In Character
Galactic exploration has always been an important part of interstellar society, and there have always been individuals willing to head out into the frontiers of the galaxy to chart the unknown and expand galactic society's horizons. With the coming of the planeshift and the stellar convergance of the Firefist and Grek Galaxies these individuals are needed more than ever and must carry an impossible weight on their shoulders as they reconnect lost worlds to one another once again and chart new previously unknown systems in our own and neighboring galaxies. The Interstellar Explorer's Guild was thus founded as a loose association of these individuals who seek to aid one another in this quest, sharing resources and coordinating efforts to explore the galaxy at large. The I.E.G. has no allegiance to any one government and accepts those who swear to assist their fellow guildmembers.
Out of Character
With the coming of the new map there are a lot of empty hexes on the map, and I started an endevour to begin filling these empty hexes with worlds. Not necessarily AMAZING awe inspiring worlds but passable ones which are at least interesting and can maintain a few basic dominion plot points for the major factions to engage with. This faction is an invitation to other people who enjoy writing codex entries to coordinate our efforts to begin filling the map with worlds like the ones previously mentioned and maybe even undertake some larger more impressive challenges should we decide we'd like to.
This faction will never go major or play any kind of politics. It exists In Character to tie our characters together and create an avenue for characters to get together and explore this strange new galaxy we find ourselves in.
You do not have to be a codex junkie like me to join, if you're just interested in the In Character exploration and none of the OOC work we're doing that's fine but maybe give it a try!
