The man Zesiro had run into on Nubia had disappeared. Maybe she was a hopeless case and he had given up on trying to train her. Either way, yet another master was out gone. Right now she felt like just disappearing, but there was one person that would still miss her. Her sister Anya.

She knew her sister was with the Empire now. An Empire she had left. It had been a mistake on her part, but hopefully she wouldn't run into her former master while she visited Anya. The least she could do was tell her about Marcus and then disappear.

Her last mission with Empire had been when they gained Bothawui. It was here Anya could be found. Zesiro didn't know how she knew this, but listened to her intuition and flew there.

Since the Empire had moved in, they had gone about the reconstruction of what had been destroyed and brought the people into line. The planet below her now was similar to the planet that she remembered, but slightly different. Instead of organized chaos, there was true discipline. Smiling at the small part she had played in bringing this about, she flew her ship to where she knew she would find Anya.

Bothawui

Anya had been on the planet for about 3 months now, overseeing construction of her husband's and hers estate. Training the newly formed squires that had been picked up from the worst of places those that needed help the most and was given a chance.

Lately things had been simple since the last invasion, anya was training both herself and a host of people ranging from the nova troopers to the squires. She had just finished training her favorite a young female twilek sending her off when she felt something in the force told her someone she knew was arriving

Standing she started for the landing pad as she gave a smile, yes she knew that force signature approaching her, her own sister she hasn't seen in so long...

The last time she had seen Anya was at her wedding. After the reception was done, Zesiro had parted fondly with her sister with a vow to keep in touch and updated on things. She knew of the past relationship between Marcus and Anya so felt her sister should know of this development. On thinking, she didn't know Zesiro had met up again with him. Well, she would update her on both developments today.

Bringing her ship down, she climbed out to see her smiling sister already waiting for her. Returning the smile, Zesiro looked around to see if there was anybody else she knew nearby. There wasn't and she let out a relaxing sigh before greeting Anya.

"Anya, it is good to see you. You're blossoming like a flower. It appears your life is going well for you."

Giving her a hug, she stepped back with her hand on her shoulder.

"Can we go some place more private? I need to fill you in on a few details of what's happened to me since your wedding."

Indeed it was who she felt, her only blood family alive at all, she approached her as she huffed her and smiled. Every time she saw her something was different about the girl

and you as well my sister! Have you grown stronger I think you have!

She turned and waved for her to follow as she chuckled heading down the stairs of the landing pad as she galmcwd over curious why she needed to speak privately but nodded

of course, just follow me I have a private place for me and my guest I have

She led her down and through a court yard where a few of the squires were training with each other, she gave a nod for them to contiune as she led zes to a sitting room small but with enough seating for 10 and a table bug enough for them

so what is going on my sister?

Shaking her head slightly as she disagreed with Anya's statement on her getting stronger. Following her through the halls, she made the words to her reply and only really spoke again when they were in the small room.

"No, dear sister, while I may have picked up a few new skills, I am no stronger. I'm still just as poor as I was when we met."

This comment would lead into the real reason she visited. Not looking at the eyes of her sister, Zesiro looked at the ground. Taking a sigh to calm her slightly fluttering nerves, she looked up at Anya before speaking.

"Remember that man from the day we met on Nubia? I ran into him again and became his apprentice. He's disappeared."

Probably giving up on her being a lost cause. One not worth the effort of training.

She looked to her sister, this type of tone and talk was unlike her...given the times they've spoke, she also sensed something was wrong. She listened as she went dead silent a uneasy air filling the room as she put a hand in her mouth before speaking

you went to that man...after everything I told you...after I told you what he did to me...and now he's gone?

Shebdidbt know if she was mad at her sister for not heeding her warnings or relieved her sister her sister was actually in one piece. She closed her eyes taking a long, drawn out breath in then slowly out

you...sister you did something beyond stupid...you went to that man, that horrible man...to try and get stronger didn't you...what did you see hmm? That he could make you stronger? NO! To him a apprentice is but a pawn! A tool!

She raised her voice then stopped as she looked away then pulled her sisters close as tears fell down

by the force he coudlve killed you...then I wouldn't have a sister....

"Well, the run in was accidental actually, but he offered training."

The shock of her words and the actions she took really hit Anya hard. Zesiro only felt a little bad about what she had done, but not fully.

"Well, he disappeared. I think maybe I'm just a hopeless cause and he gave up on me. But he didn't kill, didn't even touch me, Anya! Yes, I wanted to get stronger and braver. I'm a coward and weak."

While Anya did try to calm down, she also stated quite vehemently something that sounded true. That Marcus saw his apprentices as pawns and tools.

"I agree sort of, he might have viewed them as such, but he would have provided training. That is what I was after, Anya."

Her sister hugged her close and cried on her shoulder. Wrapping her arms around Anya, Zesiro comforted her distressed sister.

She held her sister for a few minutes before she finally calmed still shaky as she pulled back and grabbed her face then her shoulders as she shook her head and seemed to stand taller

a coward and weak...yet you faced me head on , a girl with no care a blood lusted temptress of fire. You have potential, I see it I feel it

She said as she sighed and went silent for a minute as she let her go and turned away thinking then turned toward her yet again

You want power, you want to become braver? Fine, then I think it's time to show you a way I've been exploring...learning about...a balance within the force

She changed gears, her sister had a self confidence issue...one anya would fix, she moved forward placing a hand on her shoulder with a soft smile

I want you as a squire of house malvern...a squire I will train...best of the best we have around here those that have had hard loves like me and you

She let it sink in then spoke again

since he is gone now, you'll need a plave...and if you want you can stay here...plenty of room trust me

It felt like Anya wanted to shake some sense into her, but Zesiro allowed her sister to react the way she wanted to. She didn't resist any of it and then stood up when the minor assault was done. Worse had happened to her since they met so this really wasn't anything that would actually harm her.

"I faced you and then ran when that Jedi showed up. I was a coward and attempted to face one of my fears by meeting with Marcus."

That was the name given to her by the man and the only one she knew. Zesiro didn't know of anything else to call him. Anya said she felt Zesiro had potential, but at this point she herself didn't see it.

"It's not so much that I want power, but I want to be stronger, better and braver."

What Anya said next surprised and confused Zesiro slightly. Another question or thought came to mind and came out before she could stop it.

"Love made me weak, but you it made stronger. How? No, I wasn't in love with Marcus, this happened before we ever met."

[member="Zesiro"]

She looked away at her question as she rubbed her chin thinking before she gave a subtle nod to herself. Love she had used to her advantage ...those she loved she protected and would push herself to make sure they stayed safe..she put a hand on her face feeling the scars left there from saving adron...

there is letting love use you and you using love, I used love to push myself thinking...if I love this person or this thing in some way I can strive for the power needed to protect it...

Marcus...that name was something she barely knew of...she could only guess it was vengeance...such a normal name for a evil man...she looked to her sister ans sighed

zesiro my sister, to be all of that one must have a strong base...something you have but it is not a solid base...displine is what you need...you need order... balance within your life

She said calmly, as she placed a hand on her sisters shoulder she looked into her eyes

will you accept this? I want to give you order and peace and make you stronger, better, braver all of those...just say yes and I will make it so

Zesiro listened to the answer of her question and thought back on the situation. He had or was going to attempt to use her. The relationship had ended and she hadn't really thought on it much since. Since then her life had been a spiral down and nothing she had done was stopping it. Maybe this opportunity offered by her sister would change that.

"But it would be with the Empire. I'm not sure they would welcome me back..."

She looked away from Anya when she looked at her, not wanting to meet her eyes yet with her sister. Her other words were also true even if they hurt. Sometimes the truth needs to be firmly stated and not softened by trying to evade the point or use more diplomatic wording. Her sister was right.

"I have no base. My first master was a poor one and never taught me how to fight. About the only thing he taught me was how to use my body. That was when we met."

Now she looked back at Anya and met her eyes.

"What would I be doing?"

[member="Zesiro"]
She listened to her sister, yes she knew her words stung...she wasn't gonna sugar coat anything, no she wanted the truth to be revealed broken down and remade as she zes' vision was. Yes that was it, she would be the tool to shape zes up into a great warrior.

When are asked what she'd be doing she put her arms behind her back taking a step back she looked at her not with the eye of a sister but of a teacher

you'd serve your lady and Lord with unwavering loyalty and dedication, as a squire you'd be the one we'd call upon first with special matters. You'd be the first along side a special storm trooper guard to escort the Lord and me. To hold the position squire takes trust and a offer at a new....better life...as all on the overall have come from a hard place found by us and given a new chance

She looked at her finishing her words as she stood silent waiting for a answer

The question about it being within the Empire was left unanswered. Zesiro thought she knew what it would be but wasn't positive.

"If I do take up your offer, where would I be staying?"

She had never had what she would call a job and only ever relied on others to take care of her basic needs. While she could take care of herself, she didn't have the means to do it.

Looking around slightly, she could tell Anya was waiting on an answer.

"Okay..."

Meeting her sister's eyes, Zesiro smiled.

"You have a deal."

She listened as she gave a nod and smiled before hugging her tight then let go

you'll be where the other squires stay, it has all you need. Bed, desk, small closet, and a terminal for studying

She started leading her for the door and put simply walking at a slow pace as she looked over

you'll eat with them as well, now do know that not all are force sensitive...in fact there is not counting you now only two...but the others are just as effective

She kept walking waiting to see if she had any questions

The answer given was good and acceptable. It was was what she was already used to from her quarters with the First Order. She returned the hug Anya gave her and watched as her sister started to move out of the room. In saying she would eat and train with the other squires as well, she nodded. It would be quite similar to her previous time with the Empire.

"Um Anya, what happens when I meet up with other Imperials? I know it's going to happen."

Letting out a small gulp, Zesiro started to show the signs of her being a coward. One of the habits she needed to break within herself. She was tired of living in fear. After a few moments, she fell into step next to Anya as they walked down the hall together.

"Are you going to try and stuff me into some sort of ceremonial outfit?"

It was spoken with a touch of humor and Zesiro gave a small chuckle at the thought.

She glanced over and simply chuckled as she put her arms behind her back

hmmm what'll happen I wonder? I can't say for sure. But you are under us now they'll answer to us before you but should they come to you I wonder What you'll do

Did she answer directly or indirectly? A bit if bith anya would think, she didn't want to hold her sisters hand to try and break the habits she had but she didn't want to let her walk blind.

No no no hahaha, the squires wear something similar to the imperial cadets however I will require you to wear the house Malvern seal, this'll show that your a squire

Zesiro would have thought them to be under the Empire, answering to them and not the other way around. As long as it worked out though, she would be happy. As for what she would do, she didn't know. Time would tell what might happen.

"I'm sure any reunion would be fine..."

She stopped speaking and listened to what Anya had to say about clothing. Letting out a relieved sigh, she hoped to not have to wear anything special all the time. A simple patch would be fine.

"What does the outfit look like? I've seen what the imperials wear."

Her imagination was going wild and hoped there wasn't much color involved. That would just draw attention to her.

"What about a mask? I've been wearing one for a while now an learned a little more on how to be a sneaky assassin."

[member="Zesiro"]

She laughed as she looked back to zes, she couldn't imagine her in a cadet suit at all it simply wasn't her style. She spoke

if you've seen the cadet uniforms for the empire their just the same only difference is that the Malvern symbol replaces the empire symbol

Yea maybe she cpuld actually wasn't flashy and such simple really, she listened to her again and thought for a moment humming as she gave a smile and chuckled

it's part of you so you can keep it, though if your asked to remove it I would so so just to be respectful...and to be clear that's if I, adron, or someone higher then us says so

"Whew, good. I can handle wearing something like that. Not like the jester's outfit I had pictured in my mind."

Giving Anya a wink, she reached out to walk arm in arm with her sister. Zesiro didn't care what others thought about them doing this, but if Anya pulled away, she wouldn't take it personally. Her sister did have an image to maintain.

Nodding about the mask, she had gotten used to it. As Anya said, she had incorporated it into her persona.

"Well, of course I would remove it when somebody higher up asked me to."

sister we both know the empire has never been one for color the cadets outfits are simply gray hahaha so if you did your not worry

She laighed, she felt her arm be pulled a she looked over and smiled as she moved closer standing tall and proud, she cared not who saw. This was her sister her blood sister the only blood family she had alive. If anything it showed the bond that had been forged

agreed, now then how about a little training? I think it would be good to start noe get you going
