The ACS-303 Series is an update from the old CS/TX series made by Baktoid. The CS/TX series had been the CIS and later the ACA's primire model of droid fighter. Versatile, cheap, and they come in packs. The ACS-303 series works on the same basic principles with some basic Technological updates and weapon upgrades. They are semi-intelligent, similar to a Vulture droid in combat abilities, most effective in packs against fighters, nearly useless against capital ships due to their very light armament.
The ASC-303 Mk3, or Wasp-class Droid Bomber is simple, small, built to pack a punch to larger ships. It's fuel cells are small and compact, not allowing for long term flights or engagements without resupplying, only having about two hours of flight time, less when making the complex, high speed maneuvers in combat. Furthermore it lacks a hyperdrive, requiring them to be stationed on a planet or orbital station or be carried into combat by a carrier ship.
Its engines are second-rate, slower and less powerful, less maneuverable to conserve space of its defensive and offensive systems. For offense it features a pair of Light Repeating Cannons, with the same intention of filling space with as many bolts as possible. It also features a pair of Concussion Missile Launchers with full six missile magazines, and has space for one bomb to be bolted on to the undercarriage of the Droid Bomber. This allows packs of them to be useful against capital ships through bombing runs.
