I know I've had the conversation before where the topic of "it's just so hard to be creative" is the talk of the evening. In the case of creativity it's easy to accept the fact that all new ideas are based on pre-existing things, and some might even say that nothing is ever really new so much as it's simply forgotten or recycled. So when it comes to being new, unique, or even just thinking out of the box I know for a fact that we've all struggled with a similar line of thought.
Eventually we fall back on what we know. At some point we come accept the cliche. Eventually we realize we don't actually care anyway. We like what we like and we know what we know and if there's one thing I know it's that a lot of us really like the song "Welcome to the Jungle."

What had started as a simple curiosity brought on by the latest WttJ thread by Mangus turned into amusing revelation. There's absolutely nothing wrong with using pop-culture references - as a matter of fact I rather enjoyed seeing just how many threads were out there with these names. What's the most interesting is that while, yes, they're all set in jungles, all these stories are completely unique in and of themselves, from one another.
So please don't ever stop honoring Guns 'N Roses, because they got the fun 'n games. They got everything you want. Honey, they know the names.
