It was weird, but almost as soon as he left the Jedi Temple to move to Kashyyyk, he was back. The Shadow Temple was ultimately not much different from an environment to the longtime home of the Jedi, but the more “relaxed” atmosphere was more his speed. Not a knock on Coruscant, or the Temple, or anything, just a “difference” that’s all. In fact, it was a good thing that so many Enclaves were opening up. Some may argue that “they are only open for the sake of being open,” but Connel did not see it that way. He truly believed that, and felt that he was living proof that so many gave Jedi options. That if they felt uncomfortable or underutilized in one location, they could go elsewhere and truly find themselves.

Don’t believe it? Look at Connel.

True, he still has a long road ahead of him, but being in a place he feels comfortable has helped make him comfortable. Comfortable enough to finally take on a Padawan, and who better than someone he knows well. He brought a couple of NA-HK Training droids to the meeting with Ryana. One was in standby mode, the other was “playing” with Buster who was of course there (He was going to come and play with Pip and that was all there was to it.) , even if Connel had no intention of leaving him behind anyway.) He was stretching as he waited. There was no rush for Ryana to come, he had sent a message that he wanted to do this “today” and booked the room for the entire day, and there were refreshments(as well as treats)!

For once she didn't have to coerce pip into coming to a training session all she had to do was say buster was going to be there. And pip was happy to come with her plus she said there might be treats as she walked to the training room with connel pip was right beside her laser focused on getting to the room with both buster and treats. As ryana and pip got into the room pip let out a happy bark as buster ran up happily greeting pip.

Ryana smiled seeing the two little creatures greet each other before buster came up to ryana his butt wiggling as ryana picked him up as he began to wriggle in her arms as the akk dog licked her face she giggled. "Oh....I...love you too" she said as she scratched busters head. As pip pawed at her leg "have you been a good boy buster" she asked as buster let out a woof as he pawed her chest. She let out a chuckle kissing the top of busters head before putting him down "go play you two" she said as buster and pip ran off and began playing with the droid. She still found herself amazed that she could love two small animals so much.

As she walked up to connel her new master "hello connel" she said she wasn't exactly sure what kind of training this would be she brought her normal lightsaber and a training lightsaber aswell. The one thing she didn't have to worry about pip touching was a lightsaber he knew better it could maim him but she was here to train. And she would give it her all.

He was happy to watch her come in with Pip, not just for the reaction of the “terror twins” but that Ryana was just happy for the sake of being happy. It was actually pretty heartwarming to see how comfortable Buster had gotten around her and Pip. Slyly pressing a button on his gauntlet that shut down the droid “playing” with Buster to let the little buddy get scratches and lovin’ from the Twi’Lek.

After she put the pup down and walked up to him all formal, he suddenly tensed up with a smirk on his face and the most serious sounding silly tone he could muster. Hello Ryana.

Then he proceeded to snort.

Relax, it’s still “me”. Pressing that button again to reactivate the “playing droid” he looked at them for a moment as Pip gave him a look. What? You know I have grapes! You’ll get them in a little bit! Buster was all too happy to go back to roughhousing with the droid after a long drink of ice cold Elba Water from his dish. Buster then pounced on the droid, sending it flying across the room. The droid let out a small beep as it landed, before quickly getting back up and resuming its activity. Buster barked as he watched the droid dance around, and Pip joined in, chittering with delight.

With a laugh, he turned around. Okay… now that they’re occupied. This is going to be a simple, relaxing romp. I just want you to show me what you know in the way of skills with this guy here. He said, clapping the droid on the “shoulder” and pressing another activation button on his gauntlet. Show me what you know, and “bring it”. Trust me, this droid can take it. Have fun with it. This is meant to be fun.

This new path he was on was definitely having an affect on Connel in a good way.

Ryana smirked "what no I thought you became someone else since I last saw you" she said with obvious sarcasm. As she watched pip and buster playing with the droid she was glad connel got along with pip the small racyon had a way of annoying people with his antics. It warmed her heart to know pip would be in good hands if anything happened to her. Or atleast she hoped so as she watched pip and buster playing with the robot.

As connel activated the robot and ryana got ready to show him what she knew as she quickly got into a fighting stance she threw a couple quick jabs from about 6 feet away as bolts of fire shot from her fists hitting the droid. Like she was taught using her want to protect and a small amount of pride in her abilities aswell to fuel the flames as the droid was knocked off balance with the first strike then pushed back with the next two strikes.

As she prepared to show connel more of her skills she was going to use Telekinesis on the robot but saw pip and buster up to mischief as they tried to sneak up to connels back to get treats. As she used Telekinesis to lift the two miscreants and bring them to her "you two know better than to try and steal treats" she said as she two animals looked up at her. She couldn't stay mad at them "you two are lucky your adorable" she said. As she looked for the robot they where supposed to be playing with as she let the two go "pip what did you do with the droid" she asked as pip looked over at the droid that rebooted it's self and turned back on. Ryana sighed as pip motioned for treats "only good racyons get treats" she said as pip lowered his paws and his ears lowered.

The young Knight was well aware of the “terror twins” little plot to procure the treats in his pocket. He was going to turn and “catch” them at the last second, but Ryana had shown her own reaction time and it proved her awareness and that very skill of telekinesis. The flame was an interesting aspect to her skills, proving that the two of them would prove an interesting dynamic, her using flame and him preferable to water. Buster and Pip chased the droid around, barking and chirping with laughter, as the robot frantically tried to escape. Finally, the droid was able to escape and the two pups settled down, tails wagging and tongues panting.

Hang on... Walking over to the rebooted droid, Connel addressed the machine. Droid, I want you to give these two little ones a good workout. Pulling the grapes out of his pocket and putting in the right hand of the NAHK. The droid then held the grapes JUST out of reach of the two, yeah, he was still underestimating Pip, but what can you do?

With a laugh, he turned around. Okay… now that they’re occupied… again… He said, walking back to the edge of the training area. Anything else you want to show me? Doesn’t have to be combat oriented..

Ryana chuckled as she watched pip and buster chase the droid around sure it was disrupting her training but she was glad to see buster and pip enjoying themselves and having fun. It warmed her heart still to see that pip had such a good friend and she loved buster also sure they where a pain especially together but she didn't mind.

As she saw the grapes being pulled out of connels pocket and given to the droid she knew the droid would have pips full attention. For good or ill as connel walked back ryana she saw pip run straight for the droid with grapes "well pips getting grapes hopefully the droid tires him out first" she said. Before turning to connel and hearing his question "well I know plant surge and am trained in form 1 ship cho, and am familiar with form 2 makashi and you saw my skill with Telekinesis" she said standing there. Awaiting his response as she saw pip run behind connel following the droid with buster in toe of both of them.

While he did openly laugh at Pip and Buster with the droid, Ryana’s observation made Connel laugh louder. That droid’s power core will run out before those two tire out, probably.

Then as she explained what she was capable of, he wondered how she managed to this point. Father would have gone on an internal tirade about how she had all but been ignored training wise, but he was a “gym rat” so to speak. Alright, so you know levitation. What about this? Pulling a single “dog treat” out of a hidden pocket, Connel levitated it through the Force. Hey Buster!

Naturally, being a good boy and knowing his name, the Aak dog turned his head towards his hooman. Fetch? The word sent the little wigglebutt into a frenzy of hopping around and wriggling. A moment later, with a flick of the wrist, Connel sent it flying and Buster tore off after it. One could wonder the thoughts in his head… probably “Yeeeeaaaahhhh!” Giggling as he looked back at Ryana. You know how to “throw”?

"If only we could have the energy of those two we'd be unstoppable" she said somewhat jokingly as she watched pip and buster chase the droid happy as could be. If only life could be that simple for them as it was for their fluffy companions she was glad to have a teacher and was overjoyed that it was connel so that pip got more time with buster.

She listened to connel and watched buster get overjoyed and start jumping and wiggling for the prospect of playing fetch and getting a treat. She giggled herself watching buster getting so excited chasing the dog treat. It was adorable "that's how i wore buster and pip out while watching buster while you where recovering using the force to throw toys and dog treats for them to run and catch" she said. Standing there watching buster enjoy his dog treat she used the force to pull it from him in between bites as buster looked confused that the treat fell out of his mouth.

She moved it again as he whent for it making the aak dog growl and bark at it playfully "get it buster" ryana said playfully as buster grabbed it in his mouth looking satisfied his tail wagging. She then saw the robot run by with pip still chasing she was surprised he hadn't caught up yet but was happy he hadn't perhaps he would get tired and wouldn't get up to his usual mischief.
