Vask
The Extremist
Coruscant - Plaza Sector Four
Walking the streets of Coruscant Vask couldn't help but feel like he was left of home. The two worlds had much in common, aside from being Ecumenpolis'; the disparity in wealth that could be found in it's citizens, the diversity of people, the ever present and almost constant flow of crowds and vehicles. Billions upon billions continued their lives every day upon both worlds, some thriving, others constantly falling into deeper despair.
It had always been this way, least as long as anyone could remember. Never changing even as the faces of those in charge did.
Jedi, Sith. Republic or Empire. Coruscant had a way of surviving.
That was what made it such an excellent place to hide. One person among literal trillions was like finding one specific needle in a factory that just happened to make needles. The task was nearly impossible even for those who ruled here. The city, as vast as it was, had too many buildings, too many nooks and crannies, too many places to hide. Coruscant was an impossible maze. One that no one had the solution to.
Which was why it had taken him nearly a year to find former Colonel Pelk Denwith. The louse had managed to hide himself away on Coruscant for nearly half a decade now. Tucking himself safely away under an assumed name while working for some sort of logistics company owned by an affiliate of the Sith now running the place. Finding him had been nearly impossible, and in truth Vask had honly managed it because of the others he'd already tracked down. Even the most disciplined of Officers were still human, and humans like all other sentients, craved some form of connection.
Lucky for Vask, Denwith sought that connection with his old friends. From that point of contact, tracking him hadn't been all that difficult, even here on Coruscant.
Of course, finding him had only been the first stage in killing the man.
Which was of course, why, in the middle of the night Vask now found himself slowly scaling up the side of a building. His mag-boots clamped him to the thick durasteel of the seemingly impossibly tall skyscraper, hands cuffed by similarly powerful climbing gear as he continued to crawl his way upward. It was, probably, one of the best work-outs he’d ever received in his life, and every meter he managed sent another ache through his already sore muscles. ”Two hundred and thirty seven floors down.”
Vask said to himself, glancing down towards the distant…distant ground of Coruscant below.
”Six to go.” The Soldier complained, tilting his head backward as he groaned and hoisted himself up over another decorative ledge.
