The Ord Mantell Provisional Authority formally requests immediate Jedi assistance in response to a rapidly escalating and unexplained crisis affecting the Ord Mantell system.
Ord Mantell is a densely populated world, home to numerous cities, industrial districts, scrapyard settlements, and independent townships spread across the planet's surface. While the world has long endured crime, piracy, and political instability, recent events exceed all known historical patterns.
Over the past several standard months, a growing number of civilian and commercial vessels have vanished while operating within the system or along its primary hyperspace routes. In parallel, entire surface settlements—ranging from outer scrapyard towns to established urban districts—have either gone silent or been discovered destroyed. In several cases, there are no survivors, no distress signals, and no clear evidence of conventional military engagement.
Witness testimony is limited and inconsistent. Reports describe sudden attacks, overwhelming fear responses, and devastation occurring with alarming speed. Some survivors speak of phenomena that defy standard tactical explanations, leading investigators to suspect the involvement of a volatile Force-sensitive presence or a highly organized group operating beyond known pirate or criminal norms.
Local security forces, private militias, and contracted enforcement agencies have attempted to intervene with minimal success. Negotiation efforts have failed due to the absence of identifiable leadership or clear demands. Direct engagements have resulted in unacceptable losses and the further abandonment of vulnerable population centers.
Given Ord Mantell's strategic importance, dense civilian population, and the potential involvement of Force-related activity, we respectfully request Jedi intervention. The Authority seeks assistance in the following capacities:
