Nemene stepped on a piece of broken rubble with a loud crunch, her boots breaking apart what had once been a stone statue. She frowned slightly as she looked at the bottom of her boot, grayish white residue covering the tip of it. Once the statue had likely been of some ancient Sith Lord, some powerful wielder of the darkside or another. Now it was but rubble, left behind in the wake of a panicked evacuation of Rudrig when the Sith Empire had fallen into anarchy and collapsed.
With a slight sniff Nemene turned her head upwards and away from the statue, her eyes falling on a mountain pass straight ahead of her. Somewhere up there lay the former vaults of the Sith Empire, ransacked and left bare by a dozen different people now.
Of course Nemene had no idea that the vaults had been emptied long ago by one @[member="Lord Dissero"], but was instead under the assumption that the knowledge that had lain within the Vault was taken when most of the Imperials had fled. Either way she doubted that she would find anything of substance, but instead she would find clues. Her genetic gift would allow her that much, and with slow methodical steps she began to climb up the path to the Vaults.
Nemene made quick progress, her eyes following listlessly every time she heard a noise or saw something in the corner of her eyes.
Even now this place was dangerous. Wayward Sith or even Jedi could pop out at any moment. Rudrig may have been largely abandoned by the Empire, but it was still a populated world. People came here for all sorts of different reasons, most chiefly, knowledge. There was still a grand university here, and the populace still greatly enjoyed teaching.
More than Nemene had come here after the Empire's fall, and more would come still.
