A long time ago in this galaxy... [General Terrus/Count Morcus/Aramus]

giphy.gif
Our story begins twenty years before the Battle of Yavin and nine hundred and eighty after the Ruusan Reformation during one of the most deviously planned conflicts in the galaxy, the Clone Wars. The war had been raging on for over two years with the third year being as brutal as the previous, the Northern Campaign was started and so forth came the Battle of Drongar.

It was also around this period that a new class of droid was created by Baktoid Combat Automata, the Super Tactical Droid, and with it, Ardross. The droid had started off as a regular model with all of its flaws, intact but something was different, he was sentient. He could feel "emotions", he perceived his surroundings and what he was, and he could experience and learn from things.

The engineers had no idea what had happened during the construction process that could cause the droid to become sentient, they were hesitant to allow him to lead the Confederacy's forces against the Republic, but one man could see his potential as a "useful" asset to the CIS, and his name was Count Dooku. Dooku had some of the Confederacy's tacticians go over his strategies for simulated battles, and when they were found to be great successes, he allowed the droid to serve, but not in a high position.

For the final years of the Clone Wars, Ardross served as overseer of a Separatist listening post near the border between the Mid Rim and the Outer Rim in the Torolis system. He waited for months upon months for anything eventful, but he did not give up his duties. In 19 BBY, at the end of the Clone Wars, as Lord Vader made his mission to Mustafar, Ardross still served faithfully as one of the last official Separatist outposts before he shutdown a few hours later, entering an endless slumber.

Or so he thought.

Aramus

Artificial Intelligence/Sentient
Aramus had been lost in research. A phrase that best described when nearly every bit of code was being devoted toward searching for anything of intrigue that could benefit its creator.
With nearly 73% of its processing unit in use it was difficult to bother with maintaining other subroutines.
It was performing binary archaeology. Pouring over old data from a multitude of holonetworks. Most of them defunct and often times the information was so broken and old that Aramus was beginning to experience annoyance at wasting so much time and effort in this endeavor. A trait it would have to wipe from its affective computing soon as it simply clouded the search routines.
The Clone Wars was an era from such a distant past that it was to dig down and pull from archives around the galaxy.
Piggy backing through various systems around the galaxy had taken a few weeks. Mostly relying on those travelling around for Aramus to compress and unzip itself and upload and download to the needed servers. While ti had never truly left Void Station it had lost a number of agents or fragments of code broken off to search for this information. Recovering from these losses was slow from being its primary mission at the moment, subroutines for recovery would have to wait.
However with each loss a lesson was gained.
Republic fire walls were not as strong as most others. The Galactic Alliances were horrendously easy to get into. The One Sith was nigh impregnable. Covering its data trails was also taxing project on top off getting these agents around.

Today though it seemed that a discovery was being made.
It appeared that system had been surveyed recently by explorers.
Logged that an observation team had come across the ruins of an old Separatist outpost.
The explorers had apparently left the world in a hurry with no mention as to why.
There may have been casualties due to some sort of accident. The report was short in description and after further investigation Aramus discovered that the document was redacted.
The world had been tagged for quarantine but recent conflicts have made it impossible to enforce this law.

So Aramus gave a report to [member="Count Morcus"] on the discovery of a possible reliquary of older technology. The Count had a penchant for acquiring these relics from the past.

The Count had eventually recieved the report from Aramus, and had decided to investigate personally. He, Terrus and a contingent of his Dark Acolytes had made their way to the world via Sheathipede Shuttle, in order to investigate the situation at the ruined Separatist outpost. ''Remain vigilant, my friends. Something happened here to cause that team to evacuate.'' The shuttle soon touched down on the wooded area surrounding the dig site, before extending it's boarding ramp. The Count descended down it, clad in his ornate suit of plasteel armor with his crossguarded lightsaber hilt affixed to his belt. He quietly gazed around the area. ''Stay together. I sense we may not be alone here.....'', he said cautiously, drawing his hilt and igniting it. His acolytes followed suit, and the group began moving forward into the ruins....

Aramus

Artificial Intelligence/Sentient
Aramus was accompanying the good Count Morcus and company.
It had uploaded itself into an astromech.
While the processing and data were substantially smaller than that of the Void Station it was a different experience and certainly anything could be gained from that.
Aramus had found a word appropriate for its size in Galactic Basic, Cozy!
This was no average Astromech though.
Aramus had installed a voice modulator in it to allow easy communication.
Along with a small hologram dias on top of its head so that communication could be done face to face almost.
Also Aramus could project itself if needed.
The little droid trundled along side its master and the trio of acoyltes he had taken under his teachings of the force.
The force was not something Aramus could comprehend yet.
It was incalculable.
Which was disturbing to say the least.
Either way the AI would have to sift through the biochemistry thesis's on midiclorians at a later time.
//Warning//
0.003 of a second was Aramus suprised but recomposed and proceeded to cast a sonar ping throughout the vicinity.
Nothing came back.
