That was the sixth time this week that the Tachyon Rising made its way back to the Sanctuary, with another ship in tow. The Sojourner was in a permanent posting at Xelec. There wasn’t much it could do out here, but it was serving as just that, a sanctuary. Xelec was a wild anomaly and with the likes of Jorus Merrill gone, Coren did what he knew to do.
Be a Jedi and a Warden.
That was why this little venture was set up. A few pilots, countless astromech droids, and several ships were set up here. A place that was in the middle of no where, yet the middle of everywhere. The newest technology of the Starhunt Probes were being launched into the hyperspace holes to transmit data back.
Maps were needing to be redrawn. While pilots from Baobab and Starchaser Enterprises were here, they didn’t all stay for long. Some were jumping into the Slice, or the Western Reaches, even out into the Trailing Sectors, trying to get to a terminus of an old trade route, or hyperspace path.
But Coren?
He was pulling ships out of the fray. Helping navigate someone’s next jump. Finding the cargo convoys or people-movers and getting them to somewhere that made sense.
And if he couldn’t navigate them, or their ship was in too much disrepair? He pulled them to Xelec. Only a few times, did he not make it back before his hyperspace path closed. But having someone at Xelec was useful for that.
This is karked up. Was all he thought as he dropped the rescued Preybird onto the deck and moved his own ship to its typical landing spot.
