Description:
The 2d Light Infantry Brigade is composed of soldiers destined for the frontlines. The vast majority of the soldiers are troubled individuals from the various worlds which compose the Galactic Alliance. These soldiers received a choice: go to prison, or join the army. They chose the latter. Some joined after Kaeshana, hoping to fight for democracy against the fascists. And some joined because they just wanted to kill some bucketheads.
These dregs trickled their way into the 2d Brigade, commanded by Brigadier General Grozkalla “Madclaw.”
The Alliance spends its military budget equipping the Defense Fleet and Starfighter Corps with cutting-edge weaponry. Consequently the 2d Brigade is equipped with outdated dropships leftover from fallen regimes, second rate weapons, and supply officers who do not seem capable of performing their duties.
“They’re gonna send us to war with Aqualish in desert camo, Sullustans in aquatic gear, and Yuzzem in heat suits.”
These Wilderness Fighters are expected to operate independently if necessary and survive in terrain which more mechanized units are unable to traverse. The average infantry trooper is equipped in camo (potentially matching the climate), a blast vest, a helmet (if it fits), and a thinsuit worn underneath. Transports include an old dropship and the Republic’s leftover A-10 LAAT gunships. Land vehicles include speeder bikes and mobile mortar sleds.
