The directive had come down from Miss Raaf to the development team on Nar Shaddaa that she wanted research done into stone mites, specifically their acidic enzymes and the possibility of concentrating it and adapting for use in munitions and other equipment the company could develop. It was a directive that the head of Advanced Compound Creation on Nar Shaddaa, a Falleen named Uzor Villas was personally going to be overseeing the project.
He wasn't sure why Miss Raaf wanted such research done, but he could guess with several hypotheses. Most of them revolved around his boss being rather cautious about the resurgence in the Mandalorian people and their recent conquest of the Kashyyyk system, but another idea was Miss Raaf was simply wanting to branch out and corner a new market as acid compounds were not common things to be developed... and they did have other uses besides a military application.
Regardless, it wasn't his job to ponder on the motives of his boss. He was simply told to research something, and research he would. First step, capture several live stone mites for research and dissection. That would not be much of a problem, considering Nar Shaddaa like other city worlds and moons had stone mites here and about.
"Teamz deploy," he hissed into his comlink. They had marked two sites as having higher amounts of the creatures and he was now directing Aurora security personnel to those sites to retrieve the little pests.
