Kas continued to follow Valoria down the route, a side street and he was taking in the environment as well as the people here, them being Twi'leks of course. It is good to experience another world in his ventures and nice to hear and see Valoria not being quiet or stress out by anyone or anything.

"Well that's good you're more comfortable. Jedi Order being on your back? How come? Don't have to tell me if you don't want to Ria." Kas said to Valoria.

Handed over the credit chips to Valoria as they stood at the store front together and ready to receive their order of the munch-fungus soup dishes. Kas was able to smell the inviting scents coming from the store kitchen.

Kas did wonder what Valoria was referring to about the New Jedi Order being on her back most of the time. It left him thinking that perhaps a few things had happened even before his time coming into the Jedi Order.

"Ahaha hey it's my treat for you, Ria. It's what good friends do." Kas said to Valoria. He respected and trusted her in being a very close and friend ever since they met, hung out with one another when they could.

Politely Kas stuck close-by Valoria but gave her personal space when she went to the woman who owned the store front. Noticed the pot being stirred and the lid closed over it as Valoria approached the other Twi'lek woman.

Not able to determine what the two Twi'leks said but respected their culture in letting them speak their native tongue to one another. It was pleasant to hear and see Valoria be right at home as if she didn't leave.

"Ah thanks Ria. It does look and smell good ahaha." Kas said as he took one bowl. "Everything alright?"

Kas noticed there was a slight change in the atmosphere between the pair but he'd respect if Valoria didn't want to open up and share. No harm to him or anyone as he'll keep anything said by his friend confidential.

"Who is Maya, Ria?" Kas asked Valoria while he was ready to dig into his munch-fungus soup.

Valoria's body tensed at his question. She shouldn't have brought up the temple or anything in the first place. Her answer didn't come straight away. Instead she lead them a short distance away from the storefront, towards one of the few benches in the street.

How did she answer? Valoria wasn't entirely sure. She didn't want to lie to Kas. But she wasn't ready for the truth yet either. Taking a seat on the bench, bowl between her hands, she rested her head back for a moment before answering.

"Maya is an old friend of mine. A mentor." She didn't specify that Maya had been her master. "I was close to her, but she's moved on in life now."

It wasn't an outright lie. It just didn't tell the whole truth. Only as much as Valoria could bear to say. She was still in the process of coming to terms with what had happened. People said that talking about it helped, but Valoria had found it simply caused you to re-live the pain.

She picked up the spoon from the bowl, idly stirring the liquid held within it. It was not a comfortable topic for her at all. Although she was almost inclined to say more. Kas had been so supportive with everything else so far. She knew it would be the same case with this.

But the more she thought about it, the more she wanted to shove it back into the depths of her mind and ignore it until it came to the surface again. In the end, that's the decision she decided to make.

"Everything's alright though. Completely fine. I just miss her sometimes, that's all." Valoria forced a smile back on how face. "Now, are you gonna try that or are you just going to let it go cold?" She asked, refering to the munch-fungus soup. Clearly redirecting their conversation towards something less emotive for her.

It wasn't that she didn't appreciate his concern. It was simply confronting to her. She prefered to avoid considering it entirely. Except it was on her mind more often than she realised. Hence why she'd always felt so disconnected lately.

Kas noticed it through the body language coming from Valoria and the little detail of her delaying her response to him as she led him away from the Store front where they got their munch-fungus soup. He followed his Twi'lek female friend off to a set of benches to sit down upon.

The Corellian Jedi found a bench to sit on with Twi'lek sat opposite of him. Held his bowl of the soup within his hands as he got comfortable took his seat on the bench. Kas waited for Valoria to respond as they sat together.

"An old friend? Huh must have been a good teacher to you. Moved on in life?" Kas raised a few questions but he wouldn't expect Valoria to answer him openly yet.

Whether Valoria was completely opening up or not Kas wouldn't probe too much with any more questions. There was a brief moment of tension he was able to take notice of before they sat down at these benches.

He picked up his spoon and slid it into the bowl to gather up the contents of the munch-fungus dish that Valoria had hyped up about. It did smell good, looked delicious and fed himself the first mouthful to taste.

Kas smiled as he chewed and gulped down the contents of the munch-fungus soup while relaxing for a brief period with Valoria sat opposite to him. Nodded his head over to the Twi'lek female, approved of the soup.

"Alright alright. There I tried it Ria ahaha. It's good never tasted a soup like this before." Kas said to Valoria with a chuckle. "Well always treasure the memories you have with them Ria. Never forget the good times."

Kas continued to enjoy the munch-fungus soup in scooping up more spoonful's all while he'd be here for Valoria in case she wanted to open up further about Maya and any details of her past as a Jedi before he came to the New Jedi Order. He is a close friend and willing to support her whenever, where-ever possible.
