The Pursuit of Knowledge - I.
I have been rather busy this past month, asking questions of the Force and of the Jedi Path in order to ascertain greater wisdom and knowledge in my place within our Galaxy. I have continued to train Ariana and also reunited with my former padawan Akhoi Zur whilst planning a trip to Had Abbadon with a group of other scholars and Force Sensitives, yet this thirst for knowledge has dominated much of my previous ambition and instead led me back to my original devotion in Qigong Kesh, back in my student years of the Je'daii Order.
This new journey that I have started off on is leading me down some paths that I did not expect, my meeting with Darth Carnifex was what I presumed to be the most unusual and unlikely part in all of this, yet learning of the Celestials and those that the Aing-Tii refers to as "Those who dwell beyond the veil" suggests that there could well be beings of vast, unimaginable power behind the balance of light and darkness in the Force. Furthermore, there are historical accounts from the Nightsisters of Dathomir, the Yuuzhan Vong, Keshiri and Zakuul that document encounters with these apparent Deities or Elder Gods.
Questions arise when considering that there might be a greater power behind the balance of the Force, and further study has suggested that these Celestial beings are responsible for constructing the hyperspace barrier that surrounds our Galaxy and keeps us from further exploration and expansion. There are numerous theories behind the purpose of creating this barrier, whether to protect our Galaxy or to keep us from leaving it for the safety of others, but regardless the revelation that we are being blocked from learning and experiencing whatever lays beyond our Galaxy were a shock, to say the least. I'd been completely oblivious to this knowledge until but a couple of weeks ago.
How much control did these beings hold over the Force, and if they are indeed responsible for managing the very flow of light and dark, then what does that mean for the Jedi and Je'daii doctrines of belief and ideology? What does this mean for my own perception of the Force being a spiritual presence, and what impact does this have on the Will of the Force that supposedly guides us in life? While I am not convinced by the evidence that I have encountered, I must keep an open mind and consider the possibility that my view of the Force has been incorrect all this time. I cannot ignore the possibility of being wrong, nor allow ignorance to fester in the face of this revelation.
If these beings do truly exist, then where are they now? If balance and neutrality are truly their objectives, then choosing sides in the ongoing conflicts across our Galaxy would not be within their interests, yet the possibility to learn from such discoveries could be unparalleled.
