The Side Quest Society is a writing group for players looking for a small, consistent community of writers to share adventures with. This is not a traditional faction. There are no territories to conquer, no galactic governments to overthrow, and no obligation to become involved in the larger political or military story of the galaxy. The Side Quest Society exists for one simple purpose: to tell fun stories together.

How does the Side Quest Society Work?

Every two weeks, the Society will launch a new adventure featuring a different premise, hook, and cast of characters. One adventure might involve exploring a forgotten ruin on a distant moon. Another could begin with a mysterious distress signal, a stolen artifact, a cantina misunderstanding, a malfunctioning droid, or a supposedly simple delivery that goes spectacularly wrong.

The stories do not need to connect to one another. The characters do not need to be the same. The only constant is the community of writers telling them together.

Think of these stories as the adventures happening between the galaxy's major events, such as the strange little journeys R2-D2 and C-3PO somehow find themselves caught up in, the escapades of a group of Ewoks, or the unexpected stories happening just beyond the edge of the main narrative.

Who Can Join?

Anyone!

Jedi. Sith. Soldiers. Smugglers. Politicians. Explorers. Criminals. Scientists. Droids. Nobles. Pilots. Bounty hunters. Civilians. New characters and established characters are equally welcome. Because every Side Quest has its own premise and cast, members can participate whenever an adventure fits one of their characters, or create someone new specifically for the occasion.

There is no required alignment, faction, occupation, or corner of the galaxy. If your character has a reason to be there, they belong.

What About the Map Game and Main Galactic Story?

We aren't worried about them. The Side Quest Society is intentionally removed from the pressures of the larger galactic game. We are not trying to capture territory. We are not competing with other factions. We are not attempting to become the center of galactic politics.

Every adventure does not need enormous consequences for the universe. Major galactic events can certainly exist in the background when appropriate, but they are not the focus. We are happy to write with other factions but our goal is just to have a consistent small group of writers who want to spend time together telling small stories.
