Private A Dark Bargain

Officially, Rare Consequence was closed for business. The staff had long ago gone home to their meaningless lives, and the restaurant itself was still and silent. That wasn't to say that nobody was inside. Helix lounged alone at the corner table, tapping his fingers idly on the expensive wooden surface.

Since its construction, Rare Consequence had been the gift that kept on giving. Aside from the money, the information, and just having an outpost near the core, it had also proven itself a useful place for meetings.

Corellia was, at least for the moment, neutral space. That was likely to change in the very near future, but for now, it was easier to get people to agree to meetings here than in Sith space.

So it was with his latest contact. The stranger had been cautious, but expressed interest in joining the shadowy cabal that called itself the Dzara.

Kyber Kyber hadn't volunteered a reason why, nor had Helix asked. There was time enough for that tonight. He suspected it was for money, power, or knowledge. It always seemed to be. That was well and good in his book. If Helix knew one thing for certain, it was that everybody in the galaxy was out for themselves. Some denied it, some were honest about it, but it was a universal constant. At least with the latter you knew where they stood.

Tonight, he'd find out where Kyber stood, and whether he was worth inducting into the fold. Simply finding out how to contact them at all was a point in his favor, at the very least. That showed a degree of initiative. Helix would see if he had other virtues to discover.
