Subject 73 Red

We're more ghosts than people.
Ben Craig Ben Craig Kren Kren

Red looked out of the cockpit of the ship at the desert planet of Jakku. Why he was here? Well, it's a long story. Let's say that he got a job opportunity by some faction that was willing to hire him as a special forces agent, and they called him out to their headquarters on Jakku to meet up with him. So, Red traveled here, to Jakku, to meet up with the faction. Red pressed some buttons on the console, and took the ship in closer to the surface.

Red typed in something else on the console, and hailed the faction's HQ. "Directorate HQ, this is transport 194-771. My name is Red, also known as Subject 78. I am here because Admiral Ben Craig has requested I join, and I am here to discuss it and accept. Requesting permission to land." Red said over the commlink. Now he waited.

Kren was not new to combat. It was a long friend. However, obtaining a position in a military outside of his homeworld, that was more troublesome. However, he did find one that would prove more acceptable than a typical mercenary. Some kind of special forces. He believed it would fit his level of skill much better. He'd had to get someone else to bring him there. Unfortunately, there was only so much he'd carry on him. So he mostly brought clothes and his multiple daggers, many easily accessible, along with an alchemized sword across his back. His clothing, some food, some Akrash, a few tools, what little credits he had obtained, and some additional weapons were all placed in a bag that he was hauling on his back.

He sat next to the pilot who had already been paid, glancing at the ships technology. It was a pretty good ship actually, not that Kren could really tell. He hadn't a clue how to pilot. He was a soldier, he specialized in combat, not transportation. The pilot brought up the comms system, holding it in front of Krens face, "You're the one that's supposed to be here. You tell them." he said simply.

Kren let out a grunt, taking it, and speaking into it with a remarkable clear voice for a second language, even if the wordage itself wasn't always exactly fluent,
"I am Kren Vorak. I am looking for 'Admiral Ben Craig.' I wish to join some form of 'special forces'."

The pilot rolled his eyes and took it back from him, "This is Pridon Lash, the pilot of the black G9 Rigger-class light freighter. Requesting permission to land."

Ben paced around one of the control rooms. “Sir their here.” Ben nodded to the duty officer. “Let then in, and have them meet me in conference room A.” Ben walked out and started to the conference room to get things sorted before they arrived. The control tower acknowledged each of the agents and allowed them to land. When they would arrive, they would be escorted by Directorate troops to the conference room. Ben couldn’t wait.

Rustbuckets will never go out of style.
Leenic sat in the cockpit of his ship, watching the white lines of hyperspace travel slip by his ship. He had been traveling for a good few days for this job, but he didn't mind because travelling was a common occurrence for bounty hunters like him. Plus, he had been sitting on a backwater planet hiding from a queen and her soldiers after an attempted assassination. He switched on the autopilot and turned his seat around, standing up and walking back into the rear portion of his ship.

If the damage on his armor wasn't enough to tip a person off, the Mandalorian armor itself showed the fact that combat was a lifestyle, pastime, and a profitable enterprise for Leenic. He had been on countless bounties before, but the idea of joining an elite group of soldier for both good pay and high-risk missions was a dream come true for him.

But then, an alert went off on the ship's intercom and alerted him that the ship was about to exit hyperspace. He walked back to the cockpit and sat down in the chair as the ship exited hyperspace and a large Star Destroyer came into view. "Unidentified ship, state your purpose." Said a voice over the comms. "Leenic Ellsil." He responded, switching back to manual piloting. "I'm here to see the Directorate."

Red received permission to land, and that he would do. Red moved the ship over a landing pad, and put the ship down on it. Red walked out of the ship, and noticed the squad of troopers awaiting him.

"We have orders to take you to Conference Room A" One of the troopers stated.

"Lead the way." Red nodded.

The squad lead him into the building, and through the labyrinth of hallways and corridors. They lead him three floors up through the lifts, and they continued back through the hallways. Soon, they arrived at the door to the conference room. The door opened, and Red walked in. The door closed behind him. He noticed Admiral Craig already in there
"Admiral Craig, I'm Agent Red, one of the people selected for the special forces group." Red introduced himself, setting his helmet down on the table and saluting to the admiral.

Leenic nodded when the permission to land came through, slowly maneuvering his ship into the landing bay and stepping out into the hangar. He walked up next to red as the soldiers told him they would be escorting him to the conference room. Leenic quietly followed along and as the walked nodded to red. "Its a small universe after all." He said. "Long time no see!"

Leenuc remained quiet for the rest of the walk, watching the corridors pass as they walked through. Eventually they got to the conference room and Red introduced himself. Leenic followed suit, saying "Leenic Ellsil, I'm also here for the job." He then patted his holstered pistol and nodded. "Hope that we get some action soon, sir. If that's what you want me to call you."

The ship was permitted to enter, which meant Kren's business with the pilot was done. He left the ship with barely a word. Hauling his bag on his back, his sword across his bag, multiple daggers visually on his person. As he left the ship he approached a group of soldiers who stood waiting for them, but instead of leading the way he was told they'd have to take his bag. His eyes narrowed and he let out a low grumble, "I will get it back." he prompted, they assured him he would, "I better."

He handed it over with narrowed eyes but again before they let him pass one of them put down a container, saying "Weapons too, just a precaution." Another grumble from the Vran, "I better get these back." he said simply, removing them each, the sword simply rose off his back with its sheath placing itself into the container. Now, on most worlds, that would prompt belief he was force sensitive. He was most assuredly not...exactly. Nor did he even think to remember that most would be unaware of this fact.

They would eventually let him continue, being brought to the room, eyeing them all as he went. Taking away his weapons while they stood so close. Inferior beings in his mind. A mind tainted by almost planet wide pride of their own species, few had escaped its grasp, but few out of the world knew they had it at all. He noticed Leenic Ellsil Leenic Ellsil and Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red , who had arrived before him. Or at least, made it here before him. But for now he made no comment to them, simply looking at Ben Craig Ben Craig ,
"Admiral Ben Craig. I am Kren Vorak from Vran'ti. I am here to join Special Forces."

His voice was almost painfully monotone. Until he let out a groan, folding his arms, "And they took my stuff...for now, I'll be needing it back." he narrowed his eyes at one of them, then glanced back at Craig, "I have things I do not believe they make most places without considerable cost."

Ben patiently waited each of the members arrival. “Sir, their here.” Ben looked up from his datapad. He pushed a button on the desk, “Delightful, send them in.” Subject 73 Red, or just Red was the first to arrive shortly followed by Leenic and lastly Kren. Ben looked up and smiled. “Welcome Agent Red, nice to meet you.” Ben saluted back, noting that he had some sort of military experience. Ben then nodded to Leenic, “Welcome, you will be seeing a lot of action. You can just call me Admiral or anything you prefer.” When Kren arrived Ben nodded, “You must be Kren, nice to meet you. Sorry about your bags...just protocol, I’ll be sure they will be given back to you once we are finished. Ben gestured to the seats in front of him, “Please sit.”

As soon as all of them sat, Ben walked around the table and handed out data pads unique to each member. “Congratulations on being selected to a secret elite group of the Directorate, Task Force 66. We deal with foreign and domestic threats to our organization. Your missions will vary depending on the situation. Each and everyone of you are unique and different with different characteristics and abilities. Unlike a traditional task force, we are a smaller group allowing for accountability and a bigger budget. As agents you will automatically be given a higher rank than regular Directorate infantry. You will also be provided with whatever means or resources to accomplish your missions. Any questions so far?

Red turned to the person speaking to him. It was a Mandalorian, and sensitive in the Force, at that. The armor looked familiar, and Red could swear that he had felt this presence before, but he couldn't put it down...

Wait a minute, it was that Mandalorian from that space station! They had worked together, more or less, to rescue a child. "Mando! I'm surprised to see you here." Red admitted. He had never expected to see the Mandalorian ever again but here he was. "So you're joining too, huh?"

Red sat down in a chair, and turned to the Admiral. He sat his helmet on the table. Admiral Craig explained their group, and the basics of their missions and resources and such. The Admiral asked if there were any questions. Red raised his hand slightly. "Yeah. You say that there we will have higher rank than most infantry, describe what kinds of ranks. Sergeant? Lieutenant? Captain. Also, will there be ranking authority within our group? The Galactic Empire had many commando units, often with three members. They reported to higher ranking officers, but also within their own group they had a member that gave them orders, usually a Commander. The Galactic Republic had four man commando squads, with a Captain or Sergeant that lead them and gave them orders in the field." Red said.

Dr. Droideka

I'll be the brains of this outfit
Leenic sighed and shook his head. Military types were all very similar in their actions, almost predictable in how they responded to different commands. This Jedi was no different, except that he could hold his own in the field, even against a Sith. He then looked over at the man sitting nearby, he looked like he had just walked out of a tribe and onto this ship. Then he looked back at the Admiral on the other side of the table. A proud looking man, most definitely an Imperial of some sort, but that wouldn't be a problem in any respects. He listened to the Admiral's mini speech and glanced down at his datapad. It had some minor information on the task force and the group they would be working under, someone called The Directorate.

Leenic looked up and patted his pistol when the Admiral asked if anyone had any questions. "I got a good one for you." He said, kicking his feet up onto the table. "Are we going to be supplied with weapons? Or will we have to use our personal ones?"

(Ah crap guys, I forgot I was still signed into this account. Sorry!)

Ben Craig Ben Craig didn't seem particularly strict on the code. That was fine, it wasn't like these beings were expected to be as upright. Besides, it made life easier if he wasn't required to fit to that. For now though he'd stick with calling the man by his title, Admiral. Seemed no reason to do otherwise. But he said he'd get his bags back once it was over, Kren nodded his head in thanks and sat down as prompted, folding his hands together as he listened to the Admiral, though his eyes seemed to regularly look at the others present.

They were a specific team, for the unusual. That was his summary, from what it sounded at least. The ranking bit was more a matter of paperwork in his opinion, since they were more likely to be working with each other than normal troops. He did wander about the authorities it offered him though. If it was a higher rank, or a lower one, if compared to the types of jobs he was expected to preform back home.

Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red was a strange one. Seemed quite pleased that one of the others was here. He was also plenty willing to talk. And assert a question that Kren would probably have posed. Red's question also might prompt whether or not there was a leader among them. Kren didn't like the idea of obeying more people than necessary, but he was not about to suggest himself either. He knew there were limitations on his knowledge. And he was limited on how to best apply the skills of the others in combat given they were used to very different types of technology, skills, and knowledge.

He was less pleased with Leenic Ellsil Leenic Ellsil 's question however. His voice came out swiftly, rather than waiting for the Admiral to respond, "You will also be provided with whatever means or resources to accomplish your missions." he repeated the words of the Admiral while glancing at the man, "If he makes good on that it would require either re-supplying or re-stocking weapons or ammo."

He sighed, this was quite uptight. Kren was a soldier yes, but was this level of conformity necessary? The Admiral seemed rather at ease about how they spoke to him. Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red was very much casual. What need had he to keep up such methods. Didn't matter. "I don't think I'll need that bit though. My weapons will prove sufficient for me. Though I may at times require trips home for some things. I don't know if I trust all the materials to be obtained outside yet."

Jarred Ketzloff

The Immaterial Has Become...Immaterial
Director Ketzloff's cape flew as he strode down the hall. Officers and troopers moved around him nervously. In a few minutes he arrived at the conference room. He entered, and looked around the room. "Ah, Admiral Craig...sorry i'm late." He nodded to the rest of the group gathered. Jarred has just been promoted to Director of Intelligence, and had been given the direct orders from the Chairman to take charge of Task Force 66 as part of the Politorate.

Ben nodded at Red, "As of now, there is no defined rank set out. Because of the confidentiality of the task force, Directorate forces are not aware of your presence. You will be given patches or something of the sort to denote your significance. As for a commander within the task force, one of you will be chosen. You will be tested and reviewed, and the one with the best leadership capability will be chosen. More details will come later." Ben sighed as Leenic asked a question Ben had already went over. He kept in the back of his mind that he could possibly be a liability for not being able to listen. Ben nodded to Kren. Kren did seem to have a sense of authority wrapped around him...possible review later. "As I said weapons will be provided, but they are not required. You can use your own gear." At that time, another figure entered. "Director Ketzloff, welcome. No worries, we haven't gotten far." He looked back to the group, "This is Director Ketzloff of Directorate Intelligence. He will be taking over the Task Force as of now. I was merely the recruiter, i hope this does not change things, the Director is quite capable.

Rustbuckets will never go out of style.
Leenic glanced over at the man who had just entered the room and lazily saluted him. "I don't doubt it." Leenic said in response to Ben's statement. He then used his legs to lean his chair back as he placed his hands behind his head. "Well, I for one am anxious to find out what this mission's objective is going to be!" He then said, glancing back at Ketzloff. "So, since you are now in charge and holding my paycheck, mind explaining it?"

So, it seemed their rank was more a matter of situation than it was one a constant. In some ways, that could make easier. He bet it was a headache for some of the authorities he'd have to deal with however. Apparently, one of them would be in charge of the squad, as expected. The problem was who. He chose to make no comment on that.

However he turned his head as he heard someone enter, Jarred Ketzloff Jarred Ketzloff was introduced. It seemed Ben Craig Ben Craig was only a temporary measure for them. Well, he supposed that was reasonable. But he wondered if that would create more of a disconnect between the soldiers and the commanders. Then again, perhaps that was something they wanted.

Kren nodded his head to the man as well, "And I am Kren Vorak." he said simply. He assumed the man already knew who they were, but there was no reason not to at least make it known he was paying attention.

Jarred Ketzloff

The Immaterial Has Become...Immaterial
Jarred nodded to Ben. Ben had been in service to the Directorate much longer than Jarred, and he had risen through the ranks. With a spot on the supreme war council, he wielded a considerable amount of power. Jarred himself had risen through the ranks as well. His achieving the rank of Director of the ISB was nothing short of hard work and dedication to finding and eliminating threats to the Directorate.

Jarred looked to the mandalorian figure, "I have spoken to the board of directors and the Chairman. They are currently drawing up plans and missions for you to partake. Our goal is to eliminate threats before they become threats. This may be confusing, but to make it simple, we may be sending you to organizations and factions to spy from within. Remember that this is completely confidential." Jarred looked to each person, he hoped they were up to the task. If they were found out to be spies they would surely be executed by the other factions. "Hello Red, nice to meet you. A pleasure Mr. Vorak. The name of your first mission is called Plan Retribution. This has been created by the Chairman himself. As more information about the project is given to me i will relay that information to you. Any more questions before we wrap up?"
