A Show of Power (Solan, Arcanix)

Vexxtal

Purpose: Assassination
Alisa stood in the office of her Morellia factory, staring out of the window at the capital city outside. Already it had been broken by the Imperium's surprise take over, at which time she herself had pledged allegiance to it's emperor. During their talk she had told him she wanted power, power over the lesser. What she didn't mention was that she saw him as a lesser being. The trust placed in her to guard Morellia was clear, as it was to be her droids who became the new Police Force. But what they didn't know was that it wouldn't be on the Imperium's behalf.

Alisa had invited a guest over, one named [member="Solan Charr"], a member of the Shadow Dynasty that she had heard expressed an interest in this planet. The Dynasty's power was by far the most powerful of the two forces who wanted this planet, and so Miss Kalor decided to back the winner. That was, of course, if the Shadow Dynasty would accept her and her army. Seating herself at her desk, she heard a beep from her computer and then a voice. "Your guest is here, Mrs Kalor."

"Excellent, let him in." She replied, straightening the black dress she wore for formality and awaiting her guest to enter.

Solan walked in with his scythe still on his back, refusing to part with the thing as his trust o this world was a very very small thing that he would not test until he was sure they were allies or if he needed to immobilize his foes. This was how he looked at this meeting as he was wearing a leather jacket with a magnetic strip that allowed for him to connect his scythe to it. Further more in this jacket's sleeves was hidden a vibroknife with any scanning countermeasures as well as a saber he had hidden. Past that though his outfit was more associated with a spacer's garb and not that of the 'Shadow Prince' that had caused death on Makeb and commonly known for his empathy.

With that thought he looked up at his host and smiled. "Lady Kalor, hello. I must say you are more beautiful than my assistants told me."

Alisa pretended to brush her hair from her cheek, hiding the fact that she had blushed slightly at his words. "You are too kind, Mister Charr." She smiled, standing up and gesturing to the seat on the other side of her desk. "Please, sit. We have a lot to discuss, and the show is about to begin." Her smile continued as she sat down again, looking to her screen once more. "Your other guest has arrived, Mrs Kalor."
"Send her in." The woman replied to her assistant, awaiting the arrival of her second guest; [member="Darth Arcanix"]. As well as needing a more powerful ally, Kalor-Tech also need carriers to transport their droids between planets, and Alisa was no ship expert. Fortunately, her second guest was, and the whole reason for her invitation was to sort out a deal where carriers could be produced for the Battle Droids.

And, of course, she needed witnesses for what was about to happen...

Taeli felt particularly uncomfortable coming into Shadow Dynasty space, even if they did have a deal with Krayt Industries. The whole hating Sith thing had been grating on her nerves of late, but then that was understandable considering what she had been going through in her personal life. Still, business couldn't stop so she had decided to pursue the invitation sent by a [member="Alisa Kalor"] about producing a carrier for her company.

She had been happy to have something to take her mind off things and as she rode up to the woman's office in the turbolift, she adjusted her gray dress slightly as the doors opened and she entered the office. She immediately recognized the man sitting with her host and she sighed internally. She really didn't need this right now. . .

"Thank you for the invitation, I don't get out to this side of the galaxy often," Taeli said in way of greetings, expecting a remark from [member="Solan Charr"] in one shape or form.

He looked over his shoulder and started to look up as he began to smile a bit wider at the face of the one who he straightened up and spoke to. "My and what is such a... Datura doing here upon Morellia, i must say i had not expected to find you willing to come so close to Shadow Dynasty influence..." Solan smiled as he tapped his hand on his arm as he looked between the two of them and then motioned to a chair. "Might you so mind if i sit down Lady Kalor?"

"Of course, both of you take a seat." Alisa gestured to the two seats opposite her desk with a smile. "I see you two have already met, then we can skip the pleasantries and get down to business." Her hand shifted to a touch pad on the left of her desk. "After the entertainment, of course." She swiped across the touch pad, and suddenly a large screen on the left hand wall lit up with camera footage of what seemed to be through the eyes of a soldier. No... A Droid. The KT1 Battle Droids began their sweep through the city, their mission simple. Help the citizens rebuild their homes, and eliminate any remaining Imperium presence. The latter was easy, as the vast majority of them stayed off-planet in their Black Citadel, so the only members on earth were most likely grunts.

Returning her hand to the middle of her desk, Alisa nodded to the others. "While that is handled, let's talk." Her gaze turned to Solan first. "Mister Charr, you know you are here to talk of your Shadow Empire. I would happily fight for you Empire, but only on one rather small condition." She gestured to the screen, which currently displayed a group of her droids saving civilians from a couple of Imperium grunts. "My droids continue to be the main police force of this planet, and I get to use the resources I need to produce my droids. Of course, these both turn out as advantages to you, as my security will be almost free, and as many battle droids as you need will be at your disposal."

Her eyes then flickered over to Darth Arcanix. "As for you, Lady Arcanix, you will be my salvation in my time of need. I'm not very good at making ships, nevermind Carriers, but I've heard you're quite the expert. I would be delighted if our companies could come to an agreement as to having Carriers made for my upcoming Dropships." Alisa pulled out a small datapad from the drawer in her desk, sliding it along the table towards Arcanix. On it was the specs for a prototype draft of the dropship.

"So, what do you both say?" Her smile returned, polite as ever as she looked between the two of them, awaiting one's reply.

"I think Krayt Industries would be happy to design and build something for your use, Miss Kalor," Taeli said, ignoring Solan right now and his comment about her being a moonflower. The demonstration was very impressive, and the droids were highly efficient in their job. She took a few mental notes about them as she watched them deal with the armored grunts they encountered.

Looking over the datapad containing the schematics for the dropships, she began perusing what would be appropriate for a carrier. "I think a carrier ship of about 400 to 500 meters might be best, most of that would include the hanger so you could fit as many dropships inside as you want or need. Defensive weaponry and heavier armoring and shielding, but little to none offensive weapons and it would most likely be slow because of its functionality. Would you be amendable to such a design?"

"Our Sith..." He looked at Arcanix for a second, finding the right word. "... Friend. Is correct in the evaluation of your droids, i must say i am more than impressed by the show that you have given me and it is a wonder on what that is that you have given me access too seeing." His hand ran once over his chin before he smiled and nodded. "I do believe that your droids are more than a sufficient power but there is something that i must ask you. In using these droids, the moment they leave your ownership, i assume tyou remove all and any control functions granted to you as their manufacturer and repurpose them to fit the needs of those that stand off and hold onto the control of the droids on their own. I dont need to be shot in the back order 66 style... no offense about the joke in reference to your paragon Lady Sith."

"Such a design would be perfect." Alisa smiled at the woman, deeply glad that the arrangement would happen and that she would soon be able to move her droids from Morellia in masses. After all, the carriers were vital to transporting them for the Shadow Empire's needs. "And of course, full control of your droids will be placed in your leader, or you can split them between multiple people. It's up to you. I have my own droids anyway, and I have no intention of betraying you." She had turned to Solan, her voice sincere. If one was to judge the truth from her voice, they could find no fault in it. The truth was, there was no fault. She did not want to betray the Shadow Empire, it would be much better to instead climb up it's ranks and gain more power from there. "Anymore questions, hm?" Alisa looked between the two of them again, shifting her gaze to the screen for a second or two. The droids had finished sweeping the main parts of the city, and already they were helping repair the damage from the Imperium's attack.

And the people loved them for it.

"I can't say I have many questions at all," Taeli said, looking over the droids. Hearts and minds, she thought, it was always about hearts and minds when it came to beings and Sith were no exception. "Although, I would think a formal contract for producing the carrier might be required to eb drawn up. Vocal agreement, while good, can be . . . shiftable."

She wanted to ignore Solan's comment, but couldn't resist the temptation of commenting herself.

"As for you Mr. Charr, I will have you know while I respect the maneuverings and game of Darth Sidious, I prefer to take example from Bane and Zannah. An easy mistake for someone who has had . . . other dealings with Sith."
