OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: Aerial Arts
  • Classification: Acrobatics Studio
  • Location: Blossom Market Street, Baker's Row, Seven Corners, Denon
  • Affiliation: Rented by Dagon Kaze Dagon Kaze , property owned by the Corporate Authorities of Denon
  • Accessibility: Open to the public
  • Description: Its entrance is inconspicuous, nestled between numerous vendors within a small bedesten part of the large Blossom Market. While half of the studio is still in repairs, its central area where the classes are taught is fully ready. The plaster and paint are fresh but evidently done by amateurs - Yula Perl, Jem Fossk Jem Fossk , and Dagon. Most of the equipment is second-hand and bought either from Blossom Market itself or imported from Coruscant. The studio is situated underground to account for its size; after all, you need space to swing on trapezes.

While there are two other volunteer trainers, both Yula Perl and Jem Fossk Jem Fossk often take the role of demo models in the classes when the trainers are not available. The classes are conducted at seven o'clock every other weekday and go on for an hour and a half. Beyond the acrobatics lessons, martial arts, mainly in the form of Stava, Teras Kasi, and Broken Gate, are taught in conjunction.

SECURITY
High
: Designed and implemented by Yula Perl, the security system of the studio is highly sophisticated and complicated to bypass. Its alarm lines are connected to their place and wristpads, including Arthur - the A. I. The alarm signals are encoded and scrambled as to make discerning its destination a difficult riddle to solve. There are no auto-turrets or military-like emplacements, after all this is a studio. Furthermore, the studio is insured by a local insurance corporation. Yula doesn't know that. Yet.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Inspired by the rebuilding efforts of Zaka Zaka on Ponemah, Dagon Kaze, the Jedi Watchman of Denon, came to the conclusion that he also needed to provide a service to the community he was responsible. As a naturally gifted and well-trained tumbler, the Knight opened up the Aerial Arts studio for acrobatics and self-defense classes, mainly targeted - but not limited to - at children. The fee is symbolic and always waived to anyone really struggling with money. Oddly enough, single moms with divorce settlement cash to blow tend to give a hefty tip after each class. Wonder why.
