In a major development for the galaxy's media industry, Holo News Network, formerly a subsidiary of GalacticComm Holocommunications, has officially been acquired by DaxCorp.
The acquisition marks a significant change in ownership for one of the Core Worlds' most recognizable news organizations. DaxCorp has announced that its CEO, Daxium Ryiah will be meeting with Holo News Network stakeholders, management, and staff over the coming weeks to discuss the company's transition and future direction.
While the announcement has generated considerable speculation within HNN's newsroom, many employees have expressed concern over the possibility of restructuring, layoffs, or editorial changes under the new ownership. At this time, Ryiah has not publicly commented on those rumors, and no staffing changes have been officially announced.
