Private A Unique Encounter

Hayden Umbra

Willow and Ivy were glad to be back on Nar Shaddaa. It was their home planet and one of two that their employer had them reside with him on. However as of late the twins were on loan of sorts, helping the Eternal Empire discover what had happened to their missing Emperor. It was a tragic story and one that took a bit of a toll on the twins with the extent of their abilities being tested. They learned a new skill, letting the Force guide them and help them. However it had drained them as well. So much so that it had knocked them out for two days.

Now they were home. And after spending a few days back inside of their massive suite, they decided to take their earned credits with them to one of Broka's public lounges. They were of course allowed one free drink a day, yet the two thought that they could buy themselves a sumptuous treat as well. And that meant a huge piece of a seventeen layer cake.

"It feels as though we've been away forever, yet nothing's changed."

"I know. Isn't it wonderful, Willow?" The twins didn't like change too much. More often than not, the change was often bad.

"I wonder if anyone's missed us." Willow scanned the other patrons of the lounge as the two took up their usual booth. They didn't slide into it like normal people. Instead their ever present guards moved the table out of their way enough to let them turn and sit, before sliding it back in place. The two guards then took up their positions on either side of the pair.

"Welcome back ladies. Shall I fetch your usual?" A pretty yellow skinned Twi'lek greeted them with a flashy grin.

"Hi Sasha. We'll have our usual, yes. As well as some of that delicious cake we had a while back. Do you remember? We saved up to have another piece."

"I'll tell you what, ladies. If you help me find my locket, I'll get you your cake for free."

Ivy looked to Willow with a slight frown on her face. They had just sat down and already they were asked to start working. But....the payment was cake. And a super duper delicious cake at that.

"It's a deal. But can we have the cake first please, Sasha? We're starving."

The Twi'lek laughed quietly and nodded. "Of course, ladies. We can't have you work on empty stomaches." She then turned and left the twins at their booth.

Already this was shaping up to be an eventful day.

Change was inevitable though, as stagnation was rarely a good thing. A new patron entered the lounge, and he did shift the mood. A tall and fit, handsome man in clothes made out of silks and cloths that cost more than what a decent bounty hunter earned for a decade around those parts that sent whispers about him being a core worlder on about some business with a hutt. He had an impressive and alluring look, but ultimately he was painfully average rich man. He had a simple self defense side arm, and by feel no force abilities detectable, no guards - overconfident fool that underrestimated the dangers of nar shadda drawing greedy eyes on him.

Internally Hayden revelled in the impressions he intended to make. If you created the negative stereotype that was simple and obvious, and acted bombastic, very few people would suspect that he hides much more. He would walk forward and wink at the twins before assuming a seat on the booth next to them, as he instantly ordered the best drink the waitress think they had the moment she approached in kind of dismissive tone as he would simply look around. He knew he was going to be easy prey to some local scammer. He just waited for that.

Hayden Umbra stood out like a sore thumb when he walked in. Willow giggled at how shiny his suit was and Ivy couldn't help herself but find it funny too.

Yet the man walked ever closer to them, while nearly every other patron either stared or whispered. His wink caught them by surprise and Willow responded with a small wave. Ivy was the more cautious one, however. Most people tried to blend in, yet this man chose to stick out. There was something fishy about that.

Willow took hold of Ivy's hand and tried to reassure her. "It's okay. We're home. Broka will keep us safe."

"Can I take a peek and see?"

"No! Remember our promise. No peeking." Willow spotted Sasha gathering their cake and drinks. "And besides, he doesn't look like one of them does he? He doesn't look like a doctor."

"No, you're right. He's too shiny." Or rather his suit was. Maybe he was just looking for a date? Ivy was very curious to find out.

The two young women almost instantly intrigued the man with their attention and likely the fact that they couldn't hide their presence in the force and his ability to feel it would interest him further as a catlike smirk appeared on his face as he did a very covert and subtle mind trick, it was a slight gesture of hand and a look that would cause the curiosity of the woman to amplify prompting her further to peel, in the mean time he caused a slight effect on the server, a weakness in the knee, causing her to lose balance forward and risk destroying the cake and drinks, but Hayden had predictably gotten up to both save the cake and stop the fall of Sasha, as he placed the cake and drinks on the table of the ladies.

"Clumsy, aren't we?"

He said to the woman with the same feline smirk as he turned to the ladies.

"Well, can the savior of the cake be gifted with the company of two charming young ladies?"

"Oh no!"

Both girls gasped as Sasha stumbled, nearly dropping their cake and drinks. Of course they were more worried about the cake than the drinks. Yet Hayden Umbra was right there to swoop in and save the day! Err...cakes.

A sigh of relief escaped their lips and they took hold of the items and slid them towards themselves. But they didn't dive into them just yet. Instead they glanced at eachother as Hayden lay on the charm, stifling giggles.

Willow grinned at him and did a bit of acting herself, with her nose held high as she gave graceful flourishes with her right hand. "But of course. And if the charming saviour is lucky, he may partake in some cake too as a reward for his quick reflexes."
