STRENGTHS
  • Speed is Key: The A-145 Himmelkreuzfahrer makes excellent use of its four engines, and propels itself through atmospheric and exoatmospheric space at breakneck speeds. Relying primarily on speed, enhanced by its Atmospheric Friction Shields, to keep it safe. Rather than relying on shields to keep it alive in a firefight, it relies on being too fast to be shot down in the first place.
  • Ordinance: The A-145 has a large arsenal at its disposal, able to use a variety of weapons to deliver violence to its target. Primarily it will use its integrated 145mm Gatling Cannon, but it also has a number of bombs and missiles that it can carry, and delivers with vengeance.
WEAKNESSES
  • No Shields: The A-145 does not have any combat shield generators. Only Atmospheric Friction Shields and Thermal Shields to allow it to function in extreme conditions and ignore air friction. Any projectile weapons that hit it will do damage.
  • Basic: This platform has no advanced anything. While this makes it easier to manufacture, it doesn't allow the pilot to rely on any advanced systems, requiring greater training and skill from the Pilot to be used effectively.

DESCRIPTION
The A-145 Himmelkreuzfahrer is a craft designed to fill in a role that was previously filled by dropships, since the Diarchy yet does not possess a dedicated craft for this role. As a close air support and ground attack craft, the A-145 will be deployed from an orbital blockade or carrier vessel either against another vessel or the planet being blockaded. The first mission of this craft would ordinarily be to clear landing zones for dropships by suppressing anti aircraft capabilities and suppressing enemy advance to allow the dropships to deliver troops to the surface. When deployed in a zone with active infantry it will behave as close air support, strafing enemy positions and delivering bombs where needed. It can carry some air-to-air missiles to deal with air targets, but its primary purpose is to deal with ground targets, and generally would need established air superiority in order to operate safely.

Simple and solid. I'd like to add the following fields to the template. These are still part (and very important part) of the template however not part of the pre-made fields:
Squadron Count: (Please provide the amount of fighters this submission would have in a squadron. The average squadron for any starfighter is 12, at lengths averaging 12.5 meters. The bigger the fighter, the smaller your Squadron Count should be. The smaller the fighter, the bigger your Squadron count can be. [None: 1 | Very Low: 4 | Low: 8 | Average: 12 | High: 16 | Very High: 20 | Extreme: 24 ] Squadron Sizes may be listed as just the rating.)
Hyperdrive: (Does this ship have a hyperdrive? If this ship has a hyperdrive how fast is it? The lower the number, the faster the ship is, you may choose decimals. Any speed below 1.0 requires the hyperdrive to be added to the ship’s strengths and accordingly balanced with weaknesses. Links: Hyperdrive, Hyperdrive Comparisons)
