A Common Myth-Understanding of Life

Kay-Larr

Kay raised a brow slightly as [member="Mythos"] called her by one of her titles. He didn't need to do that. Surely he knew? "You can just call me Kay, you know. I'm not a stickler for titles..." She sipped her tea and led him out of the office. Her plan was to first take him to the Twin Canyons. For that they didn't need any transport. They only needed to walk a couple of kilometers across the field behind the Palace. She was early enough in her pregnancy that she didn't have to worry about such exercise.

But then he spoke up again, and this time it was about her secret. Kay was glad that she hadn't made it out of her office door yet. She just stopped right there, clenching her jaw as he patronized her for what had happened to her. Most of the time she blamed herself for it, yet Veiere had told her otherwise, stating that it was Prazutis' doing and not her own.

Kay just stood there, not wanting to get angry. She had to be calm or at the very least, try her hardest to remain that way."I didn't know who it was that came for me. I..could've done better to prevent my abduction, but I didn't have much of a chance. He used Sith sorcery on me..something that I've hardly ever encountered." She took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. "The Galactic Alliance and Underground syndicates have not reached us here. Only Prazutis and Kaine have been here to build a house. But it's been dormant and locked up for a long time. I want to destroy it. Perhaps we can train in there. It'd be thereputic." Oh indeed it would. "However I ask that you keep my Force Abilities a secret. I must have it that way for political reasons. There are quite a few of my allies that detest Force Users, especially those in power. I don't want to risk my people's safety over something like that."

Mythos listened to her and nodded, he did not judge her and he understood he reasons for refusing his training, for refusing his help and although her husband agreed he most certainly did not. "I will never say that what happened was your fault and that is not what i am implying." he said while standing next to her, shoulder to shoulder like the friend he had always been. "Sith Sorcerry is something i could then and i can now counter, i am a warrior and a i have fought Jedi, Sith Mandalorian and Mercenary of all jacks and trades Kay." He stated with a disarming smile, letting her know that this was not a judgment of her past mistakes but a venture to prevent any further tragedies. He could sense it... the force, strong and powerful in her like no other jedi he had ever seen but it was raw, untamed and undisciplined still needing refining. If he had any luck... if he had any hope he could even try and teach her Alchemy. "Sith Sorcery is much like the force a Sith warrior uses only different, you can counter it with my teachings... i know Sith Sorcery." He said. Whispering words in ancient sith under his breath to bring a purple flame into the palm of his hand, blazing and beautiful... but destructive. With a flash it vanished. He just wanted to make a point, not show off. "Allow me to teach you what i know, allow me to arm you with the knowledge i have gathered through my years of warfare and conflict against every shade of warrior the galaxy has to offer... then next time should i fall in defending you or should i fail my duties the Zambranos or anyone else trying to harm you will find it hard to lay hands on you lest they feel the sting of a blue lightsaber and the power of a Jedi in maturity, fully capable of striking them down in one fell swoop." His words were not edged in the way they were before, enourcaging and confident in a way that resembled the King of Atrisia.

His smile was disarming and his eyes glistened to see what was the first thing to see in the tour, he ended with one simple sentence. "your secret is safe with me My Queen" this time he used the term teasingly, with a smile on his face that let her know he understood but would always tease her with it, after all it was a term he would use during work hours often. "Don't they know your husband is a Jedi?" He asked curiously, leading the way through the hall slowly and keeping pace with her while they walked. "he doesn't exactly keep it to himself you know"

Kay nodded, glad that she got it wrong when it came to placing the blame on what happened to her. She was so used to being scolded. But it wasn't as though she was asking for trouble at all, and she usually hoped for the best in ithers. It's what led her into having such loyal friendships. [member="Mythos"] wouldn't betray her. She was sure of that. He'd never turn on her.

It didn't surprise her when he both told her and showed her his abilities to combat and use Sith sorcery. The more that he spoke, the more that she saw her old friend's personality returning. Kay nodded in agreement. "Alright, you can teach me what I need to learn. However, I'm not sure how much my...condition will hinder me. I've never gone through this before."

She sipped her tea, smiling a little as he remarked on keeping her secret. That was good. Kay stepped with him out of her office then, leading down the hallway that would take them out of the back door of the Palace. To his question on Veiere, she nodded a little. "Yes, they know all about him being a Jedi. But with him, it's easier. He's the King, yet he has a foot in each world. He doesn't handle the politics very much. That gets left to me. So the fact that he's a Jedi has very little impact. How the other governments feel about it, I don't know. It hasn't been brought up as I hardly see the other leaders." Most left Commenor well enough alone. Again, that was part of what kept them safe.

"Fair enough" Mythos said, her statement being more than sufficient for his inquiry and laying to rest any further doubts he would have on the subject. As they walked Mythos observed with great concern every corner and rooftop of the palace indoors and outdoors. He started pointing and mentally making notes, a machine gun next there, sniper nests here, sentry gun here and so on. Funnels and narrow corridors where the place you wanted heavy resistance in order to cause as much casualties as possible, the lack of proper defensive structures in these areas concerned Mythos, right now this place would be difficult to defend. "We have a lot of work to do" he said with a sigh, every step he took pointing to another area that needed either reinforcement or weapons emplacement. He decided to leave it at that, his military advisers and joint chiefs of security would hear Mythos' concerns there was no need to trouble Kay about any of these future installations and renovations.

"So where are we going?" he said while standing outside and expecting a speeder to pop out of nowhere and take them but for some reason no speeder had come yet, Mythos really liked speeders and driving so he was excited to see what kind of speeder he would be expecting to receive here... one wasn't coming and his voice resounded it.

Kay watched [member="Mythos"] as they walked through the Palace. His head was almost on a swivel. Her brows furrowed as she wondered what he was searching for. It wasn't until he spoke that she had a vetter understanding. Maybe he thought they needed more cameras, or security guards around. But Commenor had no enemies, so it wasn't as though such measures were needed.

They stepped out of the Palace and right away he seemed to be looking for something. A ride more than likely. Kay smirked a little to herself and just pointed straight ahead after he inquired about their destination. "Over there, the Twin Canyons. From the vantage point there you'd see most of the twists and turns. I used to ride my speederbike through there. It houses our mines and some of our escape tunnels. The end of the Canyons lead to the ocean. It was my favourite place to get a break from my stress. But that changed when Prazutis found me there. I'm still drawn to it though." She just wouldn't really go inside it yet. Instead she just admired the view from the ridge.

Mythos stood on the edge of the Canyon, he looked down and saw it for the beauty of nature it was. His mind went to the mines, raw materials he could draw from to build what he had in mind. The vast mines and the resources he could locally excavate from here brought him an image of foundrys and smoking towers of production as the land was drawn to create warships capable of deterring conflict and war. A defensive fleet so vast the sight of it would make everyone think twice about invading or looking for conflict in the system of Commenor or it's constituents. That's what Mythos thought and if allowed to he would see that come to fruit to the benefit of the military force of Commenor as a whole, just because Commenor was at peace did not mean that it's military should be lacking.

"It's beautiful. What do the mines produce?" He asked, staring straight at them in the horizon. Weather it was durasteel or fuel Mythos wondered what they could bring to the table and how many of them they had around the faction itself, he knew there was trade but natural resources he could just pull from where more than a welcome change of pace from having to buy or acquisition them.

Kay looked to [member="Mythos"] as the approached the edge. Normally she'd race her speederbike off of it, the mere action looking like she was commiting suicide. But there was a ledge just 15 feet down that led to a narrow path to the canyon floor. It was a thrill to scare people in that way, and perhaps a bit mean. But it was also helpful in slowing down the pursuit of anyone chasing after her.

He was quiet as he gazed over at the expanse of the canyons. It was hard for her to discern what it was that he was thinking about. Maybe he was in awe, or maybe he was planning something. Her suspicions were realized the moment that he spoke up. Both were correct.

"Chrysopaz gemstones, often used in jewelry and even in lightsabers. As well as your basic minerals. Why do you ask? Do you need something?" The way that he looked around the Palace, to the way that he studied the canyons; Mythos was certainly plotting something. She just wanted to know what it was.

"Durasteel mainly" He said, nodding in confirmation to what he was thinking. "It's better to use natural born minerals and materials in my opinion when building spacecraft, if i am going to help with the fleet I need materials and minerals to build The Armada." The way he said it left nothing to imagination, before he was a man of land military strength both destroying and taking objectives in land but now he had changed his mind. He always wanted to fight from a Star Destroyer. The thought of finally designing a capital flag ship by himself brought a smile to his face. Now that was a project. "I will make you a flagship, if i can manage the cost and help." He turned to her, getting exactly what he wanted to hear and say out of this portion of the continent... there was however still the matter of a shipyard he needed to employ. "Shipyard?, Factories? Do we have the ability to produce and mass produce droids of high end capability?" He said, pausing wand raising a finger to correct himself. "No Ultimatums or HK's just well trained and proficient naval and battle droids?"

He was also left pondering, it felt to him as he was forgetting something... like he was leaving something out. His memory still being funky because of his return Mythos regularly forgot things.

Kay raised a brow slightly. [member="Mythos"] wanted to build an armada? Well, they could use more fleets as a precaution. She didn't expect that anyone would come for them, but some have explained that it's inevitable. Better to be prepared than to not be.

She looked to him as he turned to her, sipping her tea as he asked numerous questions. "We have the Queensguard for a flagship, but others could be useful too. And yes, we have a shipyard here as well as Gyndine's. They've built some of our ships already. The cost, you needn't worry about that as we can cover it with our military budget. As for factories for droids, we've got one in one of our districts that Ultimatum helped us to build. Some are manufacturing droids that are produced there, but we can modify it to suit other needs as well." And no doubt other worlds under their Alliance had capabilities as well. They had about a dozen to work with.

The look on his face let her know that he was searching his mind for something. She's had that same expression many times. But still she had to ask, just in case she was reading him wrong. "Is there anything else?"
