77 Sunset Strip (Lords of the Fringe Dominion of Soledad)

Sargon was tired, and that was the plain and simple fact of it. He'd just finished a very long day, and in no way was he pleased to hear word that he was being reassigned to a response fleet. He'd spent his early morning doing some physical training, gone on to the academy, and finished by going over details of Bakura's security details. His new rank left him a giant task and truth he was thinking about exiting the academy, but it would look great on his resume for future promotions.
With a near exhausted sigh Sargon just leaned against a wall and hit his comms ::Fleet Command, this is Optio Sargon Vynea requesting transport to reaction fleet, or transport to objective.:: Maybe he'd get lucky and get a transport with a good shower and a cot while they traveled.

Jared stood on the bridge of the Retribution, a Permanence-class Battleship which he got assigned as his new flagship. The gleaming form hanged menacing over the planet Soledad, reflecting the rays of the G-class star.

When Jared had heard that they were to invade the planet of Soledad he did his own little research. The Soledadians seemed to be using genetic modification and cloning to create the perfect citizens, every group had their own rank and responsibilities. This made for a highly organized and in theory easy to conquer civilization. Kill the leaders and mass-modify the population to obey the new government. Lady Vessia had expressed the desire to be worshiped by the planet, Jared did not mind that at all. He was not looking to start some cult, he was more interested in the other possibilities.

If he was able to seize control of the Soledadian Industry and more importantly the breeding facilities? He would effectively oversee the whole planet. So what he would have to modify the citizens to worship a new Goddess? He would still earn a lot of credits because of this.

Arriving to the planet before the rest of the Fringe Fleet was a risk, but a calculated one. He only had his flagship and a couple of frigates. Jared assumed that the Soledadians would not see his little fleet as a big threat and instead continue to commit their main forces to the civil war. If everything went alright, the Fringe Fleet would arrive just in time to save the day, while he already occupied a part of the Industrial zone.

With a smile Jared ordered the strike on the anti-air installations around the Industry zone. “Admiral, would you kindly prepare our forces to strike? You have the bridge, I think I am going to participate in the battle. I want to have a feel of the battle.” Without awaiting the Admiral's reply he took the elevator to the Hanger to join his man in the coming fight.

Lucrezia looked upon the ones who had asked for a ride and she gave a nod. "Alright then get in and ah... Be careful he really is nervous around new people." She moved inside and the armor retracted enough to leave small area's exposed. The inside of the ship wasn't much but it was still a baby, still growing and there were somewhat other seats in the rooms that were forming. More importantly the message from Sargon came as Lucrezia spoke. "This is Lucrezia of the Ishimura... We'll come and pick you up."

Slowly she moved to the pilot chair of the cockpit and stood there for a moment as tentacles came out and plugged into the bits of armor... Slowly she was lifted up and a large one entered the base of her neck while speaking through the internal coms. A mild distortion while in her head a thousand systems all went about. "Everyone prepare to depart and hold onto something please." The bioship moved raising up and heading to get Sargon as the lack of weapons did one thing for it. Let it be faster.

Everything was going according to plan, the Soledians did not see his fleet as a major threat and their planetary forces were too busy with fighting in their civil war, on top of that most of the anti-air installations were destroyed by the strike-forces Jared had sent against them. Except one, which was curious indeed. The leading Centurion he had sent with the strike-force did not reply to comm messages, so he had to assume the Centurion had failed in his mission.

"Feth, do I really have to do everything on my own. Optio, gather the men, we have to disable an AA-battery if we want to have that damn air support."

When Jared arrived with his company he realized the actual problem. His intel had been faulty, what should have been a little dump with virtually no defenses was in fact a moderately fortified outpost. No wonder the Centurion had problems with capturing the battery, he did not get nearly enough soldiers to do the job. He should be commended for his efforts, with limited troopers he still attempted to capture the encampment.

What the Centurion did not have and what Jared did bring with him was the Force. In essence he could have stormed the outpost on his own, kill every soldier there alive and get on with the actual mission. But that would have been too much of a showmanship of his expertise. His men should not get used to the idea that their commander was an almighty warrior who could save their asses any time he chose to. So instead he ordered the assault while using the power of his mind to cloud the thoughts of the defenders. "This should do just fine."

Zaiden stood among the shadows of his fellow Fringeman's ship, eyeing the planet below. He was completely immersed in the force, hiding himself from sight sound and force sensitive, an ability he had been working on since it was brought to his attention by master @[member="Valik"]. Whenever he used his Cloak nowadays he made sure to immerse his Signature into the wholeness of the Force, thus if someone aimed to seek him out they would have to look extremely hard. They could sense him, but not where he was. It was more a general area thing.

But he wasn't doing it as an attempt to hide himself from the Fringe, no for he spoke, "Jared, ask the Admiral what I should do." He would himself, but instead of being equipped with armor among his normal things, he wore none. Simply clad in pants and a shirt, with his saber given by the Admiral herself.

Sargon wasn't exactly sure what he was flying in, but he knew it didn't have a shower and a bunk for him. This was normally the time in a mission he'd be checking the Fringe's holonet for information on the mission, checking his equipment over, checking over his squad's readiness status, and going over objectives. Instead he was simply exhausted and leaning back for just a brief section he nodded off.

Waking up in orbit around Soledadi he was startled as they left hyperspace. The inside of his helmet was coated with drool and smeared against his face, twas unpleasant. His body was cramped up from sleeping in such an odd position. He didn't feel rested he simply felt more tired in body, and mind. He wanted to take a shower, and go back to sleep but that wasn't an option. Hitting his comms Sargon sent a message to the waiting Shinju ::Response force arriving, Empress Shinju, where are we needed?::

Shinju followed after Dharma as the gravity of the world settled on her again. Her shoulders rolled while the partial reason for genetic engineering came. They were built to withstand their worlds gravity perfectly. With a smile looking around the city in the far distance showed smoke from fighting. More forces were on the move as Shinju pointed to the soldiers marching with a few weapons here or there. "There is the ones who have risen up, if we want to drug the water we will need to get towards the industrial zones of the city. My Goddess."

The exit from hyperspace brought Lucrezia's mind around. beyond the ones sleeping it was also the gravity of the planet. It was stronger then most others. The fleets engaging in space made her focus as in her mind she sang a little to calm the nerves. No weapons to speak of, little shields beyond the doven basils and now with a look she spoke. I'm a leaf on the wind. "Everyone hang on." Lucrezia piloted the ship towards one of the larger ones while speaking into the communications system. "This is Lucrezia, the enemy fleet is large, reinforcements would be a good thing. Please." Her mind focused again going towards one of the larger ships in the fleet. "Alright we get in and try to get information, or do you want to make a run to the planet. Ishi might have enough protection to make it."

Sargon was fully awake now as the ship burst ahead towards one of the larger ships. If the choice was landing in a ship where they at least couldn't blow him up, or trying to run through a storm of turbolaser fire it was a simple answer. "Take us into that ship. Maybe we can steal a transport and get down to the planet in a quiet fashion instead of as little cooked pieces." Why did anyone have a ship without guns, and then bring it into a battlefield. Who was this woman, and how did she come to have a living ship?

Soledad Surface

At first, the thought in Dharma’s mind was to unload and get to work; however, that idea shifted when she heard Shinju pointed out soldiers. Dharma watched for a moment. Then something fun popped into her head, and she went to the crates. Opening one, she pulled out one of the aerial canisters. It was set by her as she spoke to it and the clock began to count down. She threw it as hard as she could with having a bit of girly form to the throw. In the air it sailed and it was going far of course. That was how it was going to be until it covered towards the soldiers.

When the canister was over the soldiers’ heads, it exploded to release the gaseous drug. The cloud fell on the soldiers and the drug was inhaled by them. Above Dharma watched, she used the time to focus on the men. It was through the force she was sensing the state the men were in. In her reality, it was the objects around her telling the men state of mind. When the drug began to make them unfocused and mentally weak, Dharma changed the focus to having the force shift their view to match her reality. They got to witness their armor, guns, and things around to start talking to them. Each thing was telling them to shot each other since loyalists were among them.

Giggling as she turned away, Dharma was ready to continue with her plans while blaster fire went off. She had the drones gather supplies and canisters while she looked at Shinju and spoke to her. “Let us go to the fun zone of industry. Time for our madness be shared, my drone.”

Lucien turned to their pilot "Yes I agree with the Optio's plan.It would be a loss to lose this ship" He said "Aside from that I would rather not die here" He continued continuing to glance out into space and down at the planet this day promised to be interesting. He did feel slightly vunrable not to be in something a little more armoured . He had heard little of shinju's past perhaps some of the answers would reveal themselves here. Then again did he really want to know about her past.

At that very instant, a whopping combined fleet lurched out of hyperspace. The Astral Horizon broke the outline of space with a hulking 4-kilometer form of pure mechanical doom. Several Dominance-class Dreadnoughts trailed along the flanks of the Fringe flagship, their weapons bristling with activity as the thousands of cannons charging up for the ensuing battle. Fighters began spewing from the bellies of the mechanical beasts, swarming the air with superiority only wielded by the Lords of the Fringe.

At the helm of such a fleet sat Lord Admiral Dranok Lussk, conqueror of worlds and master of the Force. Upon that man sat a grin and gleaming golden eyes. A grin full of passion and bloodlust whilst the sun-hued irises bore an undying thirst for power and destruction. It was almost as if these were simply meant to be. Galactic dominance and destruction all at the hands of a single man and his willpower.

Who wouldn't want that?

Peace, Tranquility and Serenity, those were the feelings Jared found when meditating. But even in this state he could feel the frustration gnawing at him, it was getting increasingly baffling how the seemingly little outpost continued to offer resistance. It would not be long before he would have to interfere physically, even his mind confusing seemingly had lost most of their effect on the combatants. At this point he was projecting an aura of serenity to his troops to up their moral, but far more than this he could not do.

Then disrupting his calm a voice appeared in his mind. "Jared, ask the Admiral what I should do."

"Ah.. Zaiden. I already assumed you were creeping somewhere around here. Just did not seem to be able to actually locate you though.. you really should teach me that trick. I will relay your message to the good Admiral, do not fret."

"Admiral, you have a guest aboard. My fellow Prophet Knight Zaiden, you may relay these orders to him. He is to infiltrate one of the Soledadian capital ships with the special Strike-Force I have already assembled in the hangar. When our main fleet has appeared he is to commandeer the ship and sow discord between the Soledadian forces. And Admiral, Zaiden does not have to know you are taking your orders for me. Pretend you are the one pulling all the strings."

"Done, Zaiden. He should be with you shortly."

With a satisfied smile Jared continued to meditate, trying to find a solution for his particular problem.

Teryn's not Soledadians

Shinju looked at Dharma and then at the other soldiers as she giggled taking it all in with a laugh. A deep manical one that drew some attention from the ones who were in the front lines. No weapons just dark red hair with pale skin feminine figures who rushed over and stared at the pair of them. If Shinju's madness held... a taste it was now thick. Her head turned taking the rest in while she walked. "Goddess may I introduce the Morequi's first line of attack. Their... fodder for an army and the ones who can tear apart all we face." With another laugh the others fell in step before Shinju pointed to the other soldiers still killing each other.

"Go and play, bring me a heart."

The next moments were.... Exactly what was expected, the crazed fodder descended upon the soldiers and blood sprayed. The madness of Dharma was a funny thing but they were killers. Pushed past the point of madness into that deeper pit of karking crazy gorntastic face ripping that comes next. The march to the industrial zone would be quite interesting while Shinju skipped and followed Dharma letting her sister abnormalities display the insanity that was now in thick waves.

Lucrezia didn't give a nod but the ship itself blinked the lights in confirmation. Since her voice wasn't coming from her mouth but the coms of the ship itself. They sped towards the main ships hanger and she spoke sending a message to @[member="Dranok Lussk"] when the Fringe Fleet appeared. "Admiral we are on one of the main ships, sending our location on a beacon." The Ishimura screamed into the hanger as some of the tentacles lashed out for towing or capturing other ships. They swatted at troopers bisecting them like a metal cable vs flesh. Then it set down as Lucrezia was disconnected from the ship bringing the ablative armor from her back section to surround herself. The vong armor partially obscuring her force presence (save with vongsense) while the serpent slithered becoming a staff then a whip and coiling around her arm.

"Alright lets go." The distorted guttural speech was complete opposite of what she has sounded like before but the tubulars down her throat processing oxygen could do that.

As the ship landed Isis formed a spark in her hand and as she walked out of the ship she sent it hurling into a soldier in which the impact from the hit sent him flying into a wall, he was dead before he even hit the wall, that's just if it was a he anyway.

As she stepped off she used her choke on one soldier and quickly choked the life from him, on another she crushed his wind pipe and sent a force push into a group and sent them into a wall, she made quick work of them all and walked on as she headed for the group... most of them were now wearily backing off while pointing their guns at her unsure of what they should do.

Looking back at the rest she smirked and responded Pick a ship and quickly, I'll hold them off as long as I can she said as she stood there and then used her crush on another one and crushed his skull, another she crushed his heart and others she quickly dealt with, all of them started shooting at her and she tore her sabers off her belt and began to delfect the fire with her sabers as she bounced some back at them.

During the fire fight of the system flashes of light could be seen as another fleet emerged in the distance from the ensuing chaos, three wasp-class a's could be seen leading the fleet with four judicial class frigates and another two wasp-class b's in the back of the pack of capital ships... The whole fleet were a predatory one.

As the lead wasp-class came into range a beacon was sent to Lord Admiral @[member="Dranok Lussk"] with the booming voice of it's commodore Tarika Sadow Lord Admiral, this is Commodore Sadow reporting.... she announced with a calm clarity and then waited for the lord admiral's response.

Moving along with the gear carried by her drones, the drugs were going to fun to watch affect so many. The day dreaming got interrupted. More redheads that were similar to Shinju showing up. They were yummy treats that would be delicious additions to the drones that she brought with her. Dharma giggled for a time when Shinju sent the others to kill those that were wrapped up in Dharma’s madness. It was a delight for sure, and made her want the planet more to mold into her fun.

Dharma focused on her madness aura that any that were not her drones or Shinju copies would slip into insanity. So many voices saying to do lots of different things so loudly it was normal for Dharma and her crew, but those that never experience it was going to get hit hard by it. The industrial zone needed to be showered in good level of drugs and insanity. That was what everyone needed. A little crazy with lots of blood. It was a healthy diet in Dharma’s book.

@[member="Dharma Vessia"]

Shinju continued onward towards the industrial district, her sisters moving with her. Oh there was so much going on right now but it mattered not.. Oh yes they would do plenty but the madness was thick in the air while Shinju breathed in deeply letting the scents play around her. She took in the rest hearing finally Sargon. "Secure the ships in orbit, we are going to need to keep as many as we want... Maybe. You never know what the commander is going to want." Shinju moved getting near Dharma while she fell in side just a little behind the woman letting her eyes flick back and forth. Oh this was going to be so much fun.

Sargon jumped out of the ship behind Isis and took a moment to take the situation in. He really wasn't in the mood for a transport running through a gauntlet of turbolaser fire to the surface. "Governor Lucien, would you care to join me on the bridge?" Pulling out his blaster rifle Sargon moved behind a nearby support beam, while throwing a thermal detonator at them. "Find some cover!" Hoping the others saw the grenade he waited calmly for the boom.
