ship that the weapon is built around. These failings could include, but are not limited to, shield drop, speed inconsistencies, Significantly decreased maneuverability, and other flaws one might find when a good deal of a power generators out pout is consumed.

From what Aeri could recall, it was limited to ten seconds bursts. This is due to barrel heat as well as mechanical systems in the weapon, and power draw usage.

"Just to make the power distribution problem more complicated we've added a SLAM system. The pilots can divert energy to the main engines for a short period of time. Engine nozzles are like an interlocking leaf shutter. Before the system comes online the nozzles tighten up, reinforcing the nozzle and directing thrust down a tight beam," he explained. This time to emphasise his point Asmus interlocked his fingers.

"The energy is ramped up, accelerating ions at close to light speed whilst also pushing more mass through the chambers. For a time this great space whale can burn in a straight line like an X-Wing. Which is... Kind of the point I suppose. Tactical flexibility, but mostly so it can try to keep up with us for short periods." The quirk of his lips suggested that was no easy task.

Aeri gave a nod. With every piece that the Alliance officer elaborated on, the more a complete picture began to frame for the Zeltron's mind. Mara Tibx would work in this instance for providing a bid in resources and base materials. Since they were already working with Vanir Technologies, it would aide in having a combined package.

A small blink and then a lift of her chin.

"Beyond that is there anything else?" she inquired, amused just as much at the pilot's antics as his emotional cocksure flare. By all intents and purposes, since ATC worked with Vanir Technologies, she could very well wrap up the contracts for any of those companies for their products. At this rate they could easily get a noticeable discount with the bulk purchase.

Asmus was, as ever, driven by his stomach. He checked his chrono and then the time put aside for the meeting.

"Dinner," he replied. "Do you usually take the military personnel out after these kinds of meetings or do we have to entertain you in the officer's mess?"

Vern looked aghast, but this only seemed to amuse Asmus who kept his eyes on the ATC rep.

"I do apologise for Asmus, Ms Vyn. We usually keep him away from anything that isn't another fighter pilot. Squadron Leader Janes. Should you ever get invited to corporate hospitality you have to fill out a twenty two declaration form. We don't have an officer's mess here, just the canteen."

Asmus looked mildly put out by this. The canteen with its heating lamps and cold plastic tables was no place for goood company and conversation. Not even a proper officer's mess? Eugh.

"Actually there is a separate matter to discuss later," the Commodore said. "We've got a maintenance manpower shortage to support the increasing volume of craft we're trying to support. We have the facilities, just not enough skilled bodies.

More amusement went rippling across Aeri's face. With a throaty chuckle, the woman went leaning forward and answered the Commodore.

"Perfectly alright. I am sure we can arrange a meal for us to enjoy." she offered, flashing the Starfighter officer a secret wink. It wouldn't be any trouble at all. Wining and dining customers came with a healthy credit limit for such social occasions.

"Let me make the arrangements." the Commodore immediately began to make an objection, to which the Zeltron merely used her Zeltron charm to sway. There was a reason why Aeri got what she wanted. It was easy to see the slight relaxation flow over the Sullustan's expression and her manner shift to a more amicable mood.

[ Perhaps dinner would not be a bad idea. ]

Devilry shone in those lavender eyes.

"No, dinner is never a bad idea. One should indulge when it is on another's tab." she added, chuckling with good nature.

"We can discuss your maintenance needs there. We have options which you can consider based on your security needs."
