A talk between Jedi.

Ellain's eyes followed the fall of the water as she practiced with her innate form shifting ability. Due to her mixed heritage Ellain worked on her the few transformations she could attain regularly, it was something to do when she was alone as she did it quite a large amount if time. Hybrids were normally even less respected than completely different aliens, so that attributed to her separation from others and focus on staying far away.

So while she sat here here, her robes around her and eyes focused on the falling water, a pair of wings stretched out from her back, catching the wind in them but leaving her on the ground.

It was a long time since the last time Maria had just watched the nature around her. But every now and then one had to do that, or if not everybody, then maybe just her. Tython being one of her most visited Jedi structures, was the best place for that, and she had once noticed an interesting waterfall during her visits. That day she needed to go and just look at it and just... think her own thoughts, secluded from other people. It was something she needed ever since the fall of Arx Mortis, because she had had lots of time during the castle time to look around her.

Becoming a Jedi was a really great change, it made her life a lot busier.

And she hated it sometimes. But that was really one of the very little problems she had with the Jedi. Otherwise being one was fun and... felt really good. Though she couldn't get rid of the darkness inside her for a while, she thought of herself as a Jedi and she really loved the Light Side of the Force.

Wearing her maroon Jedi Robe which was a bit dirty and crinkly because of training, she walked around the waterfall, looking at the water which came down, and thinking of her life. It was good to do that sometimes. But then she noticed a person only a bit away from her, also looking at the fall. She thought, why not give it a try, and walked to her.

"Hi!" she said with a friendly tone, smiling at the woman.

Ellain's wings stiffened at the sound of a voice and, even though she wanted to return them to her body she couldn't out of shock that someone had seen them. Slowly standing her eyes turned to look at the woman as she waved, in her own light robes with the wings still very clear, silvered feathers on them. "Err hi, look i know that what you see is a bit weird, so if you dont mind i would as you not pester me about the wings, i know they are different..." She seemed as if to expect Maria to comment and find her wings, however temporary, something to make fun of as she stood there, folding them close to her body.

Maria's friendly face turned a bit plain, but that was not a bad thing or meant to be rude in any way. She was just looking at the other woman as she spoke. She didn't quite understand her talk, that's why. What was wrong with wings? Why did the woman worry? After a few moments, her left eyebrow raised in confusion, but she quickly lowered it again before walking to the woman and sitting down near her.

"I'm Maria," she said with a smile on her lips again as she looked at the person she had just met.

Ellain blinked and for a moment she was confused but the confusion left her just as quickly. "Hello, im Ellain, any reason you came here?" She relaxed a bit as no comments came about her and soon things would be all to quiet as she didn't continue her speech, only doing so once she came up with a question a few seconds later. "Are you a jedi master or?" She glanced over at the Jedi, still bad when it came to... well just about anything force wise."

"I just wanted to appreciate the beauty of this planet and take some time to think of everything which has been up in the air lately," she answered with a thoughtful voice. After that, it was silence for a while. Both of them probably just admired the view of the waterfall or something. At least Maria did so during the time. So much had been going on and it was a surprise that Maria hadn't taken time off yet. As the Witch of Arx Mortis, she did that a lot, even though she had had less stuff to handle. Now as a Jedi she was a lot busier. Yet she wasn't as depressed.

Maybe the Dark had had stressing effects?
"No, I'm only a mere Padawan," she spoke after the silence was broken by Ellain. "You?"

"Oh? Im just a padawan, and a rash one too... im not very good with the force, i mean i know i have it i just cant get it right.." She frowned as she thought on the fact of being unable to use the force like others, she knew it was there and she knew she should be able to, she just couldn't for some reason. She wished it was easier but if it was it would probably be not as simple as she wanted.

"That is sad..." Maria said with empathy. "I can use the Force, but I have other weaknesses... My story is far greater than an average Jedi's and I am guessing most members of the Jedi Order some kind of... don't have any faith in me, I guess." She looked down and sighed. "It is a long story and a personal one."

She then looked at the other woman. "But have you got any idea of why you can't use it? Maybe a past incident has blocked it?"

"Well no i can't figure it out... i mean it should be easy right... I just need to figure out what im doing wrong because my master taught me how to understand it, but i just cant figure out why i have such a problem using it. As there being a past event, no. I just never persued teachings until recently."

"Hmm, I don't know if I can help, then," Maria spoke. She would have wanted to help, but it seemed a bit impossible. She herself was only a Padawan and had only recently joined the Jedi Order, she didn't know much of anything yet. Of course she had knowledge of the Dark side. But she couldn't use that here, could she? The inability to do something for the wellbeing of others seemed to be one of the most disturbing things for Maria, at least during the recent times.

"Some people have really low midichlorian amount and that's why some are sensitive to the Force, but can't use it. On the other hand, some people are just having so much power but can't unlock it. These are two other reasons I've heard of that might cause something like that. Might one of them be true in this case?

"Maybe... how about you, do you find the force easy to control or do you have difficulty too?" She looked at the woman now with a slight curiosity that showed her interest in the woman. She was unsure what to take of her but she had to know quite a bit from what Ellain had gathered from her so far so perhaps she was more than just a simple padawan like she said she was. It wasn't all too important but she wanted to know which if either.

"Well, there are three main types of Force powers: Control, Alter, and Sense. Control powers are easy, they seem to be the most basic ones, at least to me. Because I've heard Younglings start with them and everything. Then there is Sense, which is my favourite. I use it with relative ease. I don't know, maybe I was meant to be good at that... But Alter powers, on the other hand... I don't even know how did I manage to learn the most basic ones of them. I mean, Telekinesis and everything like that aren't for me," Maria spoke, getting into the topic, more and more with every word spoken.

"I guess I wasn't supposed to be able to use them like others..."

"I guess im just as bad them, cant even get one down right much less all of them. All i got at the moment is a keen eye and a hereditary ability... which you have seen already upon coming over here..." She motioned with her head to the wings that hung tight to her body, them having stayed out through the whole conversation. "I mean they are cool and allow me to fly and all but i would trade them for the ability to use the force if i could, its not so simple that i find it a pain.

"I think I understand you. I, however, would love to have the ability to fly. I think it is also a bit of a curse to be Force-sensitive and it would be easier to just... fly away. Like a butterfly. A free butterfly," Maria spoke, her voice and mind thoughtful and distant somehow, like he would have been kind of autistic. But she wasnt, she was just governed by the thoughts of the butterflies of freedom. She had quite the opposite feeling than the other woman here had.

Oh what she would have given to be free.
Free of the Force-sensitivity.
And free of being wanted.

"Well, if you want i can try to show you what it feels like... what i mean is i can try and fly with you holding on, never tried it and i would love to share the feeling with you for being so nice to me." She smiled at the woman, a wide, soft, and kind smile that she held in her and tried to get out as she sat there.
