Tasia Palpatine
Michael Angellus
Phillip Slate
Ala Quin
Phylis scooped up the golden treasures and moved to a locked section near the engines. There a vault made of voidstone, reinforced durasteel and even some Phrik reinforcement housed some of the more dangerous items. After a complicated series of procedures to open it, Phylis deposited the golden regalia inside.
Phillip would hear though just for a few seconds a voice in his head. An ancient voice of equal parts malevolent and playful could be heard.
"Finally, you're back, Jedi. Come to throw some junk in here with me and then keep me penned up again? You're no fun. Oh, but you have friends…should let me play with them…."
Phylis' reply was a "Hmmph" as she closed the vault, and the voice was cut off. As she emerged, she glanced at Phillip and gave a slight shrug. "What can I say, I have a habit of acquiring, hmm, cursed objects. Don't worry, that one is trapped in an amulet in the vault."
It seemed that was all the explanation she was going to give.
As Michael changed his form a bit, Six-Nine rolled up behind him. His innocent beeping indicated that the Padawan at least looked more fitting for the role. He then continued to warble that the Sith fortress doubtless contained many vicious beasts, traps and deadly monsters, so every little helped….
As Phylis passed by and out the door she looked down at her droid. "I said, be nice. Hmmph, I'm sure all the deadly monsters are long gone after 9 centuries. The traps, well, hmm…we'll see." Reassuring? Maybe.
Fortunately for Michael, Six-Nine was staying on board so he wouldn't be trolled by the droid any further...for now.
Phylis came face to face with the heir of Palpatine. Of course, as the Jedi Master would be quick to add, nine hundred years was a long time and there would likely be thousands of people with that honour. Still, to see the young woman here as a Jedi Knight was a very interesting situation.
"Ah, you must be Tassia, hmm?" she asked with a polite bow. "Appropriate that you are here. Let us proceed," she said with a wave onward. "Have you ever been here?" she asked Tasia.
Nibbles glanced at Ala. Did the rat just wink at her with his gold flecked eyes…or was that a trick of the light? Either way, he scampered back on board the ship.
"Yes, let us begin," Phylis said with a smile at Ala, leading the group onwards.
The ancient redoubt had been long looted and abandoned. The large top wall with its extensive view down to the plains below was damaged and cracked, whilst the once extensive green domes of the main surface structure had fallen in.
As Phylis approached the entrance she saw that fallen stone blocked part of the entrance to the main building, but holes in the roof would allow them to drop down.
"Right, up we go. Be careful how you proceed," Phylis called to her companions as she started to climb. Fortunately, the fallen stone spire provided a good ladder, but it was cracked and slippery in places, making travelling over it more difficult.
"Hmm, Master Quin, can you assist the Padawans, I'll go a bit further ahead and see what I can find."
No sign of Sith traps, monsters or horrors for now…and yet there was a pervasive yet weak sensation of the Dark Side within….
