A Spice Journey, The Beginning! (PM if you want in).

Scene
A three walled fortress stands alone on the surface of Kessel. each wall spanned about 50 meters, and stood 8 meters tall. The winds flick up the dust and particles as small gust blow against the walls. Each wall is connected to a 10 meter tower that is topped with E-Web turrets. From inside the fortess the sound of pick against rock echo out from the mines. From the Glitterstim the sound of the occasional scream rang out as a miner encountered a deadly energy spider.
A variaty of sentry's topped the walls and armed the turrets keeping an eye out for anykind of enemy. Inside the fotress sat a small command center aswell as a small barracks. The fortress was surrouneded by hills and depressions in the ground, one of the downfalls of its postion, giving ample hiding spots for approaching forces.
NPC
Captain 'Thumper' was seated in his small office inside the command center. His face was littered with scars and cuts, his nose seemed like it had been broked more times the he could count on his hands and his hairline was receeding faster than a would take a wookie to finished a three course meal. The captain was more at home shooting and back stabbing innocents, but ever since he had captured the mine he was working on getting buyers of the spice. Slowly he shook his head as he over looked the datapads. "How am I even suppose to find someone who wants to buy this stuff!" He shouted as he threw a glass towards the nearest wall, the glass smashing into pieces.

Cadan was waiting a few clicks from the fortess, he had with him a small group of about 10 soldiers, each armed with the Tazi Defender Armour. Cadan stood in front of the group in his usual attire, his helmet dangling from his robotic right arm, revealing the terrible battle scars from an explosion that had scarred the whole right side of his face drawing the skin in tight. His trench coat blew in the wind, as a small gust blew by.

"Tell ya boys what, when we gets the fort, Twi'lek's are on me!" Cadan shouted excitdly as he pulled out his gauss rifle and waved it in the arm. Cadan passed back and fourth, he was eager to get the assult of the fortress going. Once he had the fort he and Sareen would finally be able to start their own little enterprise. He now stood waiting to hear from the others.

"Just don't die and i will be happy Cadan, I'm two clicks from the tower" Mythos said through the earcom while literally buried in sand on top of a mountain while looking through an impressive piece of technology. A prototype developed by Mythos and the Jar'Kai alongside LOOM and mustafarian technology, a single monocular no larger than a lightsaber hilt able to see clearly up to ten miles and identify threats, asses density of most structures and even track heartbeats and rate threats by hostility. Mythos called it: The Electric Eye.

He sent out drones, scout drones with no weapons and outdated by all senses of the word. They were drones salvaged and purposed that were once used in the galactic rebellion. The data sent back by the drones was uploaded into The Eye in real time and thus gave Mythos a full three sixty view of the compound. Wind was blowing intensely, making sniperfire operations difficult and less rewarding than an assault. "Ok listen up boys, we have about sixty two bogies that are visible to me, add twenty or so more that i can't and we have almost a hundred armed soldiers inside that compound... We will take the towers as discussed then turn the machine gun nests against them... that's when you hit the walls and go ballistic..."

A few hand signals and Mythos as well as the handful of men he brought with him moved like wraiths in the sands. Heads low, moving slowly and steady in two mans teams each heading for a guard tower. Lee was with Mythos, his captain and a master of the dark side of the force... he was also very annoyed that they picked a sand planet, Lee hated the sand.

"Why can't we ever invade or attack a nice place? It's always a hellhole..." Lee said sourly, sand digging into his face but his goggles kept his eyes safe. Mythos chuckled under his breath, mouth covered by a heavy leather headscarf and a HUD over his eyes. "Well think of this way Lee... the sooner we kill these scum the sooner we can go back to a nice place like Midvinter"

Lee groaned, the only thing he hated more than sand was snow. Shaking his head he followed his emperor towards battle once again, this time with a very different goal in mind...

Herr Vamderhing heard of a raid of a fortress with a lot of spice from one of his informants. Vanderhing saw opportunity in this. Though he wasn't planning on helping these raiders, he was going to let them do all the work and he would take the spice from them by force soon after. He was opportunistic like that. So he gathered some thugs and battle droids so he could ambush them.

Olympus stood behind his commander, Herr Vanderhing. It had its arms folded behind its back, looking over the thugs and droids brought for their mission.
"Are you sure that this will be enough, sir? According to certain sources, these brigands are not easy." Olympus queried. While they had a number advantage, it knew from personal experience that numbers do not always equal success. Of course, being a droid, it was arrogant as well. Olympus thought they had a good chance with their current troops, but was not one that gambled with risks.

Vanderhing chuckled and said
"Please Olympus, they are a small cobbled together band of hooligans and their numbers will shrink one by one as soon as they reach the fortress! We have 15 battle droids and 10 thugs all armed to the teeth, we'll be fine! All we have to do is ambush these poor fools and the spice is ours!... Well mine."

Vanderhing tried to reassure the droid then Genf Orkay spoke up

"Sir, I agree with Olympus we should have brought more troops... These guys are professionals..."

Vanderhing cut Genf off and said while looking through old Clone Wars era binoculars

"Oh not you too Genf! Listen, we'll be fine! You and Olympus worry too much, they won't stand a chance against us!"

Cadan stood there checking the time fly by still no sight of Sareen. Maybe he got held up or he was still mustering his force? It didn't matter, they would begin the march towards the fortress now. Cadan spun on his heels, and turned to his small force in front of him.

"Alright lads, you know the plan. Take the towers then blows these fleckers a new one!" Cadan whacked his chest a few times before he began a small jog towards the fortress.

Movin' on the fort now Mythos, if I get there first I get to 'ave the first Twi'lek we see!" Cadan said over the comms. By now they were abour about 1.5 clicks away and the fortress walls were kust becoming visable from all the dips and rises in the dunes. A wolfish grin began to spread over Cadan's face. This was going to be a good place to have.

Mythos camouflaged himself and his men with the sands, moving forward only when the wind blew in the direction of the fort. Lightsabers in hand and rifles at the back Mythos got lucky when a huge gust of sand covered a whole kilometer. He had about ten seconds. His men gave each other the signal after him, through the wrist communicators a single vibration to signal the attack. His men moved with the dark side of the force aiding their movements, meanwhile Mythos pulled his bow and aimed to the top of the tower he and Lee were under, a carbon fiber wire shooting behind the arrow protruding from his belt at an amazing speed and Mythos was blasting upwards next to Lee slightly behind. Lee climbing the tower by running vertically using force speed to aid his movements, the guards at the top of the tower saw a blur of sands first, and when it was gone their eyes were met by Lee and Mythos at both sides of the tower almost by act of magic. Mythos used his hidden blade from the Sith Assassins, a blade of sith alchemist steel that came out from under his wrist to kill silently to close in and kill the first of the guard.

Lee Decapitated his foe with his sith sword in the blink of an eye, using a slash of Ataru augmented with force speed that was impressive to behold... almost a century of training. In the other towers similarly the guards were dismantled during the window that the gust had presented, the well trained and force sensitive darksiders annihilated resistance without alerting any soldiers immediatley. When the gust of sands cleared Mythos looked for the signals from each tower while manning the machine gun and letting Lee set up position with a modified version of the F-11D. When both towers signaled in Mythos opened coms. "Cadan! Over the wall! Open fire!"

All towers were now raining plasma and blasterfire inside the very fortress they were installed to defend. Mythos had the hud on his eye upload the data of targets to the wrist-communicators of his allies keeping the enemy pinned down and delivering as much chaos and death as possible into the most important areas....Efficient Warfare. Mythos however was thinking what he would be needing in these cases the most... he needed more firepower that was also comfortable to carry and move into positions like this. A thought for another time...

Vanderhing still stood looking through the binoculars then chuckled

"They're making their move!!"

A big smile appeared on his face he turned his head and looked at the ship that had transported him and his cronies to the location

"Unload our guests and the cate!"

He announced to the droids. They complied and one by one 15 civilians were dragged out of the ship along with a medium sized crate. They people had noise cancelling ear muffs around their ears and gags put around their eyes and mouths. One of the droids opened the crate to reveal several small mechanical devices.

Sareen's Lamba shuttle landed a few clicks out from the fortress. The Trandoshan, armed to the teeth with n array of armor, weapons, and special accessories, was late, very very late. Not only that, but he was angry. A butterfly affect had attributed to his tardiness, and he did not wish to be late any further. Sareen had landed the medium size shuttle at a small station that he could calculate as the closest place to land to begin his journey to fortress he and his allies were to attack. Sareen slowly walked his speeder out of the cargo hold, as the wide door opened up upon a platform, currently occupied by 3 humans and an Iskalonian wearing a re-breather suit filled with water. Two of the men were holding the blasters while the third man and the alien held batons, the oldest of the bunch, a tall but somewhat stocky man with a rough look to his face, and a stubble covering his chin, stepped towards the Trandoshan, "There's a fee for those who wish to land here, scaley. Eight hundred credits, cash only."

Sareen stared coldly with his left eye into the assumed leader of this under equipped ramble, his right blinded from a firefight long ago. Despite his formidable appearance, and the weapons on his belt, the group did not cower from trying to pull one over ol' Sareen. Although his chances weren't great, the confident Trandoshan knew he had a good bet that he could take these scammers. The other human with a pistol, a much younger man than the first, gripped his weapon a little tighter as Sareen replied, "I'd recommend you get out of my way before I give you a what you truly dessserve."

The leader didn't take kind to his statement and raised his blaster, squeezing the trigger. Sareen dove, and leaped towards the firer's waist. It did not take much force to knock him down, but his friends quickly engaged on Sareen. The young one with the blaster tried firing but Sareen's quick batting off the barrel caused him to miss and lose his grip on the blaster. The two with the batons were fairly well built and charged to Sareen, they both swung within seconds. The Trandoshan dodged one, but took the brute force of another across the ear. It rung for a few moments, but it was not near enough to disable him. The young man came at him again, this time with his fists, Sareen took him by the shirt's collar and using his momentum, threw him into the body mass of the Iskalonian, breaking the fragile glass of his rebreather. Now all that stood between him, and continuing his journey, was the third man, and he looked angry. The two beasts threw themselves at each other, trading hits and punches like a professional boxing ring. Sareen could catch one, btu the other would break on his snout. The large man could take his hits with as much ease as Sareen. But he did not have a special thing Sareen had, a blaster.

As soon as they had separated, Sareen on his knees from a devastating blow by the human, grinning above the Trandoshan's kneeling body. He cracked his neck and pounded his fists, ready to serve the final shot, only to be stopped by an unholstered DL-18. His condescending look changed from that to one of shock, as his large body keeled over, it's functions no longer working. The slaver stood up and brushed off his armor, equipped with plenty of gadgets he could have used to stop any of these opponents, but he always like having a good scruff every once in a while. The leader of the bunch tried to silently get up, and run. Sareen would have none of this, and squeezed a blaster bolt between his shoulder blades amidst his feeble attempt to flee. Holstering the blaster, Sareen mounted the speeder bike, the door of his shuttle closing behind him, and sped off to his new work associates position. Today was a good day.

Excuse my tardiness to the thread, was a bit busy with Omega, expect average post output from now on.

Cadan watched as the towers were taken by Mythos' men who moved like the wind. His men weren't so graceful, they had charged to tower accending with grappling hooks they all had brought with them. Some never made it to the top of the tower and laid still at the base. As Cadan jumped onto one of the E-Webs a smirk crossed his face as he turned it onto the enemy. "Get some!" He shouted as he began to blast away some of the men.

Cadan then swtiched and jumped down onto the ground, using his boots to thrust at the last second limiting the damage done when he hit the ground. From the corner of his eye Cadan saw a man crawling away on the ground, a few shots in his legs and up his back. The Duros approached the man and rammed his foot onto the guards back before unloading a round of fire from his DL-18 into his back. "Maybe I should 'ave asked 'im where theys leader was."

"Still 'aven't seen you get your 'ands dirty Mythos!" Cadan shouted from his position on the floor. This was always a good way to catch up with friends!

"My hands are always dirty Cadan" Mythos said from the tower while laying down heavy fire from behind the turret. Lee gave him a nod and they exchanged glances, as one, they were on the move. Mythos leaped from the tower unsheathing his high tech bow from his back and notching a rappelled arrow and shooting the thing directly at the center building in the compound and pulled hard on the carbon fiber that shot out once it sank in, he swung it like a vine bringing his land to a steady swing and with one hand unleashing his lightsaber and decapitating a Duro soldier who defended an ammo cache, were he landed on a roll... something else rolled next to him too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nM__lPTWThU
Lee was behind Mythos but taking a different route, using a powerful force jump Lee was flying from the tower while brandishing his sith sword then landing to engage two enemies at a rooftop of a small building, he struck twice, dodged a vibroblade, then kept moving leaving the two corpses behind. Lee only a second behind, Mythos leading the way striking deep into contested battlefield and reaping a path of destruction in their wake to meet up with their other two brethren who they found quite fast.

Mythos took position behind the ammunition cache taking heavy fire but keeping his head low and behind the duracrete outcropping. Lee deflected one by one blaster shots in his direction next to Mythos while the other two of the Jar'Kai returned fire with their modified F-11Ds. Each of the men in the battle had their modifications set to preferences, for example: Mythos' F-11 had an extended magazine holding more rounds and the ability to select fire multiple bursts including rapid fire, Maio Saitoma and his brother Kinske both held F-11s modified for long range and precision shooting with the only difference being Maio's weapon had a different look and feel than the standard. Keeping low and keeping cover and shot positioning close they were able to kill three hostiles and injuring one more in the leg before Mythos found a massive, blackmarket modified minigun and pulled from the munitions cache delivering a massive payload at a speed of death.

Sareen sped across the rocky, barren surface of Kessel. The starry sky, unhindered by the thin atmosphere of the mining planet, stood in complete contrast to the reddish brown surface. The lengthy journey was all but scenic, except for the minor occurrences of mining facilities and small complexes. The small rocks and larger mountainous hills sped by, their image forgotten within seconds of their disappearance from Sareen's view. His Udapol Speeder was quick to speed across the kilometers of uninhabited land that covered Kessel, the journey traversing the surface of the planetoid felt longer than it should have been, reaching over half of an hour. Finally he arrived at his location, somewhere out six hundred meters out from the fort. The colorful lights and small explosions could be seen, and heard from his position.

The Trandoshan dismounted the speeder, unhooking his Reclaimer sniper rifle from the side of the speeder, the scope and barrel detached from the base of the rifle. Sareen screwed on the barrel and attached the scope on to the scope iron, clicking the lock into place. The boxy, rifle was ugly in Sareen's eyes, but it got the job done, and today it would be giving support to his allies attacking the fort. The natural born hunter distended the collapsible bipod from the rifle's stock and set it down in a good firing position. Before he laid down in prone, he took a commlink from his belt and clicked a button on the rim of the flat cylindrical device, "Tazi, forgive my tardinesss to the battle, sssome run-inss with planetary authoritiesss prevented my entry. I am ready to provide sssniper sssupport from the wessst, reporting in."

Before he could receive a response from the Duros spice trader, the bounty hunter turned slaver set himself down in the position required to fire. Although he was not traditionally a hunter, and had been prevented from his enslavement in his late childhood, Sareen did receive the training that was given to a Trandoshan youngling old enough to take his first prey. It was an equivalent to the basic training given to snipers in militaries, and with a long but unsuccessful bounty hunter career his skills as a marksman had certainly improved. Sareen took to the sights, adjusting the electronic scope, perfecting the zoom to exactly six hundred and four meters, fixing the focus to pristine condition, having a good effect even with Sareen's infrared vision. Now ready, Sareen spoke on the communicator again, "Asssign me a target and I will do my bessst, trigger isss at the ready."

Thumper looked around his command center as a sudden attack was mounted on the spice mines. His force had been atttacked by a few small groups before, but nothing of this size. Already he was beginning to see that he was going to lose and that was something that he couldn't allow. If he was going to go down, he would bring the whole ship with him.

"Men kill the slaves! I don't want them to have anything if they takes this place." Thumpers voice rang through the comms all over the mine. Muffled screams echoed from the mines as pirates turned against the slaves, murdering them in cold blood just so someone else couldn't have them.

"Anyone listening to this channel I am in need of help and I got plently of spice to pay you with! I'm getting attack by a large force, assistence is needed!" This message was shot to anyone near by followed by co-ordinates to Thumpers location.

Cadan was ducked behind a small collection of rocks, blaster fire bouncing around him and into the rock. Why did everyone seem to always be aiming for him? What had he done to diserve this, yes sure he may have enslaved, murders, beat, and just generally been a horrible Duros, but did he really deserve to be shot at. Cadan began to tilt his head side to side, maybe he did deserve this.

A spray of plasma rushed passed Cadan as Mythos had accquired a new weapon. "Aye as leader 'ere I get that when your done with that!" Cadan said over to Mythis, while blind firing over the rock attempting to hit a few targets that were still suppressing him.

"There you are you bloody lizard!" Cadan shouted through his comms to Sareen. No matter what kind of assult you were doing, it always came in handy to have a big lizard with a big gun. Either that or a Wookie.

" 'Ow 'bout you take out some of them flecks that are tryin' to take me 'ead off?" He said with a smile over his face. "Keep that goaltracker or whatever of yours 'appy."

As soon as the weapon began firing mythos realized this wasn't just any railgun or chaingun seen across the galaxy, there was something special about this weapon, it fired at a speed of almost ten thousand blaster shots per minute. It was an insane rate of rife, Mythos had never been behind anything that could shoot this fast and this powerfully before. Mythos' HUD lit up with alerts of hits, injuries and kills from his new found weapon and from the looks of it the main multi barrel chain blaster was not the only tool this weapon had for dealing destruction. Mythos stood on open ground and began pressuring the enemy with a hail of blasterfire the likes of which only a full unit was capable of. Thanks to his HUD, the Electric Eye and the flying drones beaming data into his HUD Mythos was able to put fire down range where it mas most needed. He could see enemies that were taking cover and how they were taking cover electronically through his HUD, when he found suitable targets in this already target rich environment Mythos put thought to action and delivered the pain.

A Minute went by of this carnage and violence, Mythos still blasting away with the weapon that was not giving sings of overheat just yet and the enemies in the compound even if injured still had fight in them... and there were more coming. Over his earcom he heard the distress call from Thumper, the leader of this mine... He grimaced. "We're going to have more company, turn up the violence boys!"

He didn't have to say it twice, two Jar'Kai warriors that were previously on the other side of the compound joined Mythos and his three other companions but with lightsabers in their hands and blasting an enemy with twin sith lightning not fifty yards from Mythos. That was Huna Manko and Ashanti Viskaya, two of the most versatile force users Mythos had ever seen. After their enemy was turned into a burnt crisp Huna and Ashanti went to work personally and violently killing anyone who opposed them with red lightsabers and the power of the dark side of the force.

Mythos was pleased at this display of violence and only sought to match it or surpass it himself. He aimed the railgun high to the tower he previously had, a tower that was now being recaptured by enemy miners, his HUD lit up showing the position of the three grunts and he let rip a volley of concentrated blasterfire into their position... when suddenly.

Activating Valkyr Fire

"Activating what?"

Suddenly the weapon Mythos was using burst open with blue powercells and it's forward barrels began spinning much faster than they previously were and when it started firing it's rate of fire almost tripled. Mythos opened his eyes and stood in shock but the adrenaline of battle just spurred him to use the weapon whatever it's "Mode" . The tower was peppered with such a volume of blasterfire that not only were the grunts killed in it's defense but its support beams, ceiling, walls and floor were shattered and began to crumble. "It's coming down! Get out of the way!"

The Trandoshan began to slow his breathing, his good eye taking to the sight. Sareen locked the stock into his shoulder as he began sweeping the walls of the fortress looking for enemies. It was hard to distinguish from Cadan's allies and the defenders of the fort. Eventually he found a man who didn't look particularly criminal enough to be a friend of Tazi. His clawed finger wrapped around the trigger and let the crosshair line up with the unlucky bastard's chest. Air escaped through his jagged teeth as he squeezed a shot in the man's direction. Within a few moments he was taken back a step, his legs giving out beneath him as he dropped to the floor, his body limp. Sareen grinned as heat escaped the barrel, one down, more to go.

His rifle skills were better than he remembered, even then, it was always good to get some firing practice once in a while. Once the rifle had cooled, Sareen took again to the sight, preparing for another blast. Every time he found a guy he believed to be an enemy, he squeezed the trigger, and so on. This sequence of events continued for nearly a dozen minutes, until something caught his eye. He recognized the large human as Mythos, a comrade of Tazi's, but it wasn't him that had caught his gaze. His weapon, whatever the hell it was, was quite the sight. As it switched into a bezerk mode of fire he lied with a gaping mouth, the fire power of that thing was crazy as it was magnificent.

Sareen switched on his comms, "Cadan, what in Kasshyk isss that hellisssh weapon your friend isss doning?"

[member="Herr Vanderhing"] [member="S. Tactical Droid Olympus"] [member="Cadan Tazi"] [member="Mythos"]

Vanderhing's droids pulled out 15 more civilians and were strapping the small devices. He was still peering on through his binoculars just waiting for the perfect time to strike when one of the droids spoke up "That's all of them sir!" He continued to peer through his binoculars as he let out a chuckle

"What fun this will be! Begin to take the ear muffs and gags off of them!" He pulled the binoculars off of his face "Those bastards wo-won't even know what hit them!"

He said as he let out a sadistic smile

As the smoke of the fallen tower cleared it was clear who the winner was. The enemies were absoluetly destroyed as Mythos unleashed hell upon the poor men. In some places pieces of bone or clothes could be seen, in others there was nothing but a red spray on a wall close by. "Get me one of 'em Mythos and I'll be 'appy." Cadan said as he looked around at the devastation.

It was clear who the winner was and the enemies began to retreat. Fleeing in anyway possible. A shocked smile came across Cadan's face, still in awe of the brutallity of the weapon. "I ain't seen anything like that." He mumbled under his breath.

"Come down and join us Sareen. Cadan spoke through his comms as he made his way to Mythos, firing a few shots at those he choose not to flee. "Tell ya what Mythos, I don't think a fleet of gunships could bring down a tower that quick." Cadan said slapping his friend on the back. "No way I'll be messin' with you ever."

Captain Thumper heard the screams of his men as the weapon obliterated them. By now he was already fleeing after seeing the onslaught that the weapon had brought. He and a few of his higher ranking officers were on their way to somewhere safe. Somewhere away from that gun.

As they fled the area, their eyes caught onto a ship that was unloading people and they decided to approach, weapons drawn.

"You part of that group that attacked my fortress?" Thumper shouted towards [member="Herr Vanderhing"], his blaster rifle pointed at the man. Maybe these people were the help he had called for, but one could never be too sure.
