HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Andro Stratus, Colonel and Leader of the 19th Starfighter Wing, was not always an ace fighter pilot; first, he was a member of the powerful and influential Stratus family on Jabiim. But while his older siblings opted to join the world of politics and governance,

Andro was accepted by the Jabiim Naval Academy and enrolled in its starfighter pilot program, passing all of his flight tests with solid colors. Jabiim’s Defense Force only had access to outdated Z95 Headhunters, but Andro flew the ship as it had just come off the manufacturing floor in its heyday. The young rookie had an obvious talent for it, and he rose quickly through the ranks to Squadron Commander by his early thirties.

Then, the Sith came, and everything fell apart. Andro fought his best, leading valiant naval charges against the Sith, but the power and might of their Imperial Navy easily crushed the Jabiim Defense Force. Andro crashed-landed and was captured, thrown in prison, while the ruling elite of Jabiim -- which included his brother and sister -- were executed for fighting against the Sith Empire.

Andro spent his days in his prison cell, the damp rain of Jabiim soaking through the old stone and duracrete, and for the young fighter pilot, he thought he’d spent the rest of his life in that small cell.

The Prodigal Sons
Andro’s fortune changed when the Third Imperial Civil War broke out, as the New Imperial Order began to vie for control of the Sith Empire. Like it had in centuries past, the rebellion of the Imperials sparked rebellion anew on Jabiim as the Nationalist faction rose once again to combat the Sith-adherent Loyalists.

In a daring raid, a group of Nationalists liberated the prison where Andro and many of his fellow pilots were being kept; Andro reunited with the Jabiim Defense Force, but soon it became apparent that this spark of rebellion would not last. Although Jabiim yearned for independence, its position in the galaxy placed it far from the New Imperial Order’s influence and squarely in the hands of the Sith.

It was evident that those who wanted to fight would die in vain on Jabiim, but Andro came up with another way. Those who wanted to fight would leave and join the New Imperial Order to combat the Sith directly, and when freedom reached Jabiim once more, they would be on the front lines of its liberation. And so the 19th Starfighter Wing was born of Jabiim recruits, led by Andro Stratus, to fight the Sith and bring liberation to the worlds ruled by its iron fist.

They would not stop, nor would they rest until their home was liberated. They were the Prodigal Sons who had abandoned Jabiim but would return to see it free once more.
