"Ok .. then that is our path", she said softly looking down. It is a sheer drop down into the sink hole, not a large distance, but it will require a jedi jump. Something Iella is not that great at, and now she is carrying their children, she could not risk an accident with it. She removed her hand from his and placed it on his shoulders, her thumb gently caressing him.

"We need to jump down to the waters edge, I can't risk the children, if I do it on my own", she said. "Once down there I can easy scale the rocks to the water source". As much as this is dangerous, she is loving just being with him, here. Just the two of them working in unison and in a way .. being at peace. Her pregnancy is taking a toll on her energy, that she can not deny, but the force aids her and so does he. At some point, she will need to take a small break, but for now her purpose pushes her on.

Syn looked at Iella and gave a nod as he looked to her. The notion of her endangering their children crossed his mind but he also knew at times females could be more resilient then some thought and he held her while he flexed the force out around them to get an idea of where he needed to jump. The area and the sink hole became something for him to see, something he could map in his mind while he moved her hands to her sides and wrapped them around her. Then lifted and held her close. "Just hold on." His muscles tensed while he pushed the force into his legs to strengthen them and prepare, the true test would be holding her while jumping but that didn't bother him as much as.

He didn't finish the thought just jumped with Iella in his arms so he wouldn't second guess and pushed the force below him, pushed it to be a cushion and guide as he started to come down and focused. He kept the intense focus to protect Iella and wrapped the force around the pair of them as he touched down and crouched a bit lower while breathing in deeply through his teeth. He exhaled the same way while rising up to allow Iella to stand as he looked around. The sound of water and the distance from where he had been, he took it all in and let his senses flare out to keep him alert of the area around them.

She held tight around his neck as she could sense that Syn was about to jump. The force wrapping around them in the process and she could feel his strength in his arms as he held her. However, this did not stop her from holding her breath, a nature reaction to a dangerous move, but she knew she was safe .. the safest place in the galaxy, to her is his arms. She smiled at him as they landed and she heard the small hiss from his lips. He let her down and she stood by him, she took his hand and raised it to her lips and kissed his fingers gently, leaving her lips there longer then required.


Using the force, Iella searched for signs of life, anything immediate to them that might cause harm. Her concentration on the water and below, but she found nothing save for a few small creatures that did not have malice in them. "It appears safe to cross using the large stones in the water, I assume they may be slippery so we ... I .. need to take care", she whispered, she was not sure why she whispered, it was like she was in fear of being over heard, she wondered if the force was trying to warn her or tell her something, but she just could not grasp it. Coupled with this feeling she had the sense that they are being watched.

She looked toward the waterfall .. where Syn had saw the current and she began to climb to the first rock in the water, it was an easy leap to it and her footing remain sure. However the sense of being watched grew and as she proceeded across the rocks it grew more. She opened up a telepathic link to Syn.

I think we are not alone, but I can't point to the source of it.

He stood with her while she looked about, taking in everything she said and all that was around them. Eyes did feel like they were on them while he looked around with the force and he had to admit that he couldn't find anything yet but that didn't mean is wasn't there. He had met and felt plenty of things that could hide themselves from the force. It made the jedi master focus around himself while he moved to follow Iella and the path before them. With a look he thought about how best to cross he moved forward first. The lapping of the water and some of the force guiding him while he moved swiftly letting his balance on wet rock rely more on his reflexes and traiing. He offered his hand and gave a smirk. "Shall we?"

Her eyes darted around the landscape as she took his hand, however she could not help but smile back, "We shall", she said in return. She followed Syn across the rocks and to the other side, soon they are both on solid ground again, just before the waterfall. She could feel the gentle spray of mist from the water soaking her face, it is very refreshing now considering the rocky nature of the place. She should sense the life forms in the water, but nothing else, no bush or tree or blade of grass existed here ..

Iella began to climb up to where Syn had indicated an appearance of the current, she stood before it now and waited for him to stand beside her before she attempted to enter through it. However, before he reached her, a shimmer in force rippled through her body, a warning of something about to happen and her lightsaber sprang to her hand and she ignited it and stood ready.

Still nothing could be seen, but a strong presences now filled the area. She tried to locate it through the force but it is illusive but growing nearer to her. Then as if the rock divided by themselves, a passage appeared behind the waterfall. Out walked a old man, unsure on his feet as age had taken his body. He stood there and smiled a sad smile before raising a hand to indicate to them to pass and follow him. He did not say a word for the moment.

Syn had a look on his face as they stood there, moving towards the solid ground while he looked around. With the falling water he couldn't hear anything but the water gently misting on his face. He watched Iella climbing up to where the current was as he moved joining her. The illusion visible to his sight while he moved and something he could make out while she got up after her and then felt it. The eyes on him while it disappeared bringing a look to his face. A man he could now sense behind the illusion was approaching them and he moved a little forward putting his body in front of Iella for the moment so he could defend her. "Stay behind me in case of a problem."

Iella's eyes remained focused on the man as he walked back into the passage. "Syn .. he has indicated for us to follow him", she whispered as she came up beside him now. she extinguished her blade but keep her saber ready in her hand. She placed her hand on his arm as she moved forward toward the passage. Iella focused all her senses through the force to see beyond and into the passage. No indication of danger or malice, her blade showing her that there is no sign of the darkside. But still they needed caution as looks can be deceiving, an old man he might appear but history has shown that this does not mean anything.

As she proceeded along the passage, a strange light lit the way originating from deep within the place and bleeding up toward them. As she walked the light grew more until she could see into a room carved out of the rock. She stood in a entrance way, the walls around the room decorated with beautiful carvings of a strange language. This language seemed to cover the entire place, her eyes followed this around until they fell upon another door at the other end of the room. There she saw the man standing .. then he turned and disappeared into the darkness of the doorway. She hesitated, after the event back in the other chamber, she did not wish to place her feet on something to set of another trap. But something in her mind told her, that that would not happen this time. And so she walked toward the other door.

No light this time to guide them this time. "Come child", said the old voice of the man. "There is no danger and you need no light, do not light your blade but walk ... ".

Syn gave a nod of his head at the indication to it. He didn't sense dangerous intent from the man but he had also been deceived before from non dangerous intent. A smirk played on his face while he saw Iella go next to him. He moved with her as they went about and took in the chamber with the force. It wasn't much to him but he could feel the force and see the current around here while he listened to the man talking. The jedi master stayed his hands just showings a calm exterior. It was a hard thing to do since he was still expecting something bad to come and attack them.

Iella began to walk slowly toward the doorway where the old man had disappeared. It was strange, she knew the way as if she had been here before, but she had not. He was right no light was needed as she let her feet guide her, she was not even using the force for this. She could sense Syn close .. and wondered if he felt the same. The passage did not cut deep into the rock and soon she walked into an antechamber, much smaller than the last. Inside is an alter, simple rock alter smooth on the surface, she assumed from much use over the eons. For what purpose she could not tell. There is no designs on the walls in this chamber, save for a simple interlinked circle pattern behind the alter.

She approached, the old man standing on the other side of the alter beckoned her forward. Iella complied .. "Who are you?", she asked in a whisper.

"I am the last of my kind, a Priest of the Red Nebula and keeper of this Temple. My name is Duran Vos, guardian of the last Great Life Jewels". he replied in a grated voice. "I know why you are here ... I have foreseen it", to Iella's surprise he smiled at her as he said this. However, he raised his hand and waved it through the air, then behind them the door they just came through closed, again they are trapped, or so it seemed.

Iella's head turned slightly as her ears picked up the sound of the stone door sliding into place. "You wish to prolong your life child. The visions I have seen of a woman fair and with a good heart, although not perfect, comes to take the crystals. Over the years .. hundreds of years, many have come to do what you do now, and failed, some simply did not find this place, others did but did not have stomach to achieve their prize, falling at the last hurdle as doubt filled their hearts. However, I do not see this in you, in fact the force has willed this and you are to be the new keeper of the Great Life Jewels, I grow tired and wish to depart this world", he said as he reached down for a small box.

He placed the small box on the stone alter and opened it, inside is a red cloth which he opens and lays to the side revealing the two crystals. Iella's eyes look upon them, then she looks away. She is confused by his words .. that she is this new keeper, after she had come here to take them, in reality steal them and now this old man is giving them to her, to be guardian.

"The motivation for people to come here are always selfish, and you are no different, I also know your reason and it is as good as any", he looked toward Syn now. "My purpose for taking them was just as selfish and in so doing I lived a long life full of all the things that you have doubted about, questioned yourself about. A long life you shall have, but it comes at a price ... are you prepared to pay this price?", he asked her.

"My life is not the life that is important", she barely whispered and placed her hand on her unborn children. "I wish to live to protect the ones I love and care for, it is a price I am willing to pay".

The old man raised an eye brow but smiled in return. "Then take them", he simply said as he pushed the box toward her. "The responsibility is now yours, you are the Guardian of the Great Life Jewels .. when the time comes and you stand as I do now choose one that is worthy to continue the Guardianship .. .. .. Go Jedi and live a full life, I now prepare to depart this moral body".

Iella looked down at the crystals in awe, her hand reached out and covered them with the cloth and closed the box. She took it up with trembling hands and placed them in a deep pocket of her cloak. The old man stood and watched, knowing that when she walked away he would receive the fatal disease known as Crimson Forever. He waved his hand again and on the side wall a new door opened revealing yet another passage. He indicated for them to leave .. he would wait here for his fate, and it would be swift.

"Syn .. it is time to go", she took his hand and moved toward the passage, she turned once more to look at the old man., and bowed her head with respect. The walk through this passage, took longer but finally they reached the end. As they approached a stone moved sideways to show the light of day. "I don't know what say", she whispered again to Syn.

The man brought many more questions to Syn's mind but none more important then the implications about his visions. Those were not always the most useful he had come to understand and then was near Iella. The desire and protection of her was more important then the wanting for answers. He knew well the curse and had explained it to Iella as the sounds of what were coming. The man handed them over to Iella and it was time to leave as Iella led the way for them to leave. His hands went to hers and he gave a smile on his face, something to show he cared for her more while he pulled her closer to be by his side. "It will all be alright, we'll return and make sure these are in a secure place. Somewhere no one dangerous will find them." He gave her a smile while touching her hair. "Lets go home my love."
