A Kind God [Consumption of Hapes]

The days of gathering on the fringes of the galaxy were over. Scraping by and living day to day not knowing if it would be your last, moments like that were not fitted for a god. God did not scrape the bottom of the barrel for followers, no that just wasn't what would happen. Instead God had to aim big, he had to make a statement. God had to come down from the heavens and lay dominion to all he saw before him, it was simply the right thing to do. So one might ask where this grand statement might be held? Where would God go to usher in his new kingdom and gain a following?

Hapes, that was where. So many people looked to the planet as s beacon of culture and strength, a planet with a rich history of defiance when it came to opposing the powers that be. They had held off the old galactic empire and even now of days when slipping back into neutrality, they were as strong and proud a nation as ever. But that wouldn't last, not when Dredge had eyes upon the world.

For the first time in the creation of this planet, they would finally know true darkness, and that darkness would fall upon the capital.

Deep within the darkened alleyways of the capital city, a blackness stirred and slow began to step towards the light. It's evil presence oozed outwards and soon the figure of a tall slender force entity emerged from the shadows and into the light of day. Dark clouds hovered above and seemed to form out of almost nowhere until the sun was blotted out and a pale grey darkness hovered over the capital. People of all ages looked out towards the figure, some ran, others made emergency calls, but quite a few stood there in utter fear with their legs being unable to move at the sight of the raw malevolence that stood before them.

"My people, fear me not. For God is kind, and he is merciful." The force entity said as it took a step forward.

Instinctively flinching or taking a step back the crowd of people in the streets continued to stare at this force of evil.

"Welcome to the new world, one with meaning." Dredge then spread his arms apart as if he were a deity on a cross and raised his head to the heavens.

Now in his benevolent pose a flood of blackened smoke and trails of dark tendrils extended out from his astral body and started to spread into the group of people. In mass the evil that was Dredge spread among them corrupting and sinking into their flesh for them to become one with God.

"Spread my gospel, children. Be the savior this world needs." The clock had started, and what was on the table was Hapes.

It was the force that had called him to Hapes. Until a few days ago it had been nothing to him, a side note somewhere in the back of his mind with little importance to the greater picture. But then the dreams had started, nightly visions of a great darkness that was about to come to the world. Then followed visions in the daylight as well. Whenever Darth Abyss meant to immerse himself in the force, every time he opened his mind to listen to the echoes of past and future alike his thoughts were drawn to this seemingly meaningless world.

The Mindeater was many things, but he was a devote servant to the force above else. A vision as strong and clear like this one had a meaning, and it was the duty of one of the greatest seekers of knowledge to uncover it. So he had traveled to Hapes, mere hours before the self proclaimed god lifted his dark hand above the planet. Other than the common men and women Abyss knew what this creature was, at least to a degree. It was born out of the dark side, pure yet deeply twisted in its nature.

While he was still bound to the prison of flesh, his essence was not unlike that of the entity. A endless, dark void that consumed the minds and memories of those around it, his humanity lost to wander blindly and aimlessly through the wasteland of his mind most of the time. Soon he would leave this world behind as well, his path to transcended was near its end.

He wouldn't allow the being to consume him like all the others around him, but he didn't came to oppose it either. For now he simply wanted to observe, and mabye, just maybe, find an opportunity to contact the unbound spirit that threatened to consume Hapes. Rarely found he creatures that were similar to him in their nature, which made this dark spirit even more intriguing. Motionless he stood in the capital, just far enough away from the dark tendrils to not go toe to toe with the entity but close enough to watch as it began to eat away a world.

Black lines of corruption spread through the bodies of those who came into contact with the mist. Their bodies spasmed in pain until they hunched over in stillness. The initial group of individuals who had been dusted by the Sith Lord then looked up with crazed looks of gleeful menacing joy in their eyes, as if what they were about to do brought them the most carnal and basic pleasures that could be provided to one's senses. It was the look of a sheer and utter fiend; and those fiends quickly acted.

Once Dredge was in control of their bodies, the men and women infected by his influences ran towards others nearby to either pounce on them or chase the nearest down until they were pinned beneath them. The infected while laughing gagged and convulsed until Black ichor spilled from their mouths and and projected the corrupted fluid onto and into their victims to spread all that was Dredge.

Person after person began to fall and convert as one became two and two became four. But there was something else, something that drew Dredge's attention. Someone of power who dare stand near him, he'd have to look into that. For now though he had another task to complete, he had to get to the root of their government and destroy it. If he was going to be successful in his mission he'd have to cut the head off the snake before they got organized to stop any spreading.

So Abyss would get a front row seat to what the entity could do. He'd be able to see that they were nothing alike, and that Dredge was in a league above the puny Sith Lord. How would Abyss be able to see this? He'd be able to feel the shift in power as Dredge used the large Nexus within him to power up. The force flowed around the entity and soon changed into a violent hurricane generating raw tangible dark side juju just from his being. While Sith Spirits still had to draw from the force around him, Dredge considered himself God for a reason. He produced his own energy, he was a literal nexus that could create and power his infinite existence.

And all that power produced went to one thing. The entity increased its size and began to grow larger and larger. Three meters, six meters, ten meters, it grew and grew until it was on par with some of the buildings around it. Would it be easier just to move through the force and appear in the temple? Yes. But he was god, he needed to make a statement. So as Dredge continued to grow and feed off his own power, a corrupted man approached Abyss and smiled with that grin of sheer and utter madness.

"And what might you want, boy." The corrupted man made sure to put emphasis on the Boy part of the address to Abyss.

Her battered LL-1400 scoutship flew over the city, part of her search for the Jedi. As she was scanning her surroundings, she saw a large figure below her ship. "What the hell is that thing?" she said to herself. She lowered down the scoutship until she had to swerve between buildings. Eventually, she found a landing pad about fifty meters from the thing. She set down the landing gear of the ship, as it slowly touched down. Opening the ship's underbelly ramp, she walked out, keeping one hand on the blaster pistol concealed in her utility belt. She felt a slight breeze in the air.

"To observe."

Despite the things happening around him Abyss held no fear for the entity. Sure the being had walked far on the path to absolut power, but there was nothing in the galaxy that was truly omnipotent, omniscient or immortal. The right moves at the right place and even this monstrosity would fall apart, like the man or woman it probably had been before this day. There was much power to be found in the way of the force, but while it might seemed endless to the common people, a scholar of the sith was well aware that there were limits to it.

"I write down the history of our time, so it can live on into the ages beyond. The fall of Hapes and the emergence of a powerful force entity seems noteworthy."

Well learning something from the entity was also up on his list, but for now being a neutral prospector instead of bugging the being with questions about the force and existence itself looked like the smarter option. To make his intentions clear the sith lord reached into his robe for a notebook and a pen, writing down some pointless notes about this encounter. In truth he didn't planned to write it down just yet, but later by using his crown to relive the memory.

"I do not plan to interfere with your actions, at least if you fo not give me a reason to."

The creature probably thought itself powerful enough to not see him as a threat anyway. It had decided to call itself a god after all. But should it decided to attack him, he would use that arrogance to his advantage. Even the greatest could fall if they kept their head to high to look at their feet. A bit of cloaking himself in darkness, a few well placed runes and a handful of sith magic and even this thing could be undone by a less powerful, but very cunning man.

[member="Dredge"]

"All will become one under God, even you young scribe. Catalogue the events as you see fit, but know this. You too shall be consumed and brought into the new world, whether it be willingly or kicking and screaming. I will allow you to keep your free will today, so be grateful your God is kind. If you wish to continue our little talk simply speak and I shall hear you." The man said as he grinned at Abyss. The meat suit of a man then ran off to go and convert others.

As for Dredge, he had grown into a monstrous size. What was once a wookie sized man in the streets was reaching the height of a Zilo beast that looked down at the people bellow. But oddly when it took its first steps there was no noise, and there was no destruction. The massive figure simply moved through the city like a ghost. It stepped through entire buildings and there wasn't a single scratch on them. It was a note that Abyss could take that the self proclaimed God could not physically harm structures with its astral body no matter how large it was. Though that wasn't to say there wasn't a point to it being so large. When it did pass through a building or step on people, they phased into its body and it's pure corruptive energy seeped into their bodies in mass rather than having the other infected go off and track down Dredge's new followers one by one.

"No longer will you worship false gods and prophets. No longer will you need royalty or corrupt leadership. From now on all you shall need is oneness with your lord. Existence shall have meaning! Purpose shall be given to all! The absurdity of nature and the force shall be no more!" The creature shouted out as they continued to walk through the city.

On the horizon not far away was the palace on Hapes. The royal gathering spot of the Queen and the rest of the consortium, it would soon be where they would meet their end. Dredge would take them and introduce them to a new form of existence, a higher place where they would all fall into line. So step by massive step the entity approached the palace, he'd be upon them soon.

With his influence spreading across entire city blocks with each step, the capital city of Hapes didn't stand much of a chance. Unlike other developed worlds besides the capital the rest of the planet only had a very few amount of cities on the surface, and they were small ones at that. So when capital fell, the other would soon go in order rather quickly if they didn't evacuate soon.

Arrogance, exactly like he had expected. Not only that but a threat. But power wasn't linked with intelligence, or else [member="Dredge"] would've never allowed a sith lord to observe him. Every small piece of information he would gather today would work against the entity should it really try to consume him as well. In his head he already played through various rune clusters and spells that could imprison the creature, maybe even kill it if redefined right. But that was the future, not the now. As long he didn't had to fight it, he wouldn't but instead he would play along, act and lie his way through the fall of hapes, like he had done in so many other situations.

"Then one day you will learn that not every mind is so easily broken, and that some will remain unbroken. Also I know you are no true God and you know as well, even if you hold powers that make you seem like one. So why do you want to be one?"

Again he made a few notes, most of them simply gibberish, looking like a "young scribe". The question wasn't meant as an insult, it simply appeared nonsensical to Abyss to act like this spirit. In its current state it could do probably close to anything, yet it had decided to bring some kind of twisted happiness to the people instead of simply controlling them or simply consuming them. This creature believed itself to be kind, to some degree. If anything that showed how far the dark side could distort someone's vision.

Abyss own ascend to near godhood wouldn't nearly be as pleasant. While he didn't planned to call himself a god then, he still would become a dark spirit, an emissary of Chaos and not one of order. The sith Lord followed the beings part of destruction, watching the process with a slight, academic interest while making more notes, real ones this time. Understanding the spirits powers was the first step to understand the spirit as well. From there he held all the options in his hands. Abyss the Godslayer. Maybe that was one for the history books.

Well that was a mistake on Abyss' end. All the Sith Lord had to do was let Dredge bask in his own arrogance, just keep his mouth shut and make sure he could collect information on the entity for a later date. But he couldn't do that, in a way his own pride and hubris was his downfall in that regard. Because when you told someone who called themselves God that they weren't God, nine out of ten times it wasn't the smartest idea to say that they aren't. So Abyss had just gone from quiet note taking bystander, to public enemy numero uno with a few choice words.

Howls. Those were the next things to ring out around Abyss, and they weren't those of people out to convert and consume. They were the snarling vocals of stray, domesticated, and rabid dogs that were strewn throughout the capital. Turning around the corner a pack of converted dogs ranging from medium to very large and scary bared their fangs at Abyss. Slowly they moved their way down the alley with their eyes an odd hue of rainbow and their fur a shade of pitch black.

Behind Abyss there was a clanging noise and if he decided to turn around he'd notice a young Hapes street gang with leather bomber jackets holding pipes and clubs as they walked their way down the alley. Now would normally a group of petty thugs and a few dogs be a problem for a Sith Lord? Of course they wouldn't. But the better question to ask was this; was a group of petty thugs and dogs powered up on dark side juju a problem for a Sith Lord? The answer was yes, yes it was. This was proven by one of the gang members who lifted up a hand which was consumed in the ethereal flames of force fire, and a dog whose bark let out a slight shockwave in the force. There were no words exchanged. God had given him a chance and now it was time for penance. The crowds of hostiles simply rushed Abyss.

Dredge was still having a ball though. He had all but reached the palace and the guards out front were firing as much blasters, bombs, and bullets as they could into the creature. But nothing seemed to work. They all simply absorbed into the mess of black as his body moved through and converted them in mass. Inside the prize was ready to be taken and soon all of Hapes would be his, God had a plan and he was sticking to it.

June had to hide from the jedi. June managed to assassinate a jedi on Onderon. It was for proper reason though. He caused the death of several people "for the good of the Galactic Alliance". As if the lives of countless innocents are worth less than "the good of the Galactic Alliance". June barely made is off planet but she had to hide on the first planet she could find, which happened to be Hapes. June was in a cantina when Lord Dredge arrived. She didn't even notice anything going wrong at first.
"How much for the drink?" She asked the bartender, referring to the ale on the counter.

"Ten credits," He responded.

June put down the credits, but as she did, she noticed a funny looking guy come through the door. He looked extremely happy. He then vomited on someone sitting down. In response, June chuckled but then she noticed something. The vomit was black. June stared at them for a while as the one who was vomited on spazed out in pain until he suddenly stopped and weirdly had that same joyous look in his eye. The two then proceeded to walk over to two other people and vomit on them. The two spazed out in pain and once again had that joyous look in their eye. June kept a close eye on them and reached for her A180 blaster pistol and shot the four people.

June swiftly ran out the door of the cantina to find commotion and panic all occurring outside. She didn't know what was happening but she noticed that there were many people vomiting left and right. June was very puzzled as to what was happening. Was is an epidemic? A curse? Or perhaps it was the side effect of a terrible drug. Either way, it didn't seem like something good was going on. June quickly drew her A180 and shot everyone she could see with her blaster. She ran through the streets, looking for any sign of what was occuring and looked up to see a giant black silhouette ([member="Dredge"]).

June stared at it for a long time. What was it? Where was it going. She was so distracted, she didn't notice one of the joyous people walk us to her at first. When she finally noticed, it was almost too late. She drew her lightsaber and stabbed him. Granted, it was only a training saber but it is still very painful. June turned off her lightsaber and kicked down the person. She then ran after the strange silhouette, curious as to what it wanted, shooting all of the "joyous people" who got in her way.

As the massive creature said strange words, she backed up. Something told her to run. So that's what she did. She ran back into her scoutship. However, the engines were failing. The blob grew near. Soon she would be sucked into it. She braced as she imagined the horrors of being sucked in a blob.

However, it went right through her and the ship. But she soon felt a feeling... of joy. It was strange, but she felt a lot different. She felt like she didn't need her blaster. She simply dropped it and went out of the ship, following the blob. She walked by hordes of other people in its influence. Pushing by a couple, she eventually could see the blob clearly. She could also see a hooded man by the blob.

Her body started to glow gray, then black. Soon, she had lost thought.

The first reaction of Abyss was rolling his eyes. For a self proclaimed god this thing was pretty sensitive. The second reaction was to collect his focus. Fighting a path through the masses was an action that would end badly anyway, so he wouldn't even try.

"By denying what you are you only make yourself lesser. What use is there on lying to someone who already knows the truth?"

He allowed his words to hang in the air for just a moment as the mob approached him, then he channeled his focus. Not in some spell or attack, but into his abilities to hide himself. His physical representation was nothing but a shadow anymore, barley if at all to see through the corrupted eyes of those the creature controlled. His aura was gone as well, erased from the flow of the force. While he didn't doubted that [member="Dredge"] was far more powerful than himself, he was also certain of his skills when it came to make himself invisible in all regards. Force spirt, god or whatever else, nothing could see what wasn't there.

Slowly he moved backwards, his steps leaving no sound. He wasn't yet ready to run, instead he would use his cloak of darkness to hide and continue his observation. It was clear now that the spirit was a threat, and so learning, analysing and understanding it had gotten the most important task of the day. He needed to be ready once it decided to leave Hapes and continue his conquest beyond this world's borders.

Depending on how this would go he even had to be ready to end this today, but that was the worst case scenario. Again his mind played through a collection of runes until he found a combination that would at least allow him to keep the spirit in check to make an escape.

[member="June Slane"] [member="Nam Keeoh"]

There was one very fatal flaw that Abyss had overlooked in his attempt to run. Dredge had outsmarted him, he was god after all. How might HE of done this? Well it was simple, he brought dogs. Abyss could make himself as invisible to the force as he wanted, but to the combined power of almost a dozen highly sensitive noses, that really didn't matter. Abyss still had a unique scent and the dogs would track that as he attempted to run away. The corrupted animals weren't ones that a person simply ran from so easily, he'd need to cover his scent if he was wanting to escape them.

So they followed him, and as he continued taking his notes he'd hear a growling noise from behind him. While the dogs couldn't pin down his exact location, there was enough of them for it not to matter. Pure white fangs bared at him as they slowly approached the Sith Lord in a line. There was a slight pause of the calm before the storm, and then they struck. Barreling down the alleyway at full speed the possessed animal charged and then jumped towards Abyss with full intent to kill. Dredge had given him a chance and he continued to run his mouth rather than beg him for forgiveness. Not like the Sith would do that anyways, he was above such things by the looks of him.

Others on Hapes still weren't as lucky as Abyss, they weren't dealing with a pack of street dogs, they had the hordes of converted to face down. People like [member="June Slane"] who were drawing a lot of attention to themselves by pulling a lightsaber and showing their prowess with a blaster. She would make a fine edition to the collection due to her natural prowess in the force. Over time Dredge could mold her body and purpose to serve as warrior, most people he had possessed had very little to no force sensitivity and so when using their body and channeling the force through it, it tended to kill or damage them. But a natural like her would be just perfect.

"Don't fight me, my child. I am simply here to rescue you from your pain. From the absurdity of life." A man with blackened ichor dripping from his chin said as he approached the woman.

"Don't you want to be enlightened?" Another infected woman on Slane's side said as she approached.

"I simply want to help you. Do not fight this. Do not fight me." A young girl whose eyes had gone purely pitch black with lines of corruption running up and down her small body said as she sat down on a street bench near June.

"Look how happy everyone is." The man said as he began to approach her step by step.

"Don't you want to be happy?" With a demented smile splattered across her face, the woman drizzled black ichor from the side of her mouth and soon more infected joined the three in attempting to surround June.

Even then there were others in a worse boat than June. People like [member="Nam Keeoh"] who had flown through Dredge and gotten a heavy taste of his corrupting aura. Dredge had begun the infection process on her, and as her mind began to go blank and thoughts left her, she'd be all but transferred out of that ship and no longer be sitting in a cockpit but swimming in a black void. As she looked around she'd see the other citizens of Hapes afraid and scared huddling in groups within this world of darkness and fear.

"Welcome, my child." A voice rang in her head and soon a smaller version of the blackened monster appeared in front of her.

"Do not fear me, I am a kind God. I am here to save you. I see you fight my control, but it is meaningless. Soon my influence shall consume you and you shall join the collective oneness with God. You will be me and I will be you. We will be together for eternity. Simply give in and join a higher level of existence." The figure dragged its hand gently across the woman's face.

"Don't you want to be bigger than yourself? Apart of something larger? To be loved unconditionally by all?" Sweet sweet little falsehoods and lies.

In reality Dredge was fighting to take control of the pilot as her ship spiraled out of control. But in the world of her mind time tended to move slower as the unconscious mind sped up the thought process.

As Dredge spread himself among multiple people and places, the prime entity was looming directly over the palace. He was stretching himself thin at this point by holding this form. While it was certainly scary and imposing, Dredge had only eaten two small Nexus' and he required much more power in order to achieve his goals. This was also quite the learning experience for him, even force nexus' had limits on how much energy they could put out at once, and Dredge was pushing his. So rather than doing anything flashy like ripping the roof off the building, he simply leaned over and let his massive face and head phase into the building until it reached the open throne room where the queen and other politicians were preparing to evacuate the grounds.

"Hello." Dredge said as a wicked fang filled grin that could be compared to that of a Cheshire Cat spread across his face at the sight of the politicians and Queen.

Frozen in fear they all looked at the massive face and watched in horror as it approached them and in an instance it consumed them all in one large bite. The sounds of screams and the mashing of bones and flesh rang through the halls of the palace, telekineticly reinforced teeth made of light saw to that. Dredge didn't convert the queen and her puppets, he ate them.

She seemed to be Force sensitive, but untrained. As the blob spoke to her, she mindlessly responded. First, she pulled down and landed her craft. Then, she replied. "I will serve you well. I will be enlightened and will be gone from the pain of life. My duty is to you."

However, another feeling was growing in her. Hate. Hate for her pirate slavers who had killed so many. Hate for the pirates who often hunted her. At this point, she even began to hate the Jedi. They hadn't come for her. Despair. Her fears had turned into anger. Her fear of the slave camps, bounty hunters, and even the fear of the blob consuming her. Her worries had become fuel for that growing anger. Her worries that she wouldn't make it alive, that some bounty hunters would find her, or that the Jedi would never come.

She felt herself begin to change. Her black glow turned into a dark gray, then suddenly shifted into an orange. Finally, it turned into a red. Her eyes changed dramatically, the outside turning red and inside turning yellow. She rapidly began to regain thought. "I've had enough of this!!" she shouted. "I've had enough of this torture, that's been shaking me my entire life! I promise to end all who have brought this on me!" she yelled with increasing confidence. The blob began to shake. "I WILL AVENGE MYSELF!!!!!" she said in a supernaturally loud voice. A hole opened up in the blob, and she walked out, leaving the blob behind. She shot anyone who stood in her way on the walk to her craft.

Then she turned on the engines and started to rise. The ship silently took off, soon ascending above the buildings. Once out of the atmosphere, she turned the ship and prepared for a lightspeed jump.

Hounds. Really? With another roll of his eyes the cloak around him feel apart again as the sith lord got ready to slaughter the beasts the entity was throwing at him. It was obvious that he had enraged it, so why not go the extra mile and see how far he could go, how much mockery and defiance was needed until [member="Dredge"] would trip over its own ego. A laugh emerged from his lungs, a sound so dark, twisted and inhuman as the spirit that he stood against.

"Hounds can archive what you can not, and yet you call yourself a god? It would be hilarious if it was not so annoying."

Around his left arm red sparks gathered, while the red plasma blade of his personal lightsaber came to life in his right. Time to kill some dogs then.

The first one was greeted by a blast of red lightning from his left, a power given to him by another dark force entity called Soeht. Then followed a series of strikes with his saber. Hounds were dangerous without a doubt, but in the end they were still rather mindless animals and Abyss was almost certain that the spirit had not gifted them with supernatural intelligence. Wild beasts against a lord of the sith. He was outnumbered but it still wasn't a fair fight.

More of the hounds became victims of his merciless red sword, falling down on them with precision and efficiency but without any grace. As the last one came in range, Abyss almost reacted a moment to slow. Still occupied with killing another he didn't managed to get the plasma pierced into the beast, but before teeth could reach flesh a small metal knife jumped of his boot and into his left, catching the dog's head and brain mid flight.

"Honestly? I am not impressed."

Abyss stood, his lips showing the hint of a grin. It took more than that to kill him, anx even more to break him. Now he had to act fast. With the saber still active he began do burn strange symbols into the ground around him, drops of corrupted dog blood falling down on them afterwards. It would take him a few seconds to prepare the runes and a spell, but consuming a world sounded like a task that required some degree of focus.

June panicked as the first of the three came. She quickly pulled out her A180 and pointed it at his head. Then another came and she pointed the gun at her head. And then the last of the three came. A little girl. She put the gun down. Even she couldn't bring herself to shoot a little girl. June looked down for a moment, thinking about what the people said. Then she noticed something. They were all speaking as if they were one person. Was there someone controlling them? Could they be possibly tied to the giant silhouette?

June was so caught up in her thoughts, she didn't noticed that more of these joyous people started to surround her. One be one, each one of these people would connect together to form a circle around her. June reached down for her training lightsaber and ignited it. In one hand was her lightsaber and in the other was her A180. She spun around in circles, pointing her weapons on everyone she could see.

"I don't know who you are, but I'd much rather speak to you myself, rather than talking to these mindless slaves!" June called out "Who are you!?"

More notes for Abyss to take, even if he didn't get to passively watch the entity, actively facing its little minions had its benefits. Such as when he poured the corrupted blood onto his sigils in an some attempt to fend off Dredge. However that wasn't going to work, if he had previously taken notes he'd know that Dredge's essence was transferred via bodily fluids and a sort of black ichor that flowed through the bodies of each and every possessed person in his grasp. That meant dogs as well, and as such the blood from these dogs spread into his sigils and tainted it with his presence. His working was no longer his own, if he wanted to make a working piece of Sith Magic he'd either need his own blood or non tainted. Blood magic was a tricky queen in that regard.

"Oh Abyss, such tasty force energy you have." The thugs from earlier had caught up to the now visible Abyss and had begun to surround him.

"You should be proud, you'll be the first Sith Lord to join me and become one. Tis truly an honor, mortal." Another Dredge possessed thug said as it pulled slug thrower from its side.

"Never cared much for mortal technology, but I suppose it has its uses." The thug spoke and besides him another lifted up its hand covered in black fire.

"This is more my speed." Dredge chuckled a bit as the flame grew in his hand.

Each member of the street gang smiled madly at Abyss and soon they'd have a game plan to execute. After seeing what Abyss could do with the dogs, the foot soldiers rushed forward with pipes, axes, and whatever else they could find. They were the non force sensitive of the bunch whose bodies couldn't really pull off any force powers, which was another good note for Abyss to take. Dredge couldn't really pull force power into those whose bodies just couldn't handle it, it wasn't like he could artificially boost a person's midichorian count. So they'd rush in first to act as his pawns and distract the Sith Lord by being hacked to pieces.

Another thing that Abyss could notice was that those who could pull off force powers, like the gentleman in the back, his hand was beginning to burn. Not just any burn though, a blackened sickening stench of human flesh being charred as this power was summoned. It was as if the cup that was his body couldn't contain the raw amount of power that Dredge was placing into this charged attack, so for force sensitives he could boost the power at a cost of damaging the host. All good information to have when facing off against him.

It was also safe to assume the best course of action here was to run. As powerful as a Sith Lord might be, he'd be pretty screwed against never ending hordes of hive mind Dredge drones that could stalk him throughout the city either using the force or perhaps more hounds. It'd take time to set up runes that would hurt Dredge, not to mention finding untainted blood in this chaos. Best bet for survival was to run and fight at a later date when there wasn't so much going on.

Back at another area of the capital there was sheer chaos, Dredge's influence was spreading across the capital at an alarming rate and within a matter of hours the city would be lost. But that didn't mean [member="June Slane"] had to perish with it, God was kind and willing to speak with her on her current situation.

"I am God, my child." The man said as he took a step forward.

"The alpha and omega." The woman said with her twisted smile.

The beginning" The man said.

"And the end. I am the new world." The little girl stood up from the street bench and began to walk her way over to the woman with her saber activated.

The child smiled at the woman and the circle of people surrounding her with their manic smiles began to close slightly. She was surrounded and Dredge very much wanted to take the woman willingly. God needed Angels and he wanted them to serve beneath him not as mindless pawns but as sentinels of his will.

"Join me, my child. Join me and experience power the likes of which you have never known. Serve me and accept me as your own true lord and you shall know this feeling. You need not fall to your knees and beg, you need not hang your head in shame. To submit is not to weaken. To submit to a higher power is to be strong." The little girl's words carried some form of weight to them and Dredge knew it.

He also knew that he wasn't about to let a catch like this simply get away. He had converted the planet's government and now it was time to ensure that the remainder of the population had no escape. He had to see to it that the planetary shielding went up.

June stopped to take time processing what those surrounding him just said. She looked around at everyone around her. This "God" seemed to have caused an entire city to fall down on their knees before them. They were powerful. More powerful than anyone June had encountered before. Not to mention, they didn't seem to be one of the jedi. In fact, it seemed to her that they would seem to oppose the jedi.

June thought about it for a moment. With power that great, she and those under "God" could finally put an end to all jedi, sith, and more. With power that great, everyone could finally learn peace. Everyone would stop fighting. But would June sacrifice her own free will for power like that? For the ability to find peace in the galaxy? Perhaps she would finally do good for the world rather than killing and being despised in result. Perhaps she would finally have a place. Yes. June would sacrifice her own free will for power like that. Yes, she would give up everything for this. She did not know what this "God"'s plans were but June was willing if it would finally bring peace to the galaxy.

June sighed and dropped her weapons on the ground. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she stepped up to the young child who last spoke to her. When she got to her, she knelt down to get at her level.

"I accept your offer, 'God'. But only on one condition." June said "You must lend me your power. With this power I will be able to help you in ways I could not without it. It is one simple request. I hope you consider it."

Captain Huurlek rushed through the corridors of the Avenger until he barged into the quarters of the Grand Moff. "Sir! A Sith Lord is eating Hapes!" He gasped, keeling over with his hands on his knees; Graf looked over the rims of his reading glasses, previously divulging in a report on the re-discovery of the Scarif system. "Eating Hapes?" He queried, looking into the eyes of the captain, confused. "Yes, sir. He is using the Force to consume the essence of living beings. We are getting reports in from civilian and military channels." He said, straighting up and dusting off his uniform.

Graf put down the datapad and put away his spectacles, standing up the rather comfortable looking seat. "Deploy the fleet, set your course for the planet of Hapes. We are going to put those fools out of their misery early. That Sith is going to feel the might of a thousand turbolasers raining down upon him" The Grand Moff growled, following the captain as they made their way to the bridge. It took a few minutes but the ships of the fleet were aligned and they made the jump to hyperspace, en route to the Hapes Star Cluster.

"Done." The little girl said as she took a step back from the woman.

In almost perfect sync with one another everyone around June slowly backed away until a large circle encompassed her. There was a feeling of dread that would wash over the area, a sense that darkness incarnate approached them. With his business at the temple finished; Dredge who stood as tall as a Zilo Beast walked his way through the capital converting more people with his aura and body whilst he strode.

All around Jane the world was chaos. Screams of people being changed and turned rang out. Cries for help fell on deaf ears as no one would come to help these people, reluctant screams trying to stave off the end of their former, all of it was in the air with what this being brought to them. The capital was lost, there was no way that any force could come down and save these people without spreading infection and influence further. So the boys at the Remnant had the right idea, not that Dredge knew of course. Because the process of hitting other cities across the planet had begun. Already there were reports of shuttles filled with people spilling out into the streets to convert the citizens of Hapes. The Queen was dead and everything was pure madness on the planet.

And the focal point of that madness was now standing in front of Jane.

"Behold your God. Praise and give worship to me." The little girl said as she faded back and away.

The Zilo Beast sized shadow looked down at Slane and its grin stretched from ear to ear as blood stained fangs of light spread across its face. It's soulless white eyes stared down at her and when its maw opened a black smog of pure darkness exited and enveloped the woman.

Seeping into the core of her being it would burn and hurt like nothing else she had experienced, but with that pain came a new sensation. Power. Raw unfiltered power that hummed inside her. Her soul was now attached to the Nexus that was Dredge and she could feed off the limitless supply of energy that it supplied. The lines of corrupted formed on her then slowly lowered themselves into the subcutaneous tissue in her arm as to not be visible to the naked eye.

"Now leave this world, my child. Leave and find [member="Antherion"] for he is your fellow angel of death. Go forth." The massive shadow ordered the woman and would have her leave this world to find him.
