Avin Starfire
Character
Nadiem Jedi Temple
He sat legs crossed as per the usual stance when in a state of meditation. His master may have had unconventional training methods but it was with the traditional way Avin found solace of mind. His mind entered a trance-like state as he reached out into the galaxy at large. The pool around his locality slowly but surely expanded to that of his local systems and then far beyond although its vagueness ever the same with the dark mists and fog of the Sith masking large swathes of his vision. He felt a darkness sweeping over him with a sudden chill. Avin tightened his mind to the feeling and attempted to see where it followed, the fog leading him to a clearing as if he was watching on a holoscreen he could see a group of figures. As the fog cleared and their features became more obvious his body started to sweat. He recognized the individuals and locations yet the events seemed almost impossible. Death and destruction befell those of whom he had pledged himself. The darkness seemed to drag them away further from him until...Avin's eyes shot open and he fell back onto the meditation stall of which he had started to levitate a foot over. He had to wipe his forehead from the perspiration build up that had now covered most of his face and neck. A coldness pressed down against his heart as he tried to make sense of the visions befallen to him by the force. He had many visions but none of his savior, none of the master that brought him back from the brink.
Avin started at once to his room and packed a second pair of robes as well as his older jacket and casual attire from before. He looked over the old leather coat and smiled as he folded over his arm and threw it into the carryall pack.
After showering and making a few visits of permission from his fellow Jedi Knights as to his leave being taken the Republic Guardian made his way towards the Jedi Fighter that the republic had given him. It seemed to shimmer in the mid-summer sunlight as if it had just been repainted or polished. Of course, in reality, it was due to the required cleaning after a week on the salt water planet of Mon Cal that had soaked his ship and left a mass of salt crystals on its left intake. Alas, he loaded his bags and set the onboard computer to key the hyperspace for the Imahalyan system.
He cleared orbit and connected to the hyperspace ring that had sat in the place he had last disconnected it. After running the preflight checks Starfire thumbed his hyperdrive and watched the stars around him collapse into lines of mass and light before vanishing into the blue vision of hyperspace.
For the Jedi, his official line was to check up on an allied world yet for him this journey held the direst of consequence in effect. He had to warn or at least check in on his master and her people especially in these times of such constant war. For once he wished his visions to be wrong yet his guy held a feeling of uncertainty he had not felt since the fall of the last republic. It was not a feeling he had ever wanted to be replicated. For now he could do nothing but sit back and wait.
