A NAME AMONG THE DEAD

UNKNOWN MIRALUKAN LINKED TO BRUTAL KILLINGS

A mysterious self-proclaimed Darth. A string of violent incidents. One recording that raises more questions than it answers.

OUTER RIM TERRITORIES — An unidentified Miralukan believed to be operating under the name Darth Azal'thul has emerged as the subject of a growing number of disturbing reports across several remote systems.

The individual, whose affiliation and origins remain unknown, has allegedly been connected to a series of exceptionally violent incidents involving armed personnel, suspected criminal organizations, and at least one individual believed to have been a Sith.

No governing authority contacted by HNN has confirmed the existence of an individual matching this description.

Yet the reports continue.

The earliest alleged sighting describes a remote security installation discovered with its personnel dead and its surveillance systems systematically destroyed. Investigators reportedly recovered evidence of extensive lightsaber damage, although the circumstances surrounding the incident remain disputed.

A second account, attributed to a merchant vessel crew, describes an encounter aboard an unidentified transport. According to the testimony, a lone figure boarded the vessel following a communications failure. Several armed occupants were subsequently found dead.

The crew's account contains one particularly unusual detail.

The attacker reportedly spoke only once.

No surviving witness could agree on what he said.

I. A NAME WITHOUT A HISTORY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The name Azal'thul appears in several circulating accounts, sometimes preceded by the Sith honorific Darth.

However, HNN has found no independently verifiable evidence connecting the individual to any recognized Sith hierarchy, academy, or governing body.

It remains unclear whether the title was bestowed, inherited, or simply assumed.

Descriptions of the suspect are similarly inconsistent. Witnesses identify him as a Miralukan male, although his clothing, apparent age, and physical characteristics vary significantly between accounts.

Some describe a disciplined combatant who avoided unnecessary confrontation.

Others describe an executioner.

One unverified account alleges that he remained motionless while an armed group attempted to negotiate their surrender, only advancing after their commander lowered his weapon.

Another claims the same figure allowed an injured opponent to escape.

Neither account has been substantiated.

II. THE RECORDING
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

◉ RECOVERED HOLOFOOTAGE
ORIGIN UNKNOWN | INTEGRITY COMPROMISED | AUTHENTICITY UNVERIFIED

The most compelling alleged evidence surfaced approximately two standard days ago.

A damaged recording, reportedly recovered from an abandoned structure at an undisclosed location, depicts two figures engaged in what appears to be a lightsaber confrontation.

The footage is incomplete. Its original source, recording date, and location cannot be independently established.

One combatant appears to be a Miralukan matching the broad descriptions associated with Azal'thul.

The second is an unidentified lightsaber wielder, dressed in dark robes and believed by those circulating the footage to be a Sith.

No insignia or identifying markings are visible.

The recording begins after the confrontation has already started.

The unidentified Sith is seen advancing aggressively, delivering a succession of strikes. The Miralukan retreats several steps before turning aside an overhead blow.

What follows is difficult to interpret.

For approximately four seconds, both figures move outside the recording's unobstructed field of view.

When they reappear, the unidentified Sith is on one knee.

His weapon is no longer visible.

The Miralukan stands several paces away.

There is no apparent exchange of words.

The kneeling figure raises one arm. Whether the gesture represents an attempted attack, surrender, or appeal cannot be determined.

The Miralukan approaches.

FINAL RECOVERED FRAMES

The Miralukan drives his ignited lightsaber directly through the unidentified Sith's chest.

He withdraws the blade.

The figure collapses.

III. QUESTIONS WITHOUT ANSWERS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

If authentic, the footage establishes only that a Miralukan lightsaber wielder killed another armed individual under circumstances that remain unclear.

It does not establish whether the deceased was a Sith.

It does not establish that the surviving combatant was Azal'thul.

And it does not establish that either individual was responsible for the earlier reported incidents.

Nevertheless, the recording has circulated widely enough to attract the attention of independent investigators, bounty hunters, and observers of Sith affairs.

Some commentators have suggested the incidents represent the emergence of an unaffiliated Dark Side practitioner.

Others question whether the apparent brutality is being exaggerated to manufacture a reputation.

A more troubling possibility remains:

That the reports were intended to be discovered.

If so, the intended audience is unknown.

HNN has been unable to locate any verified statement from Azal'thul, any organization claiming responsibility for his actions, or any surviving individual willing to identify him conclusively.

At present, even the name itself remains unconfirmed.

IV. THE FINAL ANOMALY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

One final detail has complicated efforts to authenticate the footage.

During the recording's final seconds, immediately before the transmission terminates, the Miralukan turns his head toward the recording device.

He does not speak.

He simply looks in its direction.

Whether he was aware of the recording remains unknown.

HNN has withheld the alleged recording's source and location pending independent verification. Individuals possessing information regarding the identity of either combatant are encouraged to contact the network through established secure channels.
