A Trip to Remember

When it raines, it pours.
As [member="Tyrell Caphey"] turned around to face her in the water, Samara moved her arms to drape around the man's neck. When he picked her up with his hands on her thighs, the Jedi wrapped her legs around the Ranger's trim waist. The passionate kiss left the Liann a bit breathless and of course the blonde's cheeks were left flushed.

"I could say the same about yours," Sam answered back as she gazed into his eyes; a soft smile growing on those recently kissed lips of hers. "Mhmm... It is paradise for sure. I am glad we are here to share it together. I mean, I couldn't imagine anyone else I'd rather be with."

It was a declaration of some kind... What kind exactly Samara wasn't quite sure of yet, but it did feel right - them.

A couple of sunny wonderful days later...

''Alright! Final steps to becoming a mermaid, and you're doing just great...'' he said as he sat opposite her, before planting a gentle kiss on her cheek.

Anchored by a reef south of the beach resort, the diving boat rocked slightly back and forth in the calm sea. The antarian ranger had civilian dive certifications and they had hired a boat and diving gear from the resort, he had taken Sam to an instructor earlier during the day who had taught her the basics of scuba diving.

''Remember the hand signals?'' he continued and repeated the signals for OK? OK. and low on air to just make a check on her. He didn't doubt that the golden hearted jedi had everything under control, but he did feel an immense responsibility for her. Of course he did, considering the last days development of things.

The warm waters of Spira and the fairly shallow depth the sunken ship were located on allowed them to dive in their swimming gear, just adding the necessary dive vest, tubes, masks and fins. Ty made the final adjustments to the vest, before reaching over and checking hers and her oxygen gauge.

''The most important things; deep relaxed breaths, and check this every now and then.'' he stated and helt the gauge in his hand to point out the importancy. Maybe the otherwise so calm and collected ranger came out as more anxious than she were, but what would you expect from one that cared so much for you.

The last couple of days with [member="Tyrell Caphey"] had been fantastic. They just seemed to jive on all levels. It helped that the two were away from their respective positions with the Silver Jedi Order and could just be themselves...

When Samara was amongst the other Jedi, the healer tried to present herself in a very professional sense. She tended to be an introvert so the Liann didn't put herself out there like some did in their Force community. But now, the Antarian Ranger was starting to bring the real Sam to the surface, and she was getting to know this woman just like he was. It was both enlightening and scary at the same time.... The Jedi Knight didn't know that she had such wants, needs, and desires to which the Tarisian was fulfilling in a patient and gentle fashion.

"Why thank you, Mr. Aquaman... Your mermaid is feeling quite ready for another adventure," the blonde beamed at Tyrell; blue-green orbs twinkling joyfully as the couple made the last checks before beginning their scuba dive together... a master and an apprentice. That thought made Sam giggle to herself. It was that way in more ways than one.

"I do, and I will, Ty" she nodded back confidently with a smile on her face that had hardly faded since the night before. "Let's do this, hmm?"

Samara moved over to the diving platform flippers and all, pulled down her goggles and put the breathing apparatus into her mouth. She took a couple of experimental breaths before giving Tyrell an enthusiastic thumbs up.

''I won't let my eyes off you, my apprentice...'' he said with a warm smirk and nodded at her before standing.

They both moved over to the platform, reversing when the diving fins were doing it rather difficult to walk forward. The ranger held a discreet hand ready behind Sam, to catch her if she slipped. A couple of months ago, back at the Silver Rest, he had been introduced by her to the art of lightsaber wielding. A very short introduction and just for fun, but still. It were in the beginning of their close friendship and now, one could say that the roles had been switched. It had been a good while since then, and what more they had naturally and with time got a lot closer to each other. The Liann jedi healer and the tarisian ranger medic had grown what could not be described as anything less than mutual affection.

The calm waves clucked gently against the boats white hull as they turned around and positioned themselves near the edge of the diving platform. He put up the diving mask in place and took the breathing apparatus into the mouth, taking one and two deep breaths before looking over at Sam and signed an OK?.

When Sam gave an OK back, it was time to take the single step out over the edge and into the azure blue water of Spira. With a splash and into another world, in which they only could hear their own breaths and the sound of the bubbles rising to the surface, made by the breathing apparatus.

The air was warm and the water refreshing as the couple made their way into the ocean blue water. It took only a moment to get herself reorientated before swimming deeper into the depths along side the Tarisan.

The sea was buzzing with life signatures within the Force as the reef was visible with hundreds of fish and other sea creatures in an assortment of rainbow colors as they floated about the coral bed.

Blue-green orbs looked through the clear face mask lens at [member="Tyrell Caphey"]. Samara's eyes flashed him a bright and happy gaze. If she could have the Jedi would have smiled at her boyfriend, but with the mouth piece in the Liann dare not. She reached out instead and grabbed the Ranger's hand with hers and gave it a loving squeeze with a joyful nod of her golden head as the long strands floated outward like a halo.

Yeah, Samara said boyfriend... Another first with more to come she was sure of.

The warm and crystal clear waters of Spira welcomed the master and the apprentice diver with open arms. He cracked a smile inside as he looked over at Sam to see how she did, this first time experience for the Liann were clearly appreciated and enjoyed. Watching her movements she appeared to instantly get a hang of it, slow and easy kicks and good buoyancy control. It took a few kicks for himself to get into it again as being a little rusty since last time he performed a dive.

He felt her hand gently grab onto his as they decended towards the reef. As always, it was soft and smooth to the touch. Holding hands had recently begun to send stronger feelings up the the Lianns and Tarisians arms and into their hearts. He loved it. Sharing the days with her. Seeing those lips smile and those sea green eyes glisten. Hearing her voice saying good morning. Yeah, he loved every bit of her. This journey would certainly be decisive for their future, and as it looked, in way he could not have imagined a year ago.

He led Sam down the decent and kept an eye on her depressurizing. The jedi seemed to have full control. He signed an OK? to her as they closed in on the exotic underwater flora and fauna. The fishes and sea creatures did not seem particulary disturbed by them both, just evading them as they swam by.

Her fingers made the OK sign back to Tryell, then Samara continued to swim along side the Ranger as they got closer to the living coral reef. It wasn't too hard to glide smoothly through the water if one just used a continuous motion and breathed evenly. There was a small part of her that was fighting the claustrophobia of the mask and breathing apparatus, but drawing upon the Force to calm herself helped.

The fish and sea creatures didn't seem to mind their presence too much. Perhaps they were used to visitors from above being this was a tourist area. The Jedi didn't sense any danger from them and she made sure to push their Force aura out as a friendly one.

As the two paused to take in the underwater reef, the Liann took out her waterproof camera and snapped a few holos of Ty swimming amongst the colorful fishes that lived in and around the coral... It was priceless. Definitely a moment to remember. So wondrous and they were a part of the natural beauty few got to experience. Sam was so glad she let the Tarisian talk her into the dive, and it was something the master and apprentice could tackle together. Another first...

Silverfishes and other native marine creatures swam by with some more curious than others and came within pet distance. At first, he did not notice Sam's little photoshoot of him, quite impressed and too busy gazing over the exotic chorals of Spira. When he did notice, he would have had a big smirk on his lips if it was not for the breathing apparatus. He swam up beside her, acting casual. Maybe would Sam feel that something sly was going on, but she would not be fast enough before he playfully pinched her lightly in her side. He turned around behind her and came up facing the same way as her to continue their exploration, keeping an eye on the oxygen meters to know when it was time to ascend to the surface. It was quite difficult to do right now, submerged in water and all, but the feeling to express his love for the jedi healer grew stronger every hour they spent together...

Later that evening. After a fresh water shower, and one or two kisses...

The main boulevard which stretched through Ataria City, was lit up by decorative street lamps that laid a warm white glow over the tourists that strolled down it and every now and then slipped into a local vendor or restaurant. The sun had begun to set and he gently squeezed Sam's hand as they were looking for some wine and dine. He was casually yet stylishly clad in a light blue shirt, dark trousers and white sneakers. The street was not overly crowded, many already had found a seat in one of the many open-air restaurants.

''So, gorgeous... What does your tastebuds tell you?'' he asked as he examined a menue in mid-stroll.

It had been great day with [member="Tyrell Caphey"]! The scuba diving on the coral reefs and eventually on a shallow ship wreak was so much fun especially with the Tarisian showing her the way. The Jedi loved it.

And... of course the after adventure as they got ready for their casual evening out on the town was even better. Samara didn't know if she'd ever want to go back now after being spoiled by her ranger beyond imagine time and time again. But, she all knew too well duty would call them apart and this special time spent together would have to be banked to keep them fulfilled with wonderful memories and hope of expanding upon them in the future. That was something the healer definitely was looking forward too.

They had taken the monorail from the beach resort the two were staying at on the Southwest coast to the main city located on the Northeastern point of Ataria Island. The city of Ataria was quant yet upscale and built along a crescent-shaped harbor. It was of course a thriving tourist location with shopping, dining, and entertainment. Luckily, it was seemingly off season so not as crowded like when the planet's famous Regatta was in full swing.

Hand in hand the couple strolled easily down the Main Street that hugged the shore line taking in the tropical local and offerings. Samara dressed in a mini sundress tilted her golden head up at Tyrell as he squeezed her hand. She flashed him a sweet smile, "Sure is... It's definitely paradise here," then her green-blue gaze went to the menu being held for a quick glance.

"I think a juicy steak would be good," the blonde grinned softly, then added with a twinkle in her eyes."We used up a lot of energy with the dive and all... What about you, hmm?"

To Sam's playful comment about what they had used up their energy on, Ty chuckled lightly and smiled as he continued to examine the menue. What would they be if not a couple now? Even if they had not talked serious about it yet. Their relation to one another moved forward by itself, but sooner or later they would have to think about what to say to people if they asked. Sure, his squad and commander Calderon already had an opinion on that.

He nodded in approval of the menue, many locally produced dishes and with the steak Sam wanted to enjoy. A good mix with some vegetarian alternatives and some seafood.

A human waiter in white shirt and black trousers approached them without being too intrusive.

''Welcome to Opus! If you see something you like, I've got a table for two ready at our outdoor area...'' he said in a polite manner and motioned for the table further in.

Perfect! Ty gave Sam a glance, looking for what she thought of the offer.

Samara smiled softly as [member="Tyrell Caphey"] peered over to her for approval or not on the choice of restaurant. She nodded an enthusiastic yes, then looked back to the waiter to give their answer.

"We'll take it, thank you," the blonde answered politely, then the couple followed the man through the sea of tables to theirs on the outside patio. The atmosphere was perfect for a casual yet romantic dinner.

After being seated, the waiter asked if he could start them off with drinks and/or an appetizer perhaps before making their dinner selection. The Jedi quickly perused the drink menu already on the table. "I'll have a glass of your house Riesling, and as for an appetizer I'll let my date decide on that," she replied with her sea green gaze flicking over to the Tarisian with sweet intent etched on her face.

As the couple was seated opposite each other, Ty grabbed the second drinks menu. He did not have to browse it for long til Sam found her sort of drink to start the night with.

She seemed to know very well what she liked out of the quite fancy assortment of drinks. This long into his service in the Antarian Rangers and his station at the Silver Rest, he could definately understand that she and the others were accustomed to fine dining, at least more delicate than what he had grown up to on Taris. He did not mind, though! The life of a ranger were naturally more different than a jedis. He was certainly satisfied with that but could not deny the pleasure of sharing moments like these with the honey-blonde Liann.

''I'll take the same...'' he followed up on Sam before throwing a glance down on the appetizers on the main menu.

''As for the starters... We'll go with... The local lobster?'' he continued and looked on how the idea fell with Sam. The waiter also awaited the ladys affirmation of the choice. After all, the seafood they had tasted back at the hotel had been amazing and the planet were known for it. The riesling would also go well with it, after what he had read in a magazine at the hotel.
