Phillip blinked as he could sense the glowing coming from the plaques. He knew his awareness of the Force wasn't the greatest but it was clear as day to him that there was something strange about them. He brought his eyes closer towards the plaques, taking in their golden beauty. Reaching his hand out towards them slowly but surely. It wouldn't hut if he just had a quick little look right? To try and reading the letters. There was nothing wrong with that...Not at all....

Though the sudden voice of Master Alince caused Phillip to snap his hand away all of a sudden as he tried to figure out what exactly he had been trying to do. Oh. Now he gets it. This was why he hated gold. There were too many weird tricks stored inside of it. Silver was much better.

Once again, the young man blinked to himself as he was snapped out of whatever strange allure the plaques had on him. Brushing his hand down against his jacket instead. Mental note to self, don't get hooked in by strange golden...whatever these were. Instead, Phillip started to pace around the ship, waiting for their inevitable arrival at their destination. He wasn't going to have much to say, or to add to their little expedition, so Phillip just planned to stay at the back of the group, taking in the sights.

Journal Entry: .

Learn something new every day.

What did I learn today? Even droids can be “jerks”. I should already know it with how “BRED” can be, but so be it. I was just trying to be friendly to the little dude, but I guess it doesn’t want to be. Whatever. I’m not mad. No, really I’m not. I’m serious!

When the ship landed, I was interested in learning about it, then Ala mentioned how it was a Sith Fortress… How did I miss that part?

Why did I bring that part up? Well my journal account took a weird picture of me. It’s on the left.

Tasia could tell that the Aihwa was grateful to land by the time the pair arrives, the jedi ran her fingers down the creature's jaw as she walked past and on her way to meet the others. It curled it's head under its wing and went to sleep.

"Field safety is overrated sometimes." she laughed to Ala Quin Ala Quin . She liked the energy that the young woman was giving off . "I do hope that everyone has meditated before this trip though. Sheev's influence is strong and lingers, I imagine he has some long dormant tricks up his sleeve." she flexed her eyebrows in anticipation and looked around at the group. It was an interesting group so they should expect the unexpected. Tasia wondered what they might find, after Palpatine's fall his estate was dismantled and as much as could be was portioned out amongst his descendants and confidantes, it was the reason the neutronium statue containing the blade that became hers ended up in her close family's custody. She touched the hilt at her side as she thought about it.

"Michael, it is a pleasure to see you once again." of all the Shirayan Jedi it seemed to be he that her path was repeatedly crossing. Are we all ready?"

Ala grinned the moment she spotted the rider dismount. Who else would soar into the scene like a windswept war goddess with eyebrows full of prophecy? Apparently, Tasia.

“Meditation? Sure. I meditated. Very calmly. While eating three pastries and humming battle anthems from the Clone Wars holo-dramas.” Her tone was a little too casual, a little too cheerful. She threw Tasia a wink. “I’m kidding. Mostly. I’m centered enough. Center-adjacent.”

She gave the Aiwha a once-over. “Tell your big feathery friend I owe him a ride one day. That was beautiful.”

As Phylis gave instructions to the droid and set Nibbles down, Ala offered her a thumbs-up with both hands. “Still not screaming. See? Growth.” Then, half under her breath, “Please don’t run up my leg, little guy. I’m all for Force-spawned fauna, but I have boundaries.”

Turning slightly, Ala’s eyes landed on Phillip as he quietly drifted toward the back of the group. Her expression softened—just a bit—and she stepped closer, matching his pace for a moment without crowding him.

“Hey, Silver is greater than gold. I’m with you on that.” She gestured loosely toward the plaques. “Weird shiny junk that whispers to you in the Force is never worth the emotional damage. You good?”

Ala didn’t push. She just offered a small nod and a quiet moment of real connection—then turned her gaze back toward the ruined structure ahead.

“Let’s go knock on Palpatine’s front door, shall we?”

Journal Entry: .

Okay, this is going to be a weird entry.

I completely forgot that I am part Shi’do.

Yeah, I know, “How do you forget something like that?”

Yeah, I know, “What does this have to do with anything?”

Well. I can’t completely change my appearance at will or anything, but I can change aspects of it if I focused. So as I was standing there in front of the mirror, wishing I wasn’t the useless wuss that I am, and there it happened. I started to look “bigger”. Not much, but I didn’t look like a string bean anymore.

"Michael, it is a pleasure to see you once again."

WHOAH!

Again, I proved just how useless I am compared to everyone else. Tasia scared the crap out of me and I jumped hard enough to hit my head on a support beam. owww… Hi Tasia.

I’ll just hang in the back and look around, just happy to be here.

One of these days I’ll get trained and be confident in myself.

Phylis scooped up the golden treasures and moved to a locked section near the engines. There a vault made of voidstone, reinforced durasteel and even some Phrik reinforcement housed some of the more dangerous items. After a complicated series of procedures to open it, Phylis deposited the golden regalia inside.

Phillip would hear though just for a few seconds a voice in his head. An ancient voice of equal parts malevolent and playful could be heard.

"Finally, you're back, Jedi. Come to throw some junk in here with me and then keep me penned up again? You're no fun. Oh, but you have friends…should let me play with them…."

Phylis' reply was a "Hmmph" as she closed the vault, and the voice was cut off. As she emerged, she glanced at Phillip and gave a slight shrug. "What can I say, I have a habit of acquiring, hmm, cursed objects. Don't worry, that one is trapped in an amulet in the vault."

It seemed that was all the explanation she was going to give.

As Michael changed his form a bit, Six-Nine rolled up behind him. His innocent beeping indicated that the Padawan at least looked more fitting for the role. He then continued to warble that the Sith fortress doubtless contained many vicious beasts, traps and deadly monsters, so every little helped….

As Phylis passed by and out the door she looked down at her droid. "I said, be nice. Hmmph, I'm sure all the deadly monsters are long gone after 9 centuries. The traps, well, hmm…we'll see." Reassuring? Maybe.
Fortunately for Michael, Six-Nine was staying on board so he wouldn't be trolled by the droid any further...for now.

Phylis came face to face with the heir of Palpatine. Of course, as the Jedi Master would be quick to add, nine hundred years was a long time and there would likely be thousands of people with that honour. Still, to see the young woman here as a Jedi Knight was a very interesting situation.

"Ah, you must be Tassia, hmm?" she asked with a polite bow. "Appropriate that you are here. Let us proceed," she said with a wave onward. "Have you ever been here?" she asked Tasia.

Nibbles glanced at Ala. Did the rat just wink at her with his gold flecked eyes…or was that a trick of the light? Either way, he scampered back on board the ship.

"Yes, let us begin," Phylis said with a smile at Ala, leading the group onwards.

The ancient redoubt had been long looted and abandoned. The large top wall with its extensive view down to the plains below was damaged and cracked, whilst the once extensive green domes of the main surface structure had fallen in.

As Phylis approached the entrance she saw that fallen stone blocked part of the entrance to the main building, but holes in the roof would allow them to drop down.

"Right, up we go. Be careful how you proceed," Phylis called to her companions as she started to climb. Fortunately, the fallen stone spire provided a good ladder, but it was cracked and slippery in places, making travelling over it more difficult.

"Hmm, Master Quin, can you assist the Padawans, I'll go a bit further ahead and see what I can find."

No sign of Sith traps, monsters or horrors for now…and yet there was a pervasive yet weak sensation of the Dark Side within….

Ala caught the rat’s golden-flecked wink out of the corner of her eye and froze for half a second, one brow arching so high it could have floated off her forehead.

“Was... was that rat flirting with me?” she muttered under her breath, baffled. She shook her head sharply, sending her curls bouncing around her shoulders, and added in a low voice, “Figures. Only serious romantic attention I get these days is from a Force-sensitive rodent.”

She gave a quiet snort at herself, adjusted the saber hilt at her hip, and turned to the Padawans with a grin that managed to be both encouraging and mischievous at once.

"Alright, my young charges," she announced, "we’ve got a spooky fortress, crumbling ruins, and about a thousand opportunities to do something awesome—or catastrophically dumb. Good news? You’ve got me."

She gestured grandly toward the broken stone spire ahead.

"Stick close, watch your footing, and if you see anything glowing and whispering your name... maybe don’t make direct eye contact."

With a playful wink, Ala stepped lightly toward the climb, motioning for the Padawans to fall in behind her.

"Let’s go make Master Alince proud, yeah?"
