Julian Valentine
"I don't come cheap."
Under a hail of blaster fire, Dominik fell back. Julian rushed forward to see his body slap against the pavement below. He watched him for a moment, the authorities closing in as he committed to a surrender. They could deal with him now, Julian had to make a mad dash. He activated his beacon. He turned on his heel and activated his jetpack, sending forth a short burst of flame that projected him from one building to another, repeating the process as he closed in on the spaceport.
This chapter of life was almost done, he thought to himself, thank goodness. The night was crawling forward, stars began to appear in the darkened sky above, twinkling and whispering. It had been a long and successful day, and he couldn't deny his opponents finesse. He had served nobly in his duty, but you couldn't win every day. Julian knew that best.
He was closing in on the spaceport, it's domed surface was spotted by circular quays where ships waited in docking. His jetpack burst to life again, launching him over the dome and into one of the quays. He landed with a stumble and a stagger, trying to regain his breath. The quay was empty, it had been evacuated when the shootout had started just a street over.
He looked up into the night. The stars were numberless, but one in question was getting brighter. It was rather two stars, brighter and brighter it got, until the light illuminated Julian like a bright sun. He heard engines, and a shuttle came to land. It's lights flickered and vanished, and the rear ramp began to lower. Julian approached the shuttle and entered. "This is Solo," Julian said through the intercom to Ghorua, it would blast throughout the ships speakers, "Bodyguard has been eliminated. I'll be arriving shortly."
