Adair Roche was born in Durace as a nobody. He was part of the Brotherhood of Maw fleet, sailing and ravaging across the Unknown Region, and later, the galaxy. When the Brotherhood of Maw collapsed, Adair and the fleet he was on refused to bow to any Mawite throne claimants, instead terrorizing the Unknown Region.
After Adair took over the fleet, he set his sights on Zakuul, believing that the remaining systems of the Unknown Region had left no spoils to feast on. Unknown to him, the forces in Zakuul has been heavily consolidated by the First Order, and the Dreadfleet faced heavy defeat.
However, the Supreme Leader saw potential in Adair, so he pardoned the pirate as long as he bent his knee and agreed to to fight for the First Order.
From that day on, the Dreadfleet was modernized and integrated into the First Order Naval Command, and Adair pledged his cause for the Military Junta.
