- Description: The 1006th Stormtrooper Legion is the stormtrooper legion raised from the scrub-world of Shili. The process of raising the Legion as a "successor" of the 501st Legion started under the administration of the former Moff Ravraa Vyshraal. The Legion focuses heavily on infantry tactics and operating independently from other combined-arms units normally found in the battlefield in terms of logistics and individual battle planning. They take pages from the same playbook that the Shili Sector Auxs do, and act more as a supplementary force to an operation than being a generalist group. Essentially, they exist as an entire legion of shocktroopers. They exist to breaklines and overtake positions, regardless of what support may or may not be coming.

Strengths:
- Loyal to Home | The 1006ths main concern will always be their homeworld of Shili, drawn from mainly a Togruta stock, the Legion fights in defense of their homeworld, rather than the greater ideals of New Imperialism.
- Break Their Lines! | The 1006th are a shocktrooper legion first and foremost. While they are able to be flexible and hold a strong defense if needed, in fact, many of their best battles have been in a defensive role, their MAIN priority in any engagement is pushing the enemy line and shattering it.
- "Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement." | Taking after the Sector Army and their founder, the stormtroopers of the 1006th have strict codes about how to treat POWs and surrendering soldiers. War is not something glorious to them, but a means to secure life and liberty.
- Legacy of Ravraa | Ravraa Vyshraal is still in living memory, having only passed in recent years. He was a figure that every New Imperial Togruta could recognize, and a symbol of democracy and liberty wtihin Shili. The waves of revanchism still roll through the legion and fuel their combat.
- Descendants of the 501st | Due to Ravraa's service in the 501st, many of the tactics and training programs of the 1006th mimic that of the Imperator's Own.
Weaknesses:
- Rebels Without A Leader | The members of the 1006th Legion were inducted, and still are, into the cult of democracy and freedom that Ravraa held about him. They are one of the few legacies of his rule still standing after the death of the Moff. They have no direction for this political indoctrination, and are constantly under scrutiny and risk of being fullsail disestablished by

, should they step out of line.
- Loyal to Clan | The members of the 1006th all know eachother, by and large. Shili is far from a rare planet, and it is normal that you will have one or two people you know or at least have heard of within your operating group. This, while on the micro-level, is great for the Legion as a whole, on a marco-scale, it is another layer of insurrectionist thinking that has penetrated the mind of this legion.
- Outside Sourcing | Many of the weapons and equipment used by the 1006th are sourced from foreign buyers, and in the new age of New Imperial Isolationism, they are running thin on available supplies. Having to work off of new, stricter, trade routes.
- Every Man Counts | The world of Shili does not have a large population to draw Togruta from in order to serve in the 1006th. Every last loss is FELT and damages the effectiveness of the legion for months of operational time.
- Suspicious | The 1006th Legion is as much of a political tool as it is a military one, and the only reason that it hasn't been dissolved or Imperialized is the threat of rebellion. The Legion is constantly at odds with Imperial Army and 501st elements brought to the world to maintain order. They are looked down on by the other legions as traitors and xenos.
Historical Information
Within context of the history of Shili, the arrival of Moff Vyshraal to the helm of the Imperial occupation was one of the best things that could have happened. A native Togruta with roots on the world, he had a vested interest in assuring the best for the planet within the realm of New Imperial rule. Every rule that could be circumvented, every authoritarian measure that could be done away with, every slight that would put the planet of Shili further along the path of democracy was taken. This all being done within context of loyalty to the nation of the New Imperial Order, if not the government.
Ravraa wished to safeguard that investment.
In the final months of his life, he set up the process of the first Togruta stormtrooper legion to be brought up from the soil of Shili, putting the project in the hands of those he deemed trustworthy. Generals and commanders from both sides of the First Togruta War, close-friends, and similar minded folk from throughout the New Imperial Army.
Now? They stand as one of the few things that remain from Ravraa's rule of the planet. Acting as a microcosm of his governing style. Awaiting for someone to return the planet onto the proper path of democracy and freedom. Until then, they march to the wardrum of the Imperator against the New Sith. |
