[ADMIRAL HEINOUS]

"He is more machine than alive - though more dangerous for it."

NAME: Admiral Heinous
FACTION: Confederacy of Independent Systems
RANK: Admiral
SPECIES: Humanoid
AGE: Unknown
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 6'4"
BUILD: Bulky

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

The mysterious Heinous sported a towering build. Despite the fact that he has taken a tactician role in the Confederacy, Heinous's skills in melee combat have been noted to be of a high standard for humanoids.

Yet, it was common knowledge in the Confederacy that Heinous seemed to rely on a life support system in his armor. The natural environment of Heinous was unknown, and it was uncertain whether or not breathing air not from his suit's air tanks would be fatal. However, it was certain that if denied of his suit's life support, Heinous would physically suffer.

Fortunately for Heinous, most of his contributions to the Confederacy were aboard a capital ship. He displayed a sharp talent for military strategy and excellent understanding of old hyperspace routes to allow for efficient travel of fleets and surprising ways to attack targets. His ability in logistics was unmatched. This provided his fleets with high maneuverability - allowing him to outrun much more advanced opponents until they fell into his trap. He seemed very knowledgeable of the galaxy and its politics and thus allowed the Confederacy to exploit deep seated political rivalries.

When it came to the tactical scene, Heinous deferred most decisions to his subordinates. It was apparent that he had his mind set on the big picture and was suited for grand strategy.

SHIP:

Commissioned by the contemporary Confederacy of Independent Systems, Heinous's flagship is a common larger-variant of the Providence-class destroyer dubbed Vanishing Hand.

BIOGRAPHY:

Records of Heinous do not exist before 835 ABY. It was roughly the time of Donanyd's destruction that Heinous appeared in the soon to be Confederate systems. He had already amassed a collection of Imperial ships. He claims to have obtained them through use of force - how so he has not gone into detail. It has been assumed that he was a pirate that managed to steal these ships from the Empire's fringe worlds.

Before the creations of the Confederacy, Heinous displayed his strategic prowess through a series of devastating victories against organized fleets in the Arkanis sector. It was assumed that he acted as a mercenary at the time and possibly worked for one of the founding members of the Confederacy in order to destabilize the area. One of his signature ploys against the much larger fleets of the Arkanis sector was displayed during the Battle of Issor.

Prior to the battle, he had split up his much smaller forces into three even smaller navies. This prompted the Arkanis coalition to split their navy into three in order to pursue Heinous's forces across different systems. Arkanis scouts found one of Heinous's contingencies in the Issor system. They sent one of the three Arkanis fleets to take out Heinous's forces. Heinous pulled off a simple ruse and knowingly baited Arkanis forces to engage him in Issor. He already had his other two fleets en route through Hyperspace to Molavar when the battle began. Outnumbered and just above Issor's atmosphere, the Arkanis force in the system was destroyed.

At that point, Heinous and the rest of the Arkanis coalition navy were matched in size. A face-to-face engagement would have been a Pyrrhic victory to whoever survived. The Arkanis shadowed Heinous across the sector as Heinous raided backwater planets for supplies and money. Eventually, Heinous once again split his navy - this time into two parts, one larger than the other. Having learned their lesson, the Arkanis army did not split. The larger fleet moved for the planet Arkanis, which was naturally the sector's capital. In response, the sector fleet chased after that part of the navy as the smaller part raided Cadezia.

Using his knowledge of the area, Heinous had managed to bribe rivals to the Regency Worlds just prior to the Battle of Arkanis. Many of these rival worlds sought to eventually hold a superior position compared to the more united Regency Worlds and held no special interest to Arkanis. Heinous promised a portion of the wealth he stole during his raids as well as sparing their planets from further attack. As a result, when the Battle of Arkanis began, the forces from the worlds Heinous bribed withdrew from the system. This left the Arkanis fleet with half the number of Heinous's that was in the system and suffered from a lack of crucial support ships. The battle was swift and the result was the total defeat of the Arkanis sector fleet.

By the time Heinous's campaign in Arkanis ended, it had turned 836 and the Confederacy had formed. Using the campaign as sort of a resume, Heinous offered his services to the Confederacy. Despite being labeled as a warlord, he was accepted and outfitted with a Providence-class destroyer as his new flagship with the condition that he would never usurp the navy as people suspected he would. Now with a more sophisticated navy, Heinous began to lay the framework for the Confederacy's ascension to a major power in the southern region of the galaxy.

Hey,your ship, you can't use it. The rules state that you can't have a personal ship over 600 meters and if you say that it is a faction ship there is another problem, the current size cap for ships is 2000 meters.

The rules do specifically limit ships to 2km, except specially approved ones.

Its in the factory rules. The ship has to be built by someone, and the rules limit what factions can actually build.

  • Minor factions are permitted unique, PC-captained ships up to a length of 1,000 meters. New Major factions are allowed mass-produced ships up to 1,000 meters in length. A faction development thread will allow the Major faction build up to the present cap of 2,000 meters.

I don't think the Factory Rules are applicable to unmodified canon capital ships.

That's a really cool name. Surprisingly cool, actually. "Admiral Heinous." It has a nice ring to it. It puts you in the mind of General Grievous, but it sounds better -- more villainous, especially, and that pic is pretty intimidating. The name certainly has a better ring than the Chiss Admiral I'm conceptualizing. Varg'are'csapla doesn't quite roll off the tongue like Heinous.

If you ever want to rp with a brash, amusing, hot-shot pilot, give me a ring-a-ding-ding.

Ciao.
