A Tale For Tea (Lady Kay + Theseus Reneun)

Theseus shrugged his shoulders. "I've spent quite awhile accustomed to things being incompleted. I am sure in time. Things will be ammended." Theseus noted that in reply. While he glanced back at the table. Reaching a hand out and catching his sabers in his left hand. Then slipped them up each of his respective sleeves. Sheathing them there now. Seeing no reason to attach them to his belt again. He had served his purpose with why he originally placed them there.

Theseus looked along the hallways. While his old friend guided him to where he would be staying. He looked forward to meeting with this head of security. Getting started on the training of the recruits and the installation of new defenses. In fact Theseus would probably begin with what they once had, currently has, and what he could offer in terms of ensuring another succesful attack was not so easily achieved.

"So, how have you been fairing?" Theseus inquired to [member="Lady Kay"] now that they had moved past why he was here.

Kay nodded to [member="Theseus Reneun"] in agreement. "Yes, in time all will be well again." Much to the delight of her staff.

She led him down the hallway towards the eastern wing and up a flight of steps, her hands clasped in front of her while she walked. "Better. It took a little while for me to get used to having my freedom again; to be able to speak freely and without worry.
And now that my duties have been lessened, that gives me more time for..." Well, it should mean more time with her family. But they were all elsewhere in the Galaxy on their own paths. Neither of her children were ready to take her place. So whatever she chose to do, she had to be careful. "...other things.
Such as refocusing on the slave market. We've been offered funding and resources from other governments. I'm just waiting on more intel first before I start planning."

Theseus followed her up the flight of stairs and listened. "I see. Well I am sure finding funding for the projects is not the worse task you've had to complete. Some worlds are surely empathetic enough for your cause. To at least consider offering resources. Even if it is under the counter. Should they wish not to be traced back as a supplier." He expressed while he studied the walls of the building.

Theseus turned back to [member="Lady Kay"]. "What other tasks have you set for near future goals?" He inquired curiously. Wanting to have an idea of most of the projects her alliance sought to achieve.

Kay nodded. "That's why they choose to work through us.
I used to be known for my attempts to end slavery. It'd be the perfect cover for them." And that was something that she didn't mind. She enjoyed the slave rescues. Even if she wasn't successful, there was always something to gain from them. And the people that she freed were always quite thankful for it.

She tilted her head to the side a bit as [member="Theseus Reneun"] inquired about her future goals. "Perhaps in time our Alliance will reform.
Until then we will work on gaining and rebuilding contracts to help keep our economy flourish. And as I had said earlier, our fleets are being rebuilt. They'll watch over us."

Whether or not they had any tensions with other governments, she wasn't certain. The First Order would be one for herself and [member="Veiere Arenais"] to make contact with. Little did they know that their daughter [member="Loreena Arenais"] was already there covertly.

Soon they were at Theseus' room. Kay stopped and opened the door, then stepped aside to let him in. "Here you are." The room wasn't too fancy, but not sparsely furnished either. It had a sitting room, bedroom and bathroom.

Theseus studied the room. "It is a very welcoming environment. I greatly appreciate the room, and hope my services can more than pay for my rent here." Theseus expressed. While he bowed a bit to his friend. He walked over to the bed and observed it. Before he sought out a desk for his meditation stones and set down his bag of gear. Keeping his lightsabers on hand howver. "What time tomorrow would you like for me to begin meeting people, and getting settled into ky new role within the palace?" Theseus looked to [member="Lady Kay"]. He was eager to begin of course. Though if it was oftly early in the morning, or a bit later in case some people were slower risers. Theseus wanted to have a rough idea the scheduling of such activities.

Theseus finally got settled enough he removed his lightsabers. Standing and listening to his friend. In case she had more to discuss with him. Before he retired to begin his first day as a trainer, and defense advisor. Speaking of which he noted. "Aside from your head of security. Who do I reach out for regarding your technology designers?" He inquired curiously. "As well as record keepers." He concluded. When a good moment presented itself for him to add those questions in.

"I can imagine that Einon would probably be here around 0800. He's an early riser." He wasn't a night owl. Unless duty called for it, of course. But most of the action took place during the day.

Kay watched [member="Theseus Reneun"] as he settled himself in and unpacked. At least he seemed pleaased with the room. She prefered her employees to feel comfortable.

To his other questions she raised a brow. "What kind of tech designers? And what do you mean by record keepers? The security feeds and visitor lists to the Palace?"

"Visitor lists, holo-records, security feed. Anyone who might hold records prior to and during the original construction of the palace. Architectual designs. Personel records. I assure you. I am merely wanting the data. So, I can more efficiently preceed with my duties of creating a safer palace. As for technology designers. Any and all whom you would recommend. I would prefer individuals with the ability to assist me with infrastructure, security, and weapon designs." He expressed to [member="Lady Kay"].

"I know it is quite a lot. Though I take my work seriously. If you wish for security improvements. I will need to analyze every aspect. Of the systems you had running before. The systems currently operational. Begin scouring loopholes, and vulnerabilities. Identify the strengths. Begin closing the gaps. I do not intend to make this place a military fortress I assure you. The funding for that would be atrocious, and would send the wrong messages. Considering what your goals are. Though I can make sure people will think twice before turning their heads as seeing this place a potential target." Theseus expressed to her. While he sat on the bed and watched her.

"As for training the recruits. As soon as your head of security meets with me in the morning. I will begin getting to work shaping them up into a respectable set of personel. Would you also like me to train a specialist unit to escort you and your partner, or work on keeping you safe from the shadows?" Theseus inquired. Part of this sense of duty. Stemmed from Theseus using this project as a crutch for his uncertainty regarding his life. Though part of it stemmed from. He wasn't the sort to slack on a job. Not one which was generously giving, and especially not when it concerned the safety of an ally.

[member="Theseus Reneun"] didn't have a short list of things that he wanted to look at. Kay shifted on her feet. "This Palace was constructed hundreds of years ago.
Any information on that would be in the University library and in the Archives.The visitor logs and holovids can be found in the security office. As for what made us fall during the seige, that lays in the hands of a friend that I had once trusted. He let the enemy in through the shields." That was something that she'd never forgive.

She reclasped her hands behind her. "Any specialist unit would probably better be served working in the shadows. And Veiere, if that is the partner you are referring to, he requires none. He doesn't stay here as often as I do and is more than capable of looking after himself." Most of his captures had taken place during battle. The last thing that he would want would be to be followed around.

Theseus listened intently towards the instructions of [member="Lady Kay"]. As well as her recommendations for how to gather the information he sought. While he looked towards his lightsabers. When Kay mentioned a betrayal. In fact it wasn't probably the first time she noted it. Nor would he suppose it would be the last time she noted it. Though Theseus was not the sort to cause a betrayal. He could understand the guard that might be set up do to such a happening.

"Very well. I will look into those records. In the relatively near future. Unless unforeseen occurences happen. I will be prioritizing the training of recruits." Theseus expressed to his friend. Then yawned softly. "With all do respect. Perhaps it is time to end this discussion for the evening? Unless you have other matters to address. It is going to be quite an adjustment period, and I am sure we could both use some rest. Before any more chaos ensues." Theseus spoke softly in his final request.

Kay shook her head. "I've got nothing else pressing. I'll let you get settled in and rest for the night." She then bowed her head to [member="Theseus Reneun"] before turning to leave his quarters.

On her way back down the hallway, she hoped that this would be a position that he could hold. But as always, anyone that took up the job of her personal assistant or personal bodyguard or even Head of Security would disappear. So she had learned to not keep her hopes up.

The Galaxy was full of opportunities. Commenor was merely just a stepping stone.

Theseus bowed to [member="Lady Kay"]. "I shall be up at a relatively early time. To be ready to meet with your head of security." Theseus replied and smiled warmly. Laying on the bed and twiddling his thumbs. He was also unaware of the nearing apprentice he would be receiving. The one thing Theseus was firm about. Was for at least the time being. He was sure he was in the right place.

Theseus closed his eyes. Letting his mind settle as best as it could. While it adjusted to the fact it had a lot to look forwards to. In time Theseus would extend what he helped with in the Commenor alliance. As he became more trusted and grounded. Both clearly to himself and his superiors. He did still have goals and aspirations which he felt like pursuing.
