Private A Field Trip - Ryloth

After spending the time to heal, recover and rest possibly looked stronger than when he first came into the Jedi Order. Kas was packing a few crates and other supplies into a Jedi shuttle available for a venture to a new world. He planned this for another to join him. Kept to being independent in exploring the Galaxy and with being couped up in the Medical Bay. Kas wanted to get a lot of fresh air and refresh his sights but this was not for him.

He left a message for a fellow Padawan Learner to come join him after they got permission and were granted to leave the Jedi Temple on Tython where he'd accompany them. He hopes this would be a good event for the other Padawan Learner.

Kas was with Caden and Seri who were helping him out with the packing of resources and supplies going into the shuttle.

"Hope she can come. This is for her after all. A way of showing appreciation and thanks." Kas said while loading supplies.

"I believe she will love it Kas. C'mon we're nearly finished packing." Seri said to him trying to keep her brother calm.

"Yeah Kas. In how you mentioned she has been here most of her life. It'd give her a break away from here." Caden said.

Caden and Seri were only helping Kas get ready and packed up for his venture away from Tython. Unless they were asked and allowed to join Kas in the trip. Might be nice and safer to travel in a slightly bigger group. The ship can house at least a crew of folk.

The wait continued for Kas while the trio of Larsens grabbed a crate each to put onboard the ship he'd be flying.

Valoria had received the message from Kas without error

The fact that he'd gone out of his way to gain her a chance to leave this planet spoke volumes to her.

It was a nice gesture, one that would stick in her memory for a long while.

Currently, she was making her way through the halls, headed towards the hangar bay. She wasn't sure exactly where they were going yet - Kas hadn't specified - but she definitely would take any option thrown her way to get off this damn planet.

The doors slid apart, opening out into the Hangar. Scanning the space, her eyes soon landed on Kas. It was good to see him up and about again, back into action. Almost fully recovered from his experience. Accompanying him were two others, who seemingly were helping him prepare the ship. There was no doubt in her mind that it was his siblings. The resemblance between them was plain.

Valoria approached them, a slight hesitation in her step. She was hesitant, not because she felt nervous or anxious, but simply because she was yet to properly meet his siblings and hadn't expected to be meeting them so soon.

With a polite smile planted on her face, she gave a subtle wave, just a simple half-lift of her hand.

"Hey Kas." She greeted him first, before briefly turning her attention towards his siblings. "Hi. It's Seri and Caden, right?"

Valoria could vaguely remember Kas mentioning them the first time they'd met, when their conversation had been around his family.

"Kas has been speaking highly of you." She added with a shrug, as a way to explain how she knew their names.

The doors to the hangar bay entrance opened and sounded off that alerted Caden, Kas and Seri when someone was coming into the vicinity. The trio smiled as the Twi'lek entered and stood with them. They finished up packing some supply crates inside of the shuttle Kas got together for the trip.

A smile appeared on Kas' face in which Valoria was able to go offworld and travel with him. A polite and casual wave to the Twi'lek as he stood catching his breath for a moment.

Caden and Seri came back out from the ship having walked down the ramp of it to be with Kas.

"Hey Ria. You got granted to leave and travel offworld?" Kas asked with the hope she was ready.

"Ah you must be Valoria or well, Ria! I am Seri yeah. Kas' twin sister heh. Spoken highly of? He holds high regards with you since that lesson he got. Thanks for teaching him." Seri nodded to Ria.

"Hey Valoria! Nice to finally meet you. Yes, I'm Caden. The youngest of the trio here ahaha. Heard you're a great teacher. Wouldn't mind exploring the Force with you some time." Caden said.

Kas watching the trio get along and greet one another. Probably best to ease off in considering bringing his siblings with him and Valoria on some activities. Let her be comfortable first.

VODvMcu.png

Her gaze softened towards Caden first, admiring the young boy's confidence with her. He couldn't be much older than her own sister was.

"If you ever need my help, Caden, you know how to find me. I'd be more than happy to help you if you ever need somebody to do so."

Her offer was genuine. If she could do anything to help any of the trio, she would do so with little compliant.

After lingering a moment longer on Caden, her gaze shifted back to Kas.

"I was able to gain permission to leave, yes. It took a great deal of persuasion on my behalf."

She couldn't wait to be free of this planet. She'd been here way too long.

"I'm honestly flattered that you'd go out of your way to do this for me."

It truly meant a lot to her. Her last trip anywhere had been over six months ago, and all she'd done in that time was wellow in self-doubt and shame. Her last trip had been anything but pleasant.

Hopefully this one wouldn't result in the same way. Valoria wasn't sure if she could cope with that.

"Where are we going, by the way? You haven't told me."

Valoria was curious. She was hoping it was someplace new, somewhere she'd never been before.

"Actually, before you say anything, if it's supposed to be a suprise, don't tell me where. Don't wanna ruin it."

At the moment, she liked the idea of a suprise. Later, she'd look back and wish she had forced him to tell her. If she knew where they were going she would have not agreed to go in the first place.

Caden was sixteen years old, a keen mid-aged teenager within the Jedi Order and confident that came from his upbringing back on Corellia. He'll appreciate any and every bit of Jedi training.

"Sure I'm always keen to learn and practice aspects as a Jedi Consular. Thanks Valoria." Caden had a smile on his face where he could learn from Valoria in the future.

Caden and Seri decided to leave the two with each other. They had their own Jedi training to stick with after having helped Kas get the ship packed up with equipment and supplies. The pair headed off through the Hangar Bay doors to wander inside the Temple hallway.

Kas smiled when Valoria revealed to him that she was able to travel offworld with him and now it was time to get things going. Nodded his head over to her acknowledged the answer she shared.

It was good to hear and see Valoria wanting to have some freedom from the Jedi Temple.

"No problem Ria. You visited me while I was recovering. Good friends do good things for each other. It's nothing really." Kas said with a smile to Valoria.

A few chuckles came from Kas where Valoria was curious to know but then caught up in the excitement that she changed her mind. Good. He thought as this is supposed to be a surprise.

Witnessing a more open and cheerful side of Valoria this was hopefully good in letting his Twi'lek friend come out of her isolated shell. He'd always be there as a close friend and support anyone else that needed perhaps another set of ears and eyes set upon them.

"You sure? I mean it is a surprise but I don't mind telling you Ria. It's nice seeing you like this. Seem a lot happier and hopefully more when we get there." Kas said to Valoria.

Kas was ready to go inside the ship but allowed Valoria to go in first. He'd pilot the ship and had the coordinates set in advance. An astromech droid and protocol droid onboard to help with other ship routine functions throughout the trip and time spent on Ryloth.

"Ready to go Ria? Need to get anything?" Kas asked Valoria while waiting.

VODvMcu.png

Valoria watched his siblings leave. There was absolutely no doubting the resemblance there. Hopefully they wouldn't get too bored without Kas around.

She entered the ship, allowing her eyes to wander. All things considered, Kas had got himself a pretty nice flight. Especially for a padawan. She waited as Kas boarded before following him to the cockpit of the ship.

"No, I'm sure." She said as she followed him. "Don't tell me. A good surprise will be a nice change from my current boring temple life."

It would be, provided that she found the surprise to be good. Which by the sounds of the way Kas was speaking of it, he thought it to be pretty good. And she was willing to put her faith in that.

"I believe I'm ready to go. Unless you wanted me to bring anything specific that I forgot? Did you ask me to bring anything?" She was fairly certain he hadn't, but it was likely best to check.

Her attitudes and mannerisms certainly seemed to be more positive now. They still carried that almost sad undertone that seemed to be ever present lately, but it was muffled, less prominent than it was before. It was probably the only time she'd felt certain of herself for a long time.

"Because if you asked me to bring something, I most definitely forgot it. But if not, then, yeah. I'm all set to go."

She probably could've said that in a much simpler way, but at the moment she didn't really care.

Valoria was just ready to get off this planet and get a fresh change of scenery.

Objective: Travel to Ryloth | Surprise Valoria

Kas waved to Caden and Seri before they completely left the Hangar Bay to leave Kas with Valoria. Entering the shuttle after the Twi'lek got aboard and headed inside where the door and ramp sealed, closed over.

Took a seat in the pilot's chair and smiled having the coordinates for Ryloth set up. Strapped himself in with harness belts and motioned over to Valoria she can co-pilot in their flight. Let her have some fun for a change.

"Alright. I won't ahaha. Take a seat, I'm gonna need a Co-pilot. Up for some fun Ria?" Kas said with a smile to Valoria. He wouldn't push her into anything she was comfortable with but let her enjoy her trip off Tython.

Kas thought back if there was anything Valoria needed to bring with her but the shuttle had plenty of equipment, resources and supplies if there was anything required. Shook his head over to Valoria in response.

"Hmm no nothing that I can think of. We're good to go Ria." Kas said to Valoria confirming they're set.

It was nice to see and sense the difference in Valoria when they had initially met. She was eager to get off Tython and no longer be stuck inside of the Temple. Kas fired up the shuttle's engines, hyper-drive and thrusters. He hovered the ship off the ground as the landing gear was reigned in.

The vessel flew out from the Hangar Bay after receiving clearance and authorisation. Kas piloting the ship out to Tythonian space and once the ship had made it off and out. He left it down to Valoria to punch it.

"Like to do the honours Ria?" Kas said to her with a smile as he indicated which buttons and levers to use.

VODvMcu.png

Valoria sat in the co-pilots seat offered, before reaching over to do up her own safety harness. Admittedly, a small part of her was nervous to be within a ship again, but she was willing to put some little faith in Kas's piloting skills. He wouldn't offer to fly her somewhere if he didn't know how to fly.

She watched in silence as Kas operated the ship, lifting it off the ground and out towards Tython's atmosphere. Valoria understood the basics of flying. How to lift of a ship, set it into hyperdrive, steer it without error. But when it came to the practical application of it, she was useless.

So when Kas offered for her to 'do the honours,' she was hesitant to do so.

But if he was comfortable with it, she'd be more than happy to help in whatever way possible.

"I mean, yeah. Sure. I'm happy to do it if you want me to." She said, returning his smile with one of her own.

"I should warn you though, the last vessel I flew ended up as a crumpled mess that had to be sent to the junkyards. Just so you know. Don't put any trust in my piloting skills. They're non-existent."

Valoria was joking, but there was a hint of self pity in her voice. Just a hint. Not enough to be worth questioning.

She followed Kas's instructions, flicking the switches the he told her to. That, at least, was something she could do without failure.

Kas smiled as he watched Valoria get comfortable while she took up space in the co-pilot's chair within his ship. Once the shuttle was out from Tython's atmosphere into its space territory Kas allowed Valoria to punch it. He was a well-versed pilot and spending time in the Jedi starfighter corps to become a Jedi Ace in time.

"Sure, wouldn't give you the honours Ria for nothing hah."
Kas motioned for Valoria to go ahead and watched.

When the Twi'lek joked that was good to hear and see in Kas' perspective where Valoria was more comfortable and relaxed being around him. Outside of the Temple this would be good to let her have some freedom she was desperate for some time by what he could pick up on.

"Ahaha. Don't be so hard on yourself. Why don't you join me in the Jedi starfighter corps sometime? I'm aiming to become a Jedi Ace. Sure it'll be great fun to learn to fly. Gives you more independence." He said.

The shuttle hit lightspeed and the two would find themselves leaving Tython and its space territory to then arrive in Ryloth space. Kas sent comms to the available spaceport and they got clearance to make a landing.

"Welcome home, Ria." Kas announced as he guides the ship down to arrive in the Spaceport. Gently touched down on the surface and killed the engines. Hoped that his surprise was a good one for Valoria.

VODvMcu.png

Valoria considered his words, but she found herself not too interested in learning piloting at her current point in training. She understood the basics, and in her opinion, that was enough for her to get by for now.

Still, it was very comforting to hear that Kas knew what he was doing. Made the unsteady feeling that they might crashed fade a lot faster than it would've otherwise.

Soon enough, they were entering the atmosphere of another planet. It didn't take Valoria too long to identify it. After all, it was a very familiar place to her.

Ryloth.

Her birth planet.

Why had he brought her here? The only valid reason she could think of for bringing her here was to give her a chance to see her parents again. But surely he had some other reason. Right?

It wasn't that her parents weren't nice. It's just that they weren't exactly loving. Not towards her, at least.

Valoria wasn't sure if Kas realised that about her family. From what she'd heard, his parents were simply the nicest people. There was certainly no lack of love in his family. But her's was a slightly different story.

"Welcome home, Ria."

Home was a relative term. She'd spent just over 3 years of her life here. Valoria barely considered this place home. It's more like her birthplace and the residence of her family. That's all really

She smiled at his words regardless. It was the thought that counted, right?

"Wow... That's so nice of you..." In his eyes, she saw exactly how this was meant to be a good suprise. And she could happily go along with it.

"I appreciate this. Really."

She hadn't seen her folks in a long while anyways. Plus, it would be good to see Gisele again.

Objective: Land on Ryloth | Take Valoria to her Family

Kas adjusted the course to make a landing down into a docking port and the ship he piloted hummed, made a few noises when the course plotted was amended slightly. The ship dove down from the black sky of space to enter Ryloth and descend down toward its surface. Reached the docking bay after clearance codes had been given and access granted by the staff within the Docking Bay.

"Glad to hear that, Ria. Well, want to go meet your family? I'm ready when you are."
Kas said to Valoria.

The ship was being powered down, systems were being put on stand-by while Kas was ready to follow Valoria out from the shuttle as the door opened and the ramped unfolded to touch the ground of the docking bay.

"Nice to be away from the Temple huh? C'mon Ria." Kas was exiting the shuttle going down the ramp to wait for Valoria to emerge out from the shuttle they travelled in and used.

He had never been to Ryloth before and hoped Valoria wouldn't mind taking lead while they were here to visit her family. Only taking a few items with him just in case all while Valoria was left to decide if she wanted to take any equipment or supplies.

Ryloth sure was different from both Corellia and Tython. Another planet for the books that Kas can say he went to and Valoria no doubt would keep him right while here.

VODvMcu.png

Valoria took a deep breath as Kas landed the ship, preparing herself for the ordeal that would no doubt lie ahead. Looking forwards through the front panel of the ship, she watched as her birthplanet drew nearer, not upset to be here, but not particularly thrilled either. Permission to land was granted, and before she knew it, she was back on the surface of Ryloth.

"As ready as I'll ever be." Valoria said in response to his first question. "Let's go meet my folk's."

She knew Kas would be in for a suprise when he met them. In many ways, she envied his family. It all sounded so... perfect. As though nothing would ever be able to drive their bonds apart. Valoria wasn't one to make assumptions, but she knew her parents would absolutely not live up to his expectations.

Valoria followed Kas down the shuttle ramp, blinking a few times as her eyes adjusted to the light. Despite her relations to this place, it was always nice to be back on Ryloth. Not once had she stepped back onto this planet and felt disapointed or downcast.

"It's a much nicer change, yes." Valoria agreed, a small smile gracing her face. "Was getting sick of being cooped up in that place."

She sensed Kas's hesitation, and understood the cause of it.

"You've never been to Ryloth before I take it?" She said as she took a moment to figure out exactly where they were. One of the main docking bays, it seemed, the one on the closer side to where her people lived. That was fortunate. It would save them a lot of time.

Valoria had decided against grabbing any additional equiptment. She had what she needed on her person already, and if she did need anything else, she would know where to get it from. For now, she figured they could just follow the flow of people out of the hanger, and figure out where to go from there.

"Stay close." She told Kas, despite it being the obvious thing to do. Ryloth, all things considered, was a fairly respectable place. But you could never be too safe.

The ramp folded up into the ship hull and then the door closed over as the two left the shuttle. Kas stood with Valoria ready to embark on a little trip through the city streets. Smiled over to the female Twi'lek Padawan.

"Glad to hear it Ria." Kas nodded his head over to Valoria. "Be good to meet your folks."

Kas was pleased to see Valoria more free and relaxed compared to when the two first met each other back on Tython. He checked his gear over and didn't find that he'd need anything else for the trip he was about to embark on.

The young Jedi looked back to the J-1 Shuttle and then over towards the corridor filled with other varied Twi'leks. This was perhaps the first time that Kas visited and ever been to the planet Ryloth.

"Ahaha don't worry. We'll take our time and enjoy some freedom from the Temple." Kas said to Valoria reassuring his friend and had a smile at the corner of his mouth. "Yeah this is my first time here Ria."

Kas would allow Valoria to take point and lead the way around Ryloth to locate her family. He didn't find this planet to be hostile but wouldn't lower his guard. Not having been here before meant Kas wasn't familiar with anyone or anything from Ryloth besides Valoria herself.

"Alright. On you Ria." Kas said to Valoria and got ready to follow her.

VODvMcu.png

Valoria wasn't too suprised to find out it was Kas's first time on Ryloth. The galaxy was a large place afterall. To go everywhere and see everything would take a single person a very, very, very long time.

At his confirmation that he was ready, Valoria made her way into the flow of Twi'lek's, making sure she didn't get seperated from Kas. Most places weren't this busy. Certainly not in the area she was from. Being one of the main way one and off Ryloth, however, it was expected that this place would be busier than most.

She inhaled as they stepped outside the hanger, the humid air almost having a thick feeling to it. It was certainly a vast change to the fresh, crisp air found on Tython, but she didn't find the change in air quality to be the slightest bit off-putting. Rather, it was almost welcoming. In it's own way.

"We're in Lessu right now." Valoria told Kas, speaking back over her shoulder, just audible over the crowd. She fell back slightly so they could talk properly. The crowd was starting to thin anyways. "My family lives about thirty minutes beyond here, in a small farming village."

They would have to hire a speeder or something.

"We can head there now, but I'm guessing you'd want to take a while to have a look around here? It's fine, my family can wait. They don't even know I'm coming yet."

Valoria knew, whenever she went to a new planet, the first thing she wanted to do was take in the sights of the place.

"Ooh, there's a good little shop just down the block that I used to go to with-" She cut herself short.

Go to with her master. Valoria paused for a moment as she pushed those thoughts away. She was in a relatively good mood right now. She didn't want to ruin it.

"...That I used to stop by whenever I came to see my parents. They sell some of the freshest munch-fungus there. Feels like forever since I last had one. Have you had them before? It's very common around here. We can go get some for you to try if you'd like?

It has been great to arrive on Ryloth, a new planet, new culture and new people to experience while visiting the famed Twi'lek occupied world with his friend Valoria. Kas followed her lead as they exited out from the Hangar Bay to venture into Lessu. He listened to the female Twi'lek while keeping close and up with her.

A bit of a homecoming for Valoria that Kas thought it'd let her be herself only him being another Jedi that'd witness Valoria letting her true self come out. Respecting the friendship in taking Valoria home and then eventually going to see her family, her parents and younger sister once the two were ready.

Kas nodded his head that Valoria explained to him that they entered Lessu and it was fun to see her walk down memory lane. He could tell that as she was explaining a nearby shop she visited that the Twi'lek was definitely basking in the homely atmosphere that brewed within her and around where she was standing.

"Lessu huh. Never been here before but it is nice. Got a little busy back there when we first came in." Kas said while noticing that the crowd was decreasing in size. "Oh good not too faraway from them ahaha."

Back in the J-1 Shuttle there was a X-34 Landspeeder available if Valoria deemed it fit to use the vehicle for extended travel on the planet. Maybe Valoria might recall it when they're ready to travel to the village.

"Hey, I don't mind what you want to do, Ria. It's your home after all, just be yourself ahaha." Kas said to Valoria where it is up to her in what they do. "On you Ria."

When Valoria was mentioning a shop she used to visit and had a slight pause before finishing it off. Kas smiled and was happy to go to the shop that she was considering paying a visit to.

"Well, I'm up for going to this shop. Sounds like somewhere I'd miss out on from what you're describing ahaha." Kas said with a smile on his face while he waits for Valoria to decide on the options.

VODvMcu.png

Valoria smiled at his answer.

"I was hoping you'd say that. I don't imagine it being someplace most visitors would go out of their way for, it's one of those small places you only know exists if you've been around here many times."

She was really glad he was happy to go with her. Truthfully, munch-fungus was not one of the most exotic foods to exist. It was pretty standardised for Ryloth. But Valoria always made sure she got some whenever she came here. It was a habit of comfort. Allowed her to truely feel like she was back home again.

Of course, her parents would have some back at their place, but it was always served it in a loaf, and her mother wasn't exactly the most profound cook. Best for Kas to taste the good stuff before he got turned off it forever.

Valoria led the way, seeming far happier than she'd ever seemed back at the temple.

It was nice to be accompanied by someone who'd never really been here before. Whilst she wasn't looking forward to the family-visiting part of the trip, she was truly grateful for Kas having gotten her out and about again. The distraction from her worries was welcomed gladly.

"It won't take too long to do this, promise. And if there's anything you want to see or do before we leave I'm sure we can totally do it. Lessu is probably the best place for seeing any sights, but the smaller villages is where you really see the culture best."

She was starting to feel a little more like herself. Before her life went completely downhill, Maya had struggled to keep her quiet whenever they weren't in a serious situation. It had been a long time since she'd been that talkative.

"I'm not sure how much you know about Twi'lek people, most people know a bit about them, considering they're one of the more well-known species in the galaxy. My folks live in a small farming village. Food can be hard around here, as growing conditions can be rather harsh. But most of us can get by just fine."

She could go on, but she had a feeling she'd bore him. Besides, they were almost at their destination.

"Do let me know if I'm rambling too much. I can be quiet if you want."

Kas grinned to Valoria after he gave his answer that was rather nice for him to hear. This was good to see the female Twi'lek not being quiet or shy. Just being herself around him while she was home in a better environment.

"Sometimes the little aspects in life produce the big impacts that we can treasure and value. Home to anyone is a place of comfort, you are familiar with and grew up in. Let's go Ria." Kas said to Valoria.

The young Corellian Jedi was glad to see that his surprise in taking a close friend to her home world being comfortable and relaxed. No pressure fr0m anyone or anywhere. He'll be sure to make it a recommendation whenever there were times coming back to Ryloth. The munch-fungus would be the go-to dish to have.

Kas was able to feel and see how much happier Valoria was and this brought happiness for him that his friend did have personality and being unrestricted from Jedi doctrine habits.

It appeared this trip was going well so far and Kas would always be there to support Valoria as a close friend would do whenever times got tough. He knew somehow that she needed some freedom from any stress.

Kas followed after Valoria as she continued to lead the way around Lessu and heading for the shop she spoke of about getting his first taste of munch-fungus dish she spoke highly of.

"Hmm so the agricultural aspect of residing is a challenge sometimes. I see maybe something can be done about that in the future? I mean governments like the Alliance or Republic should be encouraged to resolve issues and make living a lot easier for their people." Kas didn't dwell too much into politics but a basic level.

In hearing about hardships on various planets, systems and worlds when governments form into the one banner he'd think that resources and such would be a priority. Done in the appropriate and right forms though. Kas understands that greed is dangerous and fighting over who gets what can be conflicting.

"Ria we've got plenty of time. I'm happy to see places you enjoyed when you were last here. I brought you here as a treat - let you be yourself. Have some enjoyment and freedom for a change." Kas smiled to Valoria.

It was great that Valoria was opening up and talking away to Kas. This to him, was the real and true Valoria he wanted to hear and see. Hopefully this trip helps Valoria be able to grow more as an individual and Kas would be here for her as a close friend to support her through any obstacles she confronted.

"I only know Twi'leks by seeing and hearing about them in my own encounters and experiences of their presence throughout my life-time. Like I've said to others; I'm always keen and open to learn anything and everything that I can Ria." Kas said to Valoria while keeping up with her as they travelled together.

One thing his parents; Ajax and Elah, had always advised Kas was to be open-minded whenever and where ever he went in his life time. There were no indications or signs that he was getting bored of Valoria rambling on in fact he was eager to hear and learn more from her.

"Ahaha don't worry you aren't rambling. Like I said earlier, just be yourself, I'm not here to judge you, Ria."

VODvMcu.png

Valoria glanced across at him, head tilting to the side slightly. It was interesting to her that his mind went straight from the idea of a lack of food, to the thought of getting the Republic or Alliance directly involved. To her, that said a lot about his character.

"I'm sure the Alliance is doing all they can to help. It's not like people are starving to death or anything. There's enough food to get by on."

Obviously, conditions weren't ideal, but the situation could be way worse than it was.

She guided them left, off the main paths into a smaller, less noticeable route. It was mostly empty down here, save from a few local Twi'leks who passed by without a second glance in their direction. Small shopfronts were set up outside people's doorsteps, selling a large variety of items.

"It's good to be keen to learn." Valoria commented. "If your mind is not open to new knowledge, you certainly won't make it very far in the galaxy at all."

That much was true. Especially within Jedi initiatives. Closing your mind off was literally one of the worst things you could do as a Jedi. It completely limits you, holds you back every way possible.

And maybe she'd been closing off her mind for longer than she'd like to admit.

As usual, Valoria put those thoughts aside to deal with later, when she was by herself and in a comfortable space.

"I appreciate this, you know. You're right in saying I needed some freedom for a change. It's nice."

She hadn't expected to be so glad to have returned home. The familiar sights and sounds were comforting after her months spent at the temple. In fact, he could've taken her to any other planet and she'd still be just as glad to be someplace different.

"The place is just up here." Valoria said, slowing their pace as they approached.

It was only a small storefront, nothing flashy, just nice and simple.
"Doesn't look like much, but once you've tried the soup, you'll understand my hype. Or maybe you won't. Because it is still Munch-fungus. And most of the foods I've tried everywhere else in the galaxy have been leagues better than munch-fungus. But this is the best munch-fungus soup you'll get around here."

Kas listened to Valoria when she responded to him thinking that the Alliance and Republic could get involved to help the people of Ryloth. If there's a need Kas would do his best to be of help for others. Big or small.

"Yeah, just when you mentioned that I'm unsure if Ryloth is apart of the Alliance or Republic yet. I'd do anything to help out Ria." Kas said to Valoria about the subject.

Kas followed Valoria down a small, less commonly noticed route within Lessu, casually nodded and waved to passing locals of course majority being Twi'leks. It was different from what he knew on Corellia the small-front shops set-up at doorways and such. The items available for display and purchase were interesting.

"Yeah definitely Ria. Being narrow-minded in life won't get you far. Jedi or not you'll need to adapt in life generally. Probably more crucial for Jedi to be open-minded as they help and protect others." Kas replied.

It was one piece of advise his father and mother had said to him, Caden and Kharis before they began their time as attendees in CorSec Academy and prior to leaving for the Jedi Order. He and his siblings would be representing his parents that left an impact and marks within the Galaxy as Jedi Masters.

Sometimes there will be moments to not get completely involved as one can't do and be everywhere. Wishful mindset but doing what one can is all most would ask for. A thought that ran in Kas' mind.

"I'm glad to hear that Ria also it is good to see it. You are more comfortable and relaxed ahaha. Never be any different from your true self. Just be you." Kas said to Valoria with a smile on his face.

Kas was delighted to hear that from Valoria and it was true to his words said, this was nice to see and witness. He's glad to have thought of the field trip and allow Valoria to accompany him. Kas would be open to invite Valoria to other planets and systems he'll be visiting whether it is for training or missions.

Now they reached the store that Valoria was leading them to and Kas was excited to try the munch-fungus soup that Valoria hyped up. He did have spare credits available to perhaps something for her to remember the trip and time spent here together as a token of their friendship.

"Hey, I'll knock it back ahaha. I'm looking forward in trying this munch-fungus soup. Maybe we can take some back to the shuttle when we're ready to leave Ryloth huh." Kas smiled as they approached the store.

He does prefer facilities being simple, nothing fancy or complex just direct and straight to its purpose. Kas offered a bunch of credits for Valoria to use for payment of their orders.

Kas was just so easy for Valoria to be around. He didn't seem to care if she talked a lot or acted like herself. He seemed happy to simply be within her company, here on Ryloth. That's one of the reason she could be herself with such ease right now.

"I feel more comfortable, without the Order breathing down my neck all the time."

She wouldn't admit it to him, or anyone for that matter, but lately the New Jedi Order had really been getting under her skin. She was starting to realise that maybe they weren't everything she believed they were as a child.

When Kas offered payment, Valoria considered trying to straight up refuse the offered credits, but she had a feeling Kas would insist on her using them regardless, so there was really no point. Instead, she just took them graciously.

"You didn't need to do that." She said, taking the credits off him. "But thanks."

Credits in hand, she approached the small storefront, smiling to the lady who stood off to the side, tending to a pot of something. Presumably Munch-Fungus soup. The lady took a moment to put a lid back over it, before coming over to serve them.

"Valoria, kyla, cha ne fe'ti. Pe toma?" (Valoria, hey, it's been a while. How are you?)

"Afa'm ozanta arni. Can afa sota pleen serves ' munch-fungus narsu?" (I'm good thanks. Can I have two serves of Munch-fungus please?)

"Ka, koahiko." (Yeah, no problem) The lady moved back over to the pot, taking out two bowls. She continued to speak as she did so. "Uza reason qato maya setan koa hlaari plee tun today? Tun pleen usually hlaari circaa plee zen kocci." (Any reason Maya's not here today? You two normally come together.)

"Koa, koa. Ash just, uh, setan koa hlaari." (No, no. She just, uh, didn't come.)

Valoria hadn't expected the lady to know her well enough to ask her about Maya. But apparently, they'd been here a lot. The conversation died down after that. Valoria paid for the two servings, thanked the lady through her Lekku before returning back to Kas with the two bowls.

She wasn't entirely sure how much he understood, but she knew he would have at least picked up on Maya's name. Her mood, once she returned, seemed a little duller. She was still happy, but at the moment there seemed to be a bit of a thorn in her side.
