DESCRIPTION
Modeled after the fearsome self-aware battle droid that commissioned their design, the A4 Sentinel Droid is the first aerial combat droid to be manufactured by Hegemonic Automaton. Because of the limited financial standing of the commissioning party, the A4 is notably devoid of some features standard to Hegemonic Automaton models. Despite this, the mere fact that it is still a Hegemonic Automaton droid makes it a force to be reckoned with in the galaxy.
Although often called an aerial combat droid, the A4 was designed and programmed with versatility in mind. A4 units feature a unique brand of sophisticated programming allowing them to adjust to a multitude of tasks. This could mean anything from protocol or servant droid duties to a heavy weapons specialist in a special forces squad. The possibilities are endless.
In combat, the A4 is quick on its feet and highly mobile. It can utilize just about any weapon put into its hands (although it holds preference for BlasTech weapons), but also comes equipped with either a wrist blaster or a wrist rocket launcher. The A4 houses an advanced targeting system to enable it better accuracy even when utilizing its built-in jetpack, though its aim is far from as perfect as other Hegemonic Automaton droids. This is not to say the A4 is solely limited to range combat. It also comes equipped with an advanced unarmed combat protocol, but lacks any real skill in using melee weapons.
Aside from this, the A4 features the standard miscellaneous equipment. This includes a vocabulator, gyroscopic stabilizers for increased strength and stability, a sensorscope, a computer probe for interfacing with other systems and droids, and a general-purpose scanner to allow it to detect and analyze a variety of threats.
Finally, the A4 comes equipped with the Ultimatum Replacement Program. This equips each droid with Ultimatum’s own self-replicating AI, albeit to a lesser extent.
