The countess always dresses with class and sophistication in mind, wearing fashionable outfits and flawless makeup. As she prefers to be a quiet presence, she tends to fade into the background at social gatherings, appearing quite enigmatic. In the comfort of her home she is often a bit dark and brooding.

BIOGRAPHY: WIP
Adelaide grew up in the noble house of Teraan with her family, spending most of her time with her twin brother, Andulf. The two were nearly inseparable, and had a close bond when they were children. Ada remembers her childhood as a happy time, up until the point where Andulf was sent away to a military boarding school. The lonely twin was then raised almost as if she were an only child, roaming the great halls of their family estate alone. Without the company of her brother, Adelaide became very withdrawn, and often suffered from bouts of depression.
The twin's father passed away due to health issues, and there were many talks about what would happen to House Teraan. Although Andulf was the first born of the twins, as he was away from the family, it was decided that Adelaide would marry and her husband would become the head of the house. Adelaide and Elijah Astor were wed when she was twenty six. The marriage had been arranged between the two families due to Elijah being the sole heir to the Astor family fortune, and for the opportunity for him to join a wealthy and noble house. When Elijah married Adelaide he chose to take her family name as his own. The two had been slowly getting to know and love each other when Elijah became very ill. Adelaide was very hesitant to accept Elijah at first, but she had realized a bit too late that they could have been happy together. Through the next two years Elijah continued to struggle with his health, but he lead the Teraan house the best he could. Although he was unable to attend any meetings of the high council for the last few months before his death, and left an empty seat for the House of Teraan.
After Elijah passed away, Adelaide was thrown into a world of darkness. As her mother had decided that Adelaide was far too young to become the next Dowager Countess, it was decided that she would assume the responsibilities of the house leader until either she re-married, or Andulf assumed the role.
Adelaide’s personal life is kept tightly under wraps, as she is a woman that enjoys solitude and privacy. She is a very accomplished painter and very passionate about all forms of artwork. The countess has an impressive collection of paintings and sculptures; many are on display at museums in New Aldera City.
