"I got lost in the cave's on Ilum and the ice wall nearly closed up, but it's really amazing that you know where to go,"

"Golly, it's nothin," Loomi responded bashfully, giving a wobbly smile. "I'm just real good at feeling things in the force. Kyber has a real unique feeling about it. Helps it stand out, y'know?"

She had always been really good at tracking things down in the force. It was a natural instinct, one that was probably aided by her unusual biology. It was hard to say, but such things were pretty normal for the Godoan to experience on a given day. It made it easy to find things, but a lot harder to focus sometimes. After all, it was just one more source of stimulation present to overwhelm her. Loomi had lots of those to choose from on any given day.

"I wonder if some padawan trials may end up occuring here," she pondered. "I know Ilum is the traditional location, but I can't help but wonder what those may look like here... Oh, I almost forgot!"

Loomi procured a silky backpack from under her ponch, a small carry bag. She reached in, procuring three sandwiches cut out in the shape of hearts, nut butter and honey contained within.

"I brough lunch."

Braze had grown quiet, his presence more as an observer than a participant. "Perhaps," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper as he listened to the others speak. His eyes briefly met the sandwiches before him, and he tilted his head slightly. "That's sweet of you, Loomi," he acknowledged with a faint smile. "I'm not really hungry right now, though, thank you." His words were soft, and he allowed his gaze to wander off, signaling his mind was elsewhere, lost in thoughts that kept him subtly detached from the moment.

Katherine Holt, he'd have to remember that for any future engagements "Well, it's finally good to meet you" he said with a brief smile before listening closely to her issues.

Silas slowly nodded along as she spoke and realised it was an issue many Jedi, including himself had dealt with. Now and then, especially during a war thoughts of carrying on this never ending cycle leaked into our minds. It was true that once an enemy had been removed another was eventually going to take its place, that was how the galaxy worked. However, as a Jedi that was besides the point.

"I see what you're talking about Katherine, it's what we all feel at some point while we're performing our Jedi duties. What you need to understand is as Jedi we are the defenders of peace, a bastion that prevents all harm to our way of life around the galaxy. If we all suddenly stopped and stepped away from this way of life who would be there to protect those from dark forces now and forever?"

The alliance army was a powerful force no doubt, but they'd be spread thin if multiple entities attacked them at the same time. They both needed to be together, one wouldn't work without the other.

"No matter what, everyone affected by these wars will heal through time. That can only happen if we continue to protect the peace..."

Jin'lian chuckled slightly. "I did not know; that's why I thought it was impressive," they said softly. "Also, it would be strange. Safer maybe. The ice wall that's like a timer is kind of anxiety-inducing for sure. Also, this place is not icy, so fewer broken arms from falls gone wrong." At least that did not happen to him, but there was the odd story of an accident happening. Looking back to earlier in the year, it was funny how nervous they were leading all the way up to crafting. There was a hope, however, he'd never have to ignite it in opposition. The lightsaber is a symbol, not a weapon.

The sound that her senior had brought lunch along, Jin's ears flicked forwards, twitching at the words. A smile drew wide on the kid's lips, and even Jin'lian's nose twitched, smelling the sweet scent of honey. "Oh wow." However, Braze's comment made them frown, perplexed, but looking across, the Cattari could see his expression. It was unusual for anyone to willingly skip a meal, Jin thought; the idea of not maintaining good eating habits was bizarre. One ear moved off to the sides, still feeling guilty, wondering if it was his fault.

"Are you okay?" Jin asked curiously, softly and shyly. "I can't tell because, well, I don't know you all so well. If you'd rather I not try to pry like back in the day, then that's okay too." He couldn't help but ask; it was purely the nurturing side that naturally came out. Some expressions were hard to read and not always correctly showed what people felt inside. That was a lesson someone from the clinic gave Jin once.

"Sure you are, love."

Kahlil snickered as they made their way to the field to find the rope. One on one, with others, it didn't matter. At the end of the day they'd be the two pulling the most. With others, they'd have to put more of a limit on themselves to avoid hurting anyone. He rolled up his sleeves to unashamedly show off his own bicep as he lifted his end with a rather large and playful grin. "I'll let you start us, mm? Little advantage for ya."

Screw it, they were doing this with just the two of them.

Valery picked up her end of the rope and looked over just in time to see Kahlil rolling up his sleeves. She blinked, intensely focused on the exposed biceps, and chewed on her lower lip. It was tempting to call him out for trying to distract her, but she was doing the exact same thing with this cute little dress of hers.

She would manage.

With both of them ready on each side of a rope meant for at least ten people, Valery squinted in his direction. He was giving her the first tug, and she knew why he did it. This was part of a mental game, where she'd do her best and he'd try to knock her out of the game despite it.

He was going to get it.

"Take this!" With a surge of Force energy, Valery rapidly moved her end of the rope up and down to send a wave along the length of the rope toward him. An attempt to make it lash out like a whip on his end, and force it from his hands. It was a feat of strength beyond natural capabilities, so she hoped even he would struggle.

Aris nodded his agreement with Zaiya, giving a faint smile in turn. Dates were a good source of sweetness. He just liked sweetness of fruit in general, so maybe they should actually get those ribbons? He hummed his obvious thinking before glancing to Vera with a brow raised. She knew something they didn't, didn't she? She was acting as if she did. Dates weren't something to laugh about, after all! But she chose to move on from it, and he wasn't about to linger on something she clearly was going to poke more fun on him with the moment he did realize.

"Darts seem good."

He glanced briefly to the glowing girl, smiling faintly. She was already having a lot of fun. Vera was too. He looked back to his sister before giving her a small little grin.

"Hope you realize I'll be winning."

Unfortunately, it appeared that Vera Noble Vera Noble did not like dates at all. Disappointed confusion briefly flashed over Zaiya’s expression as her patterns melted into a brief sweep of grey, only to brighten in muted amber tones at the confirmation of going to play darts. Games would be fun, but food was also a big motivation.

“Alright, let’s go there then,” Zaiya suggested, shinning a smile to both Vera and Aris Noble Aris Noble . Giving a small swing of their interlocked hands, Zaiya began to tug Aris along.

Their bout of competition only spurred on hers.

“nuhuh! We will see who wins!”
She shot back, giving a playful wink over to Vera in conspiratory mirth.

"Okay!" Loomi chirped. "Just let me know when you want it."

It wasn't around the time that she ate typically. She just wanted to let them all know that they did have lunch with them should they need it. It was something extra that they could enjoy. Jin seemed to keep chatting, but Loomi started to zone out and missed what they asked Braze. Something else had caught her attention. She crouched down, laying her hands on a stone about the size of her head. Her head tilted as she assessed the rock.

"Golly..." she muttered outloud, running her hand along the surface. "There you are..."

Loomi immediately began Mist Weaving. She wrapped the stone in a thread, then began constricting it with the force. It cut through the rock slowly, like a laser cutter. As the stone was split in half, something within was revealed to the eye: A blue gemstone. Loomi pulled it out of the rock and examined it.

"I found something!"

M977SXg.png

So that's how this was going to go down?

Kahlil chuckled as he felt the Force stir. He was planning to just make it a contest of natural strength, perhaps even aided by the Force, but he wasn't going to go too far into it. His lovely wife, on the other hand, didn't seem to have as much restraint. Not that it bothered him. He was grinning far too wide as he tightened his grasp on his end of the rope and yanked. Runes along his forearms flared as he suddenly pulled the rope taunt, straight up overpowering the wave she tried to use against him. Not just pulled it taunt, but full on tugged with the intent to end it immediately by dragging her over the line if he had to.

She had him now. She was going to watch him fall, and drag his ass-

The rope snapped into a straight line as he tugged in response, and with those runes flaring in his arms, Valery knew he was not withholding any of his strength. She dug her heels into the ground, pulled as hard as she could, but he'd always have the edge when it was just brute strength. His lovely wife was sent airborne, and struck the ground with her face and chest. She yelped, squirmed and tried to somehow recover, but it was pointless.

With her dress ruined and her face covered in grass and dirt, Valery was pulled over the line.

"...Not fair..." she grumbled, as she finally let go and sat up. The straps of her dress had fallen over the sides of her shoulders and her hair looked much messier. A familiar sight perhaps, save for the death glare she shot his way.

"If we do a race, I'll beat you just as easy."

"I'm fine, thank you. " He stated simply not wanting to draw further attention away. He smiled watching Loomi find a blue crystal. " You're getting good at that. " He offered lightly as he tried to reach out... nothing was really calling to him in this present moment and he frowned. "I don't feel anything right now. " He offered and looked at Jin. "What about you?"

Vera brought her fingers up to her temples, closed her eyes, and pretended to be looking very deeply into the Force, "Hmmm, nope!" she chirped. "The future says you're going to lose, little brother." She flashed him a shit-eating grin and waggled her fingers at him. Visions didn't work that way, but she'd leave him in doubt about what she'd see during the games they played. Maybe it'd mess with him a little.

"Zaiya, we can't let him win today. He's already getting a big head."

If she could get the colorful friend on her side, Aris wouldn't stand a chance. It was the perfect plan, and throwing darts was just the beginning.

"The game is simple. You have to hit a few balloons at different distances. The first few are easy, but it gets harder!" Vera picked up some darts at the stall and split them between her brother, Zaiya, and herself. They'd have enough to complete the game, and the one with the highest score would win.

If they tied, they could play around with distance.

"How about yourself, Jonyna? What've you and your padawans been up to?"
"Oh, they're not just my padawans anymore." Jonyna chuckled. "I uh...followed the recent trend. Ko was technically an orphan anyways, sooooo..."

It didn't really cross her mind much, the fact that both of them were orphans. Or at least, Ko was. Rayia was a bit more complicated...

"We've been around, mostly. Doing trainings, keeping up with the ship. I've been spending the last few weeks trying to get as much of my company assets out of Coruscant, for...well, ya know. Reasons."

The sudden realization that they were likely to fight against him together crested over his expression as Zaiya dragged him along. And he grinned. He was well aware that he would probably win on his own, just because a challenge like this was the type he'd excel at. Throwing things, it was plenty easy for him. He almost felt bad, if he was honest. Almost. "You can't see the future when you want to." Or, at least, she couldn't. He paused, glancing to his sister. Squinting at her suspiciously. He didn't fully understand how her visions worked, but was it possible she had started to learn how to peek into the future at will?

Maybe. His squint tightened more before he let out a sigh to pick up the darts he was given.

"You two can go first."

Now it was Zaiya's turn to be confused once more. "The future?" she asked, curious as bright citrine irridecent shades would spark over her motled spots and stripes over her face.

"Wait, you can see into the future with your mind on command?" Zaiya became instantly excited, giving a soft golden glow along the edges of her patterns in a spike of curiosity. Of course, Aris shoots that idea down when he tells his sister that he can't see the future when she wants to. Although the sense of suspicion resonated to let the Lovalla teen know that he wasn't too sure about that.

They made their way towards the darts, watching as Vera explained and Aris picked up the darts in his hand. Since Aris suggested her and Vera went first, Zaiya wasn't going to complain. She let go of his hand and with a glitter of challenge in her eyes, she gave a shimmy of her shoulders and went "Alright, since we have to let you see just how good we are!"

With that in mind, Zaiya got into position. Granted, she wasn't like the two Noble siblings. She wasn't going to use the Force to help guide her hand-eye coordination. She didn't even know how to do that. All she had was just practiced skill and tough talk in the joyful giddiness of playing games with friends.

With a focused, narrowed gaze, Zaiya squinted at the board of balloons. The tip of her pink tongue poked out a bit as she bit it in concentration, before lining up the shot.

One. Two. Three! Her wrist drew back and she let it fly!

Removing the apron from around his waist, Carlo then shed his crimson fur-lined suit jacket, leaving him in a crisp white dress shirt, its top buttons undone for comfort, allowing a gentle breeze to cool his skin. With a break from his duties at the cafe-like establishment, Carlo seized the opportunity to seek out some excitement or mischief.

His metallic right arm raised to adjust the golden frames of his rose-colored shades, the sunlight catching the glinting glass lenses as they revealed the mischievous glint in Carlo's sapphire eyes. A sly smirk graced his pale lips as he murmured to himself, "They say a little fun never hurts, Carlo."

With that mantra in mind, Carlo set off to explore, whether it be engaging in casual conversation or seeking out more thrilling encounters. In his typical fashion, he couldn't resist handing a flower to the nearest passerby, accompanied by a light smile and a sly wink.

Rayia’s thumb slid off the communicator’s record button with a soft click. She waited for a reply. None came. Rayia fiddled with the dials to try and lock in a private channel but all she received was the soft hiss of static in return. “Junk,” she swore under her breath and stuffed the communicator back onto her hip with a frustrated sigh.

She wanted to hurl the thing against the wall, but causing a scene likely wasn’t advisable. Besides, she was sure that there were enough rumors flying around already. A padawan devolving into a temper certainly didn’t need to be added to the pot.

‘Another time then,’ Rayia thought to herself as she turned her attention back towards the bar and its interesting patrons. She was curious to know exactly how Camille knew of Felacatians and enough to be wary of them. A raucous group of supposed explorers and historians if Ailmar’s words were to be believed.

Padding over to the bar, Rayia weaved through the crowd with ease. Her feline reflexes and ability to sense movement allowed her to simply follow the flow of the crowd until she had come to the edge of the bar. The crew seemed preoccupied with a shanty, and Rayia hummed along as she waited for them to settle back into place. Rayia slipped almost silently into a seat besides Ailmar when the opportunity presented itself.

“There we go. Hope I didn’t keep you waiting too long, did I?” Rayia asked with a small smile.

Even though the Echani said he was okay, as Jin'lian took a longer look, he began to notice something. Braze was not moving his arm all to much, rather it was a little to much towards the floppy side. As loomi began to inspect a rock Jin quietly moved behind Braze inspecting without touching. It left the Cattari wondering what had happened. "Was it bad that this seemed more in line with my interests than crystals?" He asked in his head till an audible crack drew their attention.

Looking over at what the Godoan had done, Jin saw the girl pull a blue crystal from the inside. "Oh damn. That was a very sneaky crystal," Jin'lian said impressed. As Braze turned and asked his question it was obvious the Cattari's eyes moved to look at the arm then back up. "Not yet no." Then again, Jin hasn't really being trying reach out yet. "I'll try now while we are stood."

Given everyone was paused, they took a moment to focus. His brow furrowed and ears pointed forwards while concentrating. Feeling through the force as it guided Jin'lian's senses, a very faint chime came from deeper with in. "Okay, yeah, maybe... further inside." Said the kid as his eyes opened and offered a smile at Braze and Loomi.

"Braze may I ask you a question that may be personal?" Jin gestured to his own arm implying the question was about the Echani's arm.
