FROM: CICOM - INTELLIGENCE ANALYSIS DIVISION [RKRY]
TO: CICOM - DIRECTOR [REDACTED]
SUBJECT: Potential Insurrection Threat
PRIORITY: Low
STATEMENT

ITM/1:SOURCES
  • Sources comprise mainly of Holonet messages [audio and text] that range from displeasure with the current regime to outright inciting of violence.
  • Sharp increase of hostile messages primarily located in CHOMMEL SECTOR traffic.

ITM/2:VALIDITY
  • This agent acknowledges that hostile messages can be commonly found on the Holonet.
  • [SEE ITM/1/PNT/2]

SUMMARY
  • Over the past several rotations, there has been a marked increase of potentially suspicious holonet traffic contained mainly within the Chommel Sector. Such suspicious activity includes anti-Confederacy rhetoric and, interestingly, rhetoric that is hostile towards the new Naboo Monarch.
  • Normally, such messages would be overlooked. However, it must be noted that the unstable position that things are in. Events such as [REDACTED=OprAVTR] and [REDACTED=OprFNDR], while contained, have created a high level of unease.
  • Those, coupled with the fact that (1) the Confederacy has just relocated the planet to the capital of Naboo, (2) Naboo has been without a stable authority due to the transition of government and (3) the Naboo Monarch has just been coronated and is new to the office all contribute to an unstable situation.
  • To put it plainly, there is a high level of unrest in the general populace, especially with so much change and uncertainty going on. Any violence or attempted assassination during such an unstable time could result in serious ramifications.
  • Such an attack would be an optimal strategy for further destabilization.
RECOMMENDATION
  • I will continue to monitor the situation and advise if any further developments occur. No intervention should be necessary. Any intervention at this stage would likely create only more unease.
  • All of this is probably nothing more than conjecture.
