The Kel Dor wasn’t really sure if he was 18 or possibly even a bit older. He never properly converted the differences in Dorin Years to Galactic Standard Years. He just knew that they were longer by a couple dozen days. Since Ko parted from the agricorps his life has changed a lot. Having learned many new things and met many great people he felt confident now in his choice to further his journey as a Jedi.

One of the biggest developments was his new apprenticeship under a master. At his age Ko had developed anxiety over not having received training from a master. Like many of his others. Such fears stemming from when he was a youngling too. Part of the reason he even joined the Service Corps In the first place. Fearing that no self respecting master would want to take a strange xeno child with a weak constitution under their wing. In bygone eras someone his age without a master was practically a failed student. But the NJO wasn’t the same order that existed in the twilight years of the old republic. This was made most apparent from the master he finally found.

The cathar jedi knight Jonyna Si, and her unorthodox nature clashed with his own traditional views and behavior. Now he currently sat within his Master’s ship, within the room of his own choosing. Clear gas flowed into its sealed confines. Checking his data pad to let know what it was safe and the room was depleted of hazardous oxygen Ko finally removed his mask. It has been a while since he got to remove it. Setting it down on the table in front of him he also pulled the goggles away from his face as well. Grey eyes blinking some from the cooler air they were now exposed to. He looked over to a mirror in the room, seeing his own unfamiliar face. There was a noticeable tan line around where his goggles and mask were worn. Not an uncommon feature for many Kel Dor that spend lots of time away from Dorin.

It felt strange to him. Feeling almost like his face was naked without the antiox mask. Finally Ko gazed at the main item on the table in front of him. It was a cake, baked for him by Jonyna. Having learned that the cathar woman was something of a cook for her old friends. Stuck in the top of it were some unlit candles. The tops of which were burnt some. But as the oxygen was purged from the room and replaced with Dorin Gas and Helium the fires on the candle slowly suffocated. Apparently he was supposed to have blown them out. But he wasn’t able to by the time he removed his mask. He thought it was kind of funny how the absence of oxygen was a bit of an oversight on their part.

The cake would be one of the first things he’d eaten in a while that didn’t need to be sipped through a straw. To say he was excited would be putting it lightly…
