A Dark Muse: Two to Tangle

Ra listened to Ravana and followed along as she clearly pointed out each part of her topic's subjects. She explained this club was in essence what the Dark Side felt like, at least to her. Personally, Ra could do without pain, but she knew life was pain and that it went hand in hand with everything. However, she said, overwhelming pain...did that mean overcoming personal pain or causing it to others?

"There are different interpretations of pain. What kind are you talking about- physical or mental?"

As for conquering power, did that mean taking power from others or gaining person power from within?

She gave voice to that question as well as well as asking about pleasure.

"The pleasure- are you giving or receiving the pleasure?"

Master Dune had told her again and again the Jedi code and this woman-sith-had just told her something totally opposite. She had told her earlier she would not try to convert Ra and she did not feel this conversation to be anything of the sort. All [member="Darth Exode"] had done was tell her why she liked it here and Ra took that to the truth.

"Pain... it is external, internal, physical, mental, inflicting and receiving all at once. The Dark Side draws Power for Pain, when you suffer it or when you inflict it on others. Pain suffered, received, is used to fuel your body, to create more anger, to create Hate, to enhance your own abilities. When someone used the Dark Side, their Pain becomes a weapon, something to use, to gain Strength and Power. Inflicting pain on others can empower you in turn, drawing you deeper into the Dark Side, Empowering and Nourishing you. If I was to hurt a man, and do it viciously then I would gain satisfaction, pride and other emotions of such a nature, widening my connection with the Dark Side of the Force."

"Power. It is needed in all things. Power is needed to create Victory, and to Break the Chains of Oppression and Society, to be able to do what you wish, when you wish it. To beat and conquer your enemy, whomever they may be, to use Political Power as well. This is Power focused Externally. Power Focused Internally is about being in Power and Control over yourself, and your emotions. Being out of control, allows the Dark Side to Consume and Break you, instead of you influencing it, and partially bending it to your will. Never think, that one can bend the entire Force to their will, it is impossible, and any who try are a fool, even to attempt trying to control a facet of the Force, like the Light or the Dark. This is the Downside of Power personified. Hubris. This is what you must have power over, and control. Your own Hubris, above most over emotions and facets of Sentient Psyche."

"Pleasure. In giving Pleasure to another, you also can gain power over them. The Drug Dealers have Power over the Drug Addicts. The Bartenders and the Cooks have Power over the Gluttons. The Whores and the Sluts have Power over the men and women they Pleasure, since more oft than most, they will come back for more. Receiving Pleasure, is something that happens on an everyday basis, even if we don't acknowledge it. Pleasure in Beating an Enemy. Pleasure in Being with a Lover. Pleasure in making and Eating Fine Food. Pleasure in simply enjoying life. Pleasure is in our everyday life, and whether or not we realise it, we are Chained down by it. This is where Power comes in yet again, in having Power of yourself and your Emotions, you can possibly rise above it, and no longer be Chained by it."

"Peace is a Lie. There is Only Passion.
This means exactly what it says. Peace, True Peace, is something unattainable. There will always be War, there will always be Emotions to ruin your Peace, and cloud your judgement at times, unless you acknowledge and rule them. Sure, Peace is attainable through Treaty, and the Meditation, but it is only weak. Fleeting. Instead of searching for Peace, become one with your Emotions and rule over them, so they do not control you."

"Through Passion, I Gain Strength.
Through harnessing your emotions, you passions, your needs and your wants, you gain the strength necessary to do what must be done to achieve your goals. Emotions such as Hatred and Anger give you focus on a goal, and Pain clears your head, and makes things sharper, if it is not overwhelming to the point in which you can no longer focus. Strength is needed in all things, but it is a means to another end."

"Through Strength, I gain Power.
The Power to do anything. Political Power, Physical Power, Mental Power, all help you achieve a goal, and become the best you can be. Power is necessary in all things. You must be more powerful than your opponent or you Perish. You most be More Powerful than your rivals, or you get left behind and forgotten. You must have Power, in order to Save your Friends and Family, to Protect them from any threat, and any enemy. Power is always coveted, needed and wanted in all of its forms."

"Through Power, I gain Victory.
Power is needed to reach the end goal, to achieve something, to be victorious in you endeavours. Power and Strength are worthless without a goal to achieve in doing so. Victory is gained completing that goal, whatever it maybe. Defeating a Foe, Learning new abilities, becoming the Leader/Ruler of a Planet or Star System. Victory over something is the what you are trying to achieve in most things."

"Through Victory, My Chains are Broken.
Your Chains... what are they? Society, Weakness, Tyranny... Society Chains us down and holds us, forcing us to conform. Weaknesses Chains us from our full abilities, and stop us from being the best we can be. Tyranny can literally Chain us down, to force us into weakness, into conformity, whether it is an oppressive government, a King, Our Very Masters, they seek to Chain us to a certain way of thought, of action, all because it is "The Best Way". These are but a few examples. Through Victory we overcome our weaknesses and find new strengths, we gain the Power and the Freedom, to be above conformity, and above the rule of any form of Tyranny. To Break our Chains in all things, and to be Free.

"The Force, Shall Free Me.
The Force is a Living, palpable thing, that Empowers us. The only reason we are able to do any of the former, is because the Force guides us, wills us, and allows us to influence it, to our wills. In the End, by Breaking your Chains, whatever they may be, you are Free, but you are Only Free, because of the Force in the end."

"Peace is a Lie. There is Only Passion
Through Passion, I Gain Strength
Through Strength, I Gain Power
Through Power, I Gain Victory
Through Victory. My Chains are Broken.
The Force, Shall Free Me."

"That is the Sith Code, and that... is what I believe what the Sith Code to mean."

The entire speech was Passionate, and obvious unrehearsed, and with her usually Sexy and Alluring tone of voice, the speech became all the more Powerful. It felt too much like it was from the Heart and from the Soul for it to be rehearsed. Ravana truly meant every word of what she just said.

Ra viewed the conversation taking place between them to be at most a philosophical debate than a conversion technique. So she did her best to close out the sights and sounds of the bar around them and give [member="Darth Exode"] her full attention. This did not prove to be as difficult as she expected and that was probably also due to the mezz Ravana had given to her at the door. The beats of music were about the only thing that got through her mental defenses.

Listening to everything the woman told her, she answered explicitly the questions Ra had asked and provided even more information than she imagined there could have been in this sith's mind. Not that she was making a judgement call or anything. Ra had never been one to allow her emotions to control her and instead did her best to ignore them totally until the time came when they needed to be let out. Like a bucket of water overflowing, you just couldn't stop it when that happened.

"Pain is something fleeting. Here and then gone, at least the physical kind." Ra spoke this and fell silent as the sith woman continued. Mental pain was something far more lasting, but even that could be worked through given enough time.

"Is not knowledge Power? To have more knowledge is to have more power. It is good to know that one should not seek to control the Force as it can't be controlled. A force of nature all its own if you will. I already control myself to great advantage. Maybe even too much sometimes." That gave her something to think on though, at least this sith agreed on something that Ra had been taught.

Ra let out a small snort at what Ravana said about pleasure. Taking a drink of her Twi'lek Surprise, it did give her pleasure to drink it, so she understood what the meant. Most of the other parts of pleasure did not apply to Ra...though she herself was a fantastic cook and enjoyed giving pleasure to people through food. So in a way, she understood this aspect more than any of the others.

Nodding at the next point, Ra had pointed this exact same thing to Dune when they talked about the Jedi code. There was no such thing as true peace. Only moments that went as a flash.

"I already control my emotions." It was a simple statement, she had never let go and lost control. She kept them so under control, they almost weren't there. Not externally at least. Only her eyes ever really expressed how she was feeling, varying shades of gold to brown.

"I assumed passion to be that of two lovers and that is something I've never had." At speaking, this Ra blushes slightly realizing that it may come out oddly in this conversation. This woman was being open with her about what she felt and it made Ra feel that she could do the same. Why that particular thought came out though, she didn't have a clue.

"Power is gained through knowledge not strength." Raising an eyebrow at that point, it was one Ra disagreed with right away. Then the woman continued explaining what she thought the line meant. While Ra's view was part of it, there was so much more that could be read in there. She took another sip of her drink and continued listening.

At the last point, she tipped her glass at the woman and smiled a little. "Victory is always nice." Looking down to her glass, she finds it empty now and only had some ice left at the bottom. She looked around to see if there was somebody she could order another one from. None being near, she returned her attention to Ravana.

"It is a good thing then both Jedi and Sith allow the Force to guide them. Even if each have their own views on the matter."

Opening herself up a little to the club around her, Ra started tapping one of her feet to the beat of the music.

With a Smile, she waved over a woman, who was taking orders, a Twi'lek. She ordered Ra another drink, while sipping on her own.

"This may be a fairly Personal Question. You have never said how much training you actually have, in the Force or in Saber Combat. What is you level of training?" She asked with a raised brow. She was honestly curious, and the thing about never having had a lover did not help. Was she a Jedi? Is that why? She was pretty, and seemed interesting, it was doubtful that this was about not being able to find a mate... an oath of celibacy if not a Jedi? One of the "Marriage before Sex" Types? Not that it mattered, it was just a curious point. What mattered was her level of training. A Force User of any age without train, was both a blessing and a danger. A blessing, since they could be taught. A Danger because they could accidentally User their powers, and hurt others, as well as themselves.

'So...' raged the question in Ravana's Mind 'Which is it?'

Ra paused a moment while thinking of an answer for [member="Darth Exode"]. Her training had been started by Dune and continued by him. All on the Jedi path. Other training had been given to her by a red pyramid holocron. No other formal training did she had and had no clue how to use a lightsaber.

"Of saber combat, I know nothing. I'm more likely to chop my own hand off than that of the person I would be fighting. However, I can fight with weapons."

Opening up her sleeves, she shows Ravana her two knife hilts and points to her boots. "I have two more in there. So I'm not helpless, just can't use a lightsaber."

She left out, at least for now that she possessed a broken double bladed lightsaber and that she was trying to learn how to use a staff.

"I guess for Force training, probably just basics."

Shrugging her shoulders when she spoke.

"Well, was it training from a Jedi, a Sith, or a Grey? They all have different ideas of what is "basic" force training. Was it from a Holocron, or someone alive? Cause things may even differ then. What can you actually do with the Force, may be a better question to ask, perhaps."

Ravana watched the dancers with slight interest while she said all of this. It looks like she may be up to something.

The new drink arrived, giving Ra a few extra moments to come up with an answer for [member="Darth Exode"]. Taking a first sip from it, she holds it in her hand enjoying the sensation of the liquid go down her throat.

Looking now across to Ravana as she answers, hoping it won't cause the woman to kill her on sight now.

"A Jedi has been teaching me about the force. Master Dune of the Dominion."

It named who she was learning from and who knows, maybe Ravana knew him.

"I also acquired a holocron that's been teaching me as well. More combat oriented lessons than what Dune does which is more force oriented.
As to what I can do, I'm a new student so not much. Throw rocks around and last for hours running."

"I do not Agree with the Jedi, nor their Code, but... as long as he doesn't threaten me, I imagine I could truce with him. Perhaps." Ravana said thoughtfully.

"And as to the Holocron, is it Square or Pyramidal?" Her eyes were on Ra now, as she took a sip of her drink, and idly fingered her blade-necklace.

The relaxing Ra more now that she's on her second, she's going to be more open to speaking freely and letting her own thoughts and emotions show.

"I don't see Dune doing anything hostile and he's worked with Sith before. He likely has the same opinion as you though and will tolerate a Sith as long as no threats were there."

The mention of the holocron though got the full attention of [member="Darth Exode"] and Ra noticed this.

"It's a pyramid shape."

Her eyes slightly widened in surprise, before it was schooled quickly. "Hm. The Pyramidal kind are more rare than the Cubes. Keep it to yourself, all Holocron are coveted, the rarer ones even more so."

With a giggle, Ravana pointed a finger out towards a dancer, who was creeping in on a woman that obviously didn't want to dance with him, and with a little swell of the Force, shot a small spark of Force Lightning, and zapped that guy in the ass, making him jump, and then fall, straight into the chest of a Man almost twice his size, and then watch the creep get knocked out by the enraged man, just making her laugh all the harder at the stupid man, while taking a large sip of her drink.

Ra wasn't sure what was really so special about her holocron, but [member="Darth Exode"] said it was more rare than square shaped ones. Those she had seen at the Temple, but never a pyramid one. So going off that, it made sense. Ravana seemed surprised Ra had one. She hoped the woman wasn't going to try and take it from her. Not like she carried it on her, but still.

She turned her head in the direction Ravana pointed at. An ark of lightning sprang from the Sith's elegant finger and hit one of the dancers in the rear end. He jumped, fell and when he got back up, hit the chest of a man that look behemoth next to him. The giant of course naturally beat the crap out of the dancer and knocked him out.

Ravana got pleasure out of watching this transpire as well she should since it was an action of her sparked it. Ra couldn't help but chuckle a little since the punk deserved it after refusing to leave the lady dancer alone.

Turning her attention back to her Sith companion, Ra again spoke, "yeah, you're the only person I've told about the holocron."

"And that's a good thing. Don't tell anyone, or they would try to take it from you. The only reason I won't, is because I have my own. And I have trouble enough trying to unlock that. I don't need your Holocron giving even more grief." She said with her sinful smirk.

She looked around, seeing the poor sap being trampled on the dance floor, and it reignited her giggles for a second time. "Servers him right... bloody creeper..." the tip of her finger sparked with Lightning again. "Reckon he deserves another jolt?"

[member="Darth Exode"] said she had a difficult time unlocking hers, but Ra had found it pretty easy when she tried to. Granted she had tried a few mundane ways to get it open at first, none of which worked.

"Oh really? All I needed to do to open mine was caress it with the Force. It then opened and a VERY lifelike hologram came out and started teaching me."

Not wanting to ask too much of the sith, but Ra wondered if she would ever see the one Ravana possessed. She did not give voice to that question and then her companion turned her attention back to the floor, Ra's eyes followed.

The poor guy had been knocked out and was being danced by the others on the floor. There wasn't anything the guy could do and he was rather helpless. Ra shook her head and pointed at him.

"Whether he deserves another shock is pretty obvious, but right now there's nothing he can do."

"I have tried that already to open mine, and it refuses to open. I'll try to do more at a later date." She looked over at the semi-trampled man, and gently used the force to move him out of the way (Read: Pulled him with the Force suddenly, and made his back slam harshly on a pillar) and returned to her drink. "I don't even know whom my Holocron was from in all honesty, just that is probably powerful, since I can't get it to open."

She took her small necklace-blade out and started idly Scratching runes of some description into the table, not caring about the damage she was doing to the table. "So, Greyling, what's the plan after we leave the club? I can tell you are straight and Narrow, so I won't be taking you back to my apartment, unless it is to talk, and there is no innuendo in that." Takes another sip of her Alcohol, and continues Rune-Carving

It was good to know that different holograms needed different keys or triggers to activate them and the more powerful they were, then the stronger the teaching would likely be.

Ra watched and almost winced as [member="Darth Exode"] pulled the poor sod out from under the feet of the dancers and crashed him into a pillar. She wondered if he would ever come back when he recovered from tonight. Shaking her head and taking a drink, savoring the flavor, Ravana asked what plan there might be after they leave. The sith mentioned going back to her place to talk and reassured Ra she would not be making any moves on her.

She tinkered with her drink a moment before answering, watching her companion etch runes into the table top. Ra let out a small little snort of laughter before speaking.

"As I said earlier, I didn't have any plans for the night. So I'm game for pretty much anything."

"Well." She said with her signature smirk, "We'll have to figure out what we are doing after this, won't we?"

"In any case, we will probably be here for a while, my dear, there is drinking, eating, loving and all around revelry to be had!" She exclaimed with a bright laugh. It seems the the Alcohol my finally be getting to her, as her beautiful laugh echoed through the room, even stopping the dancers, who were hypnotised by the enchanting noise. When she stopped, it took a fair few seconds for the natural atmosphere of the club to return in its full glory. It was then she just continued to etch her runes, humming a small alluring tune, that caused those in earshot to start swaying side to side. Her natural aura of Seduction just seemed to get worse and worse, as she kept humming her tune.

Finishing off her second drink, Ra sets the empty glass on the table to prevent herself from playing with it more and paying half attention to the room around her and the other half on the woman next to her. Ra wondered if she'd just lead a sheltered life to never have known of a place like this or if it was the path her feet were on that prevented her from knowing before tonight.

She wasn't hungry so wasn't interested in the food offered and she had seen what drugs did to others around her when she was growing up. It wasn't something she even wanted to try, drinking would do for her tonight.

Like [member="Darth Exode"] had done earlier, Ra motioned to the twi'lek to get another of her drinks and turned her full attention back to Ravana.

"I think I must be prude or something. I don't know. Maybe I control myself too much and should let lose. I have no idea how to though."

The fact the laughter of the sith disrupted the natural flow of the club only barely registered on Ra, but she did find herself nodding her head to the tune she was humming.

"You control yourself to the best of your ability, and you only let go when you wish and want to let go. You are not a Prude, at least not in my mind. You actually followed me in here. Most "normal" people would refuse to even step a foot into this place after they realised what was going on with it. They would run, or attempt to call the authorities. Rather pathetic, really, when they do that. This is beyond most people, and you, my little Greyling, are more attuned with the Light than you are the Dark. I don't mind that you aren't comfortable to completely let loose. Just be who you wish to be. I am not here to force you to be any different." She said with authority and clarity, as she truly believed this, and wanted to leave no room for any arguments.

"Ha call the authorities to a place like this? I can only imagine the riot that would cause."

Ra said this with as much humor in her voice as [member="Darth Exode"] had heard come from her yet.

"Hey, everybody is unique. There is no such thing as normal."

Her new drink arrived and Ra took a sip of it. This would have to be her last one or she might end up losing control and do something she might regret when she woke up the next day. She shrugged her shoulders slightly at one of the last comment Ravana made.

"These days even I don't know who I wish to be."

"Wish to be, yourself. Nothing more, nothing less. Do not worry what others think of you. It is merely allowing yourself to be chained down by others if you do. Those of us Enlightened by the Force, need not be bound by Any Chains." She said this with Passion.

"If you just wish to be yourself, then you have nothing to worry about, in any shape or form, as You cannot fail such a task, as you can never not be yourself, unless you try to be someone else. Which if you are trying to be yourself, you will never do."
