[background=With highly skilled techs always pushing their abilities and engineers always dreaming, the only thing needed for the Darkstar to come into being was someone willing to pay for it. The craft is designed for speed and stealth, extremely aerodynamic and expended energy efficient, designed to be the fastest bird among the stars. This ship has the obvious edge over customized craft as its every design element was carefully crafted to interact with each other to achieve the most efficient design possible, in this case a rapid infiltration or ex-filtration spy craft. While the ship does have a number of passive stealth features, such as the general shape when viewed from the X and Z axis, it is the active systems that allow it to hide in plain site that keeps its occupants out of most trouble.[/font]
[background=The ship's power lies in its twin ionization reactors that feed a pair o[/font][background=f powerful ion engines that end in thrust trace dampeners that reduce the engines signatures to detection. The engines are paired with a SLAM system that draws previously stored power from power cells or stored energy from weapons, namely the solar ionization cannons that the craft is armed with, to double its already impressive acceleration. Due to the extreme acceleration the craft is designed with double the amount of heavy duty compensators to counter the impressive g-forces that are applied to the occupants and spaceframe. Because this craft was designed for speed it is equipped with several kinds of power cells, Rylith Power Cells that are capable of converting solar power into a storable form, that can then be stored more efficiently in AH-50 High intensity power cells that the Galactic Empire had developed for use in their AT-ST Walkers. This combination of extra power cells and SLAM system allows the craft to maintain its sprint time considerably longer than the Missile Boat and K-wings where the system was first employed. Not satisfied with this already impressive performance, the engineers bowed to the techs wishes of sheer brute force, and added a solid-fuel concentrate slug injection system as a form of advanced afterburner. Each injector slowly forces eight of the slugs simultaneously at varying speeds depending on the pilots wishes, into the efflux of the craft while still in the engine, albeit in the thrust nozzle, the expanding gasses then force the craft into even higher speeds, adding up to 50% increase in acceleration depending on the rate of injection. The largest downside to the solid-fuel slugs however is that once they are ignited, they cannot be put out, they have to burn out. The techs suggested simply cutting off the slug where it had not yet entered the thrust nozzle and letting the burning but cut free ends simply be exhausted out the aft of the engines. This has a spectacular effect on anyone watching.[/font]
[background=The H'rel makes use of a durasteel frame, with condensed-matter composite engine mounts to tame some of the vibrations, Glasteel viewports, and Dallorian alloy in its engines to aide in isolating the crafts systems from the extreme heat that is generated by them. The alloy itself is however not enough to combat the amount of thermal energy that the engines need to shed, and so the engineers designed the craft to use a carbonite cooling system to pump heat from the engines across radiating surfaces in the delta wing area. The cooling system is not engaged until the SLAM system or the solid-fuel slugs afterburner is used. There are several sets of slugs stored at the ready.[/font]
[background=Inside the ship the pilot and copilot's station sit behind Glasteel viewports side by side, with room for two passengers immediately behind. While a copilot's station is included, only a pilot is necessary to fly the craft to its full potential. A droid or a preprogrammed course may be substitutes but should anything go wrong there is no way to react in an appropriate manner to unexpected events. Behind the pilots the craft's size allows two levels to be utilized with access to the lower level at this point, on the upper level there are two sets of horizontal sleeping areas with storage for personal belongings sandwiched in between. Behind this is where the head is, a sonic shower, and lastly a larger chamber that stretches across the ship to create a cooking and relaxation area.[/font]
[background=On the lower deck just aft of the stairs is an impressive arsenal with all kinds of overpowered or discrete sized weapons, power packs, body armor, tools, and explosives that the occupant may wish to stock. Aft of this is a horizontal Stasis booth and bacta tank, stacked one on top of the other, that leads to a compact fold out surgical unit staffed by a 2-1 BXS combat-trauma surgical droid, an IM-6 Medical Droid, and a GH-7 Medical Analysis Unit, each folded into booths along the port side or ceiling above. Ironically enough this also serves as a torture chamber, one of the medical droids locations can be changed out for a torture droid of some kind. Aft of this is a small cargo hold for extra consumables, and aft of this is a cargo hold intended to hold a pair of speeder bikes with a ramp that drops facing aft. Another exit continues from the stairs at the front of the craft as a set of steep stairs. Forwards underneath the cockpit is the stateroom that is compact but leaves more room that the other bunk areas and is private.[/font]
