Ack-Tu-Chal was born to a pair of Tiss’Sharl Assassins, Mr. and Mrs. Chal. Mr. and Mrs. Chal worked contractual work for the various companies on Tiss’sharl, finding work removing troublesome corporate rivals or high-level executives from rival corporations. They both established quite a name for themselves, but eventually their work put them at odds with each other. Two jilted lovers who’d had their spouses effectively removed from the living hired one of Ack-Tu-Chal’s parents to remove the other. After multiple failures they discovered their conundrum and realized that they were in too deep to deny their contracts.
Ack-Tu-Chal at this time was a sophomore in secondary education, and returned home after a day of schooling to find both of his parents sitting him down to confess to him their real jobs, that they were going to kill each other, they weren’t mad at each other, and they just wanted Ack-Tu-Chal to love whoever made it out.
It did not go over well. Ack-Tu-Chal left in a hiss, a close equivalent to the mammalian ‘huff’, and stayed with a friend for a couple of days. Ack-Tu-Chal expected to be called a few days later by his mother or his father but was instead called by a lawyer, informing him his father was dead. Roughly thirteen minutes later Ack-Tu-Chal was called by another lawyer, who informed him his mother was dead.
That did not go over well either. Ack-Tu-Chal, now an orphan, swore an oath that he would never get into any ‘blood business’, pick up a blaster, or love anyone again. Shortly afterward he discovered that his parents had left him a not-insignificant fortune, the large majority of which was dedicated to funding his primary education. It took Ack-Tu-Chal a little while to accept the money, but realized that despite his parents occupation they still want to, and ultimately did take care of him. Thus Ack-Tu-Chal was able to attend the prestigious Xefush Academy, where he learned the trade of finances, business management, and accounting. It was here he broke one of his three oaths, and learned to love again.
Ack-Tu-Chal then found employment at the First Bank of Tiss’sharl. He moved through the ranks quickly, eventually moving into the executive branch of the company. Along the way he married his college sweetheart, Ra-Ku-Fa, who laid the couple a pair of Tiss’shar eggs. The marriage was eventually stressed as Ack-Tu-Chal dedicated more and more of his time to his job, and less and less to his wife and his children. Eventually his work and home life collided, with a rival banking corporation hiring an assassin to send a message to Ack-Tu-Chal. His son was killed and the rest of his family left him, with his wife and daughter revile him for bringing pain and loss to their family.
Ack-Tu-Chal eventually lost it under this pressure, and left the company to “find himself.” After a lot of soul-searching he realized that while he was a banker in his heart, it still wasn’t worth him to lose his family the way he did. He found a job with an out of planet based bank, Tonith-Damask Incorporated, and was quickly recognized for his talent and executive experience. He was offered the position of Branch Manager, and after long negotiations accepted the position at a below-average salary in return for an extensive vacation package.
He has sent a letter to his old wife once a month, and gets to keep his daughter around every other weekend. He is attempting to bridge the gap, but his family is resisting every step of the way. Perhaps he will rebuild his life, but perhaps not. Time is the medicine that cures all wounds, but it’s also the poison that will kill us only. Ack-Tu-Chal hopes that Time takes care of the former before the latter.

- Combat Function: Ack-Tu-Chal’s go-to combat strategy is to call security. When that fails Ack-Tu-Chal is fond of running. If Ack-Tu-Chal is cornered he may slash out with claws, if he believes he has an opportunity. More likely though is that he’d attempt to bargain for his life, as Ack-Tu-Chal is more of a negotiator than a fighter.
