- Breech loading allows only one shot at a time, and has a low firing rate as well
- Very noisy
- Indiscriminate
- Useless at point-blank range
- Long setup time (about 90 seconds)
A minimum time of 90 seconds is required to set up an Adywan-II on the field or to remove it for moving the team in or out. As with all mortars, there is a range below which the Adywan-II cannot hit; for this reason, it is required to be supported by other elements to be fully effective. Also, given the slow muzzle velocity, it is easy for mortars to miss small or mobile targets and hence must be used only against massed targets, large targets or against immobile targets such as fortifications.
Note: The Adywan-II's blast radius is about 175m and therefore can cause a lot of damage, especially closer to the center of the blast. As a consequence, it is also indiscriminate.
