The Hightower Lounge was one of the most beautiful establishments Diamis had gotten to perform in since the beginning of her career, and she didn't hold back. She'd splurged on a new dress, a stark white that made the blue of her skin stand out even more, with gold trim that complemented her eyes. Upon seeing the dress code of the guests, she knew she'd made the right decision. Between the gig here and her luck in meeting Fiolette, she had a feeling that more high-class gigs were in her future. She'd gladly take them as they came (they often paid amazingly), but her heart was in the lower class lounges. That was where she could entertain the real nitty gritty of society, the ones who deserved a night's rest.

Of course, that didn't mean she didn't enjoy gigs like Hightower. They gave her the chance to perform for a different crowd, people who often held themselves to a higher standard. Whether they deserved it or not was all up to them, and how they treated others, at least in Diamis's opinion. But then again, her views on people were often... muddled. She considered herself a performer first, but a psychologist close second. It was always fun to try and read others, to get a glimpse into what they're thinking, what they want.

Her perfectly manicured fingers flirted with the mic, her eyes flittering over the crowd. Making eye contact for two seconds here, holding it a bit longer there, and her eyes every now and again trailing towards the door, wanting to welcome in any newcomers with her voice.

As an honored, semi-frequent guest of the Hightower Lounge when he's not drowned in paperwork or overseeing military deployments, Tagashon considered himself somewhat fortunate to have the privilege of being recognized by those manning the club door just with a look. He skipped ahead of the rest of the club's line upon being motioned forth, along with various other military officers that accompanied him on their downtime - mostly by association with one of the members of the Alliance Admirality, of course.

"Ah, Admiral Tagashon. A pleasure to have you back, sir," began a Weequay chaperone, bowing his head lightly in respect. Owing to his line of work, the man was rather dapper in his dress - quite the jarring exception against a species famed for a high amount of pirates in the outer and mid rim territories. This hardly weighed on Tagashon, of course; he simply nodded and followed along. "If you will follow me, I will show you to your reservation."

The esteemed admiral only barely registered the words, having grown quite used to his presence. Full courtesies as needed of one of such civil status were given, of course, but it was as uniform in practice as handing out patrol orders to the commodores and captains of the 1st Fleet.

What wasn't standard was the woman on stage. Brilliant blue skin, deep red eyes, and far more familiar as a being than any others save, perhaps, his most hated enemies; the Chiss singer. As opposed to the usual humans and twi'leks, he laid firm eyes on her the moment her voice his ears.

"And, pray tell, who is the one singing upon the stage?" He asks of the chaperone, once he's by his cocktail table with a glass of Tatooine Sunset in his hand, with the other hand loosely held behind the small of his back.

The chaperone glanced up towards the stage, then back to the Admiral. "She goes by Diamis, Admiral. From my understanding, she isn't local, but travels for performances. A new freelance hire here at the Lounge, he explained. "Shall I request her presence?"

The song was an old one in Diamis's routine, one she was comfortable with, and one of her favorites to perform. It was a crowd pleaser, and allowed her voice to carry throughout any sized room. Because of her comfort level with it, she was able to do more crowd work and keep her eyes readily available for whatever came her way.

She certainly wasn't prepared for who she saw walk through the door.

Diamis had heard of him. These days, if she walked into a room and anyone knew another Chiss, she'd hear their name. Nobody knew any of their full names, of course, so it was a toss up as to which house they were from, and if she even had a sliver of a chance of knowing them. In this case, she hadn't known Admiral Tagashon before, but he'd been mentioned to her when she was hired at Hightower. The man who'd hired her had offhandedly mentioned that the Admiral spent time there, but she hadn't expected him to actually be there from the man's description.

But no. Here he was. The first Chiss she'd seen since leaving Csilla four years ago.

She let her eyes flick to him momentarily, giving a small nod, before continuing to focus on other areas of the crowd. She wasn't sure if she was ready to face him, but she had a feeling she would need to. And she'd be ready.
